We live in Garden Grove, but every time were in the area, we stop by and pick up some Broasted Chicken. Its the best!! SO crispy on the outside and unbelievably juicy on the inside and the seasoning is so fantastic!The service is always wonderful and the gentleman whose always working the counter is a real sweetheart and always smiling!Cant wait to go back! (Took the video for my friend, didnt think Id be sharing with the world)

My first time and the broasted chicken was absolutely delicious! I’m usually very thirsty after eating fried chicken but not at all thirsty after eating their amazing chicken. The potatoes were great too and I will definitely go back there soon!

Huckleberrys famous fried chicken is a local favorite here in Huntington Beach. Its also my favorite place to get fried chicken hands down!Simple easy and truly delicious😘The owners are truly good hardworking people who take pride in the preparation of their food.With a steady stream of regular customers, I recommend calling in your order ..as they do not rush the process of making there delicious fried chicken. I never mind the wait, because I know the end result will be worth it.Again nothing fancy just some of the best fried chicken youll eat.Of course they have lots of other goodies on the menu...but the fried chicken is the cornerstone here. That being said they also serve sandwiches, which are also a local favorite.No one complains here..its all good.if youre getting it to go, Carol the owner Will leave the lid on the container a little open on purpose...she told me to leave it that way...once I didnt listen and the chicken was a little softer. So listen to Carol to truly enjoy their delicious fried chicken.

I’ve been a customer for years and they have a great selection with something for everyone. I used to order the broasted chicken because I like crunchy foods and it feels like you’re eating fried chicken but a somewhat healthier, less salty and greasy version (and because it’s not breaded it doesn’t spike your sugar). The broasted chicken is very good. I’ve been a customer for so long I remember when their potato salad was more of a Korean style and it’s not as good as it used to be but still fine.Recently I ordered a sandwich and though I usually make my own so it’s healthier, the sandwich from here was delicious, fresh and brimming with ingredients. My partner has tried almost all of the cold sandwiches and he says they’re all tasty. I don’t come here often but if I’m going to eat a takeout sandwich I’ll get it from here.Another thing I like about this restaurant is how consistent they are (except for the potato salad.. please bring the old version back). A lot of restaurants these days are inconsistent and I have to guess if it’ll be a good or bad day when I visit (and if it’s an off day or they change the recipe without telling me I waste money on something I don’t want) but that’s not the case here.The owners, especially Carol, are just wonderful. I’m sure running a popular restaurant is exhausting and hard but she’s always so kind. I’m the type of customer where even if your food is great I’ll stay away if the owners are unpleasant. It’s always nice to see her and support this business.

I absolutely love this mom and pop sandwich shop. The owners are the sweetest and always make me feel welcome.I started coming here when Covid first hit and still find myself craving their cashew chicken sandwich. Super fresh and a much healthier option than the other sandwich franchises around. These days I’ve branched out to their broasted chicken and it was so worth it! Just know that if you order the broasted chicken, it takes about 15 minutes. :)

The Best Chicken in O.C. hands down. If your looking for simple great, juicy, flavorful chicken without the over the board hip cliche trends.This is the spot! O.C. best kept secret. The chicken is broasted meaning less fat and more healthier than regular deep fried chicken. You will for sure crave more! I highly recommend getting one of the Family Meals with broaster potatoes and a side choice. Make sure you get Cajun flavoring and lots of Ranch. Trust me you will not be dissapointed. This does not compare to KFC or Popeyes. The owners are really nice and take pride in their service. 👍🏽🙂

I was so hungry for a roast beef french dip sandwich that I drove to this place when I saw the reviews on here. I was so disappointed I got a large roast beef and ended up taking the meat from half and putting it on the other half to even make it taste like a roast beef sandwich instead of a lot of bread. The dipping sauce was mediocre. It really had very little taste. A little disappointed and Ill keep searching for a better hot roast beef sandwich.

Great sandwiches at very reasonable prices. One of the extremely rare places that know how to place the ingredients end to end, so that you’re not taking a big bite of bread and mustard on the ends. The turkey, ham, and Swiss is my go to, but the cashew chicken salad on squaw is also amazing. I haven’t tried the broasted chicken, but I’ve heard it’s excellent. Good food takes time, so call ahead and save yourself 15 minutes.

I ordered chicken wings and was pleasantly surprised to receive the 8 of crispiest whole wings I have tasted in a long time pure deliciousness. The Philly cheese steak was so cheesy and delicious we truly enjoyed this place will come back soon only advice I can give is bring your own Louisiana hot sauce and order the chicken you wont regret it

Great find! Yes, the fried chicken is better than anything I’ve had in years.I would suggest that you get the most published items. I had a beef dip sandwich that was actually strange. The au jus was weak and the beef was odd. Maybe my taste buds were off. But no thanks. I ate one bite and threw it away. My husband LOVED everything else. Fast hot reasonable and close to our hotel.

I love this place so much!The cute Korean couple is the best here! Always helping me with a smile!My favorite is the Broasted chicken. It takes a while so make sure you order ahead of time.I really love love their potatoes too! Perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. Friendly family owned sandwich shop I ran across by accident while waiting in the center. It is definitely a hidden gem in HB. I had the chicken breast sandwich and really enjoyed it. The customer service provided by what appeared to be the owner was what made me want to right the review. Good food, customer service, and family owned, couldnt ask for more. I will definitely be back to try the roasted chicken everyone mentions!

This is a family owned and operated business and I have been a patron of this place for at least a decade now. I hear their sandwiches are heavenly but the reason I frequent this place is because of their broasted chicken. I live in orange but drive to HB just for their chicken. It is delicious and I wish they were closer so I could eat their chicken more often. The broasted chicken skin is absolutely mouthwatering tasty and the meat is so juicy. It’s as if it’s fried but it’s not! Trust and try the chicken at least once you won’t regret it!

I enjoy eating at Huckleberrys Famous Sandwich. The couple that run the place are very friendly and courteous to the patrons that order food there. I look forward to the Sandwich menu when ordering. My favorite is the meatball sandwich. I know that Fujis is the more popular food shop in that court. But its always a joy and delight looking forward to my next visit at Huckleberrys Famous Sandwich.

I tried their broasted chicken after reading good reviews about it. I was bit disappointed with taste, or lack of taste. The order took awhile since they actually have to broast it, which is a good sign. The chicken came out piping hot, also not a bad sign, but the flavor was lacking. The chicken was blend. I didnt bother trying second time.

Having only seen broasted chicken in the Midwest, I stopped into this place out of pure curiosity. The menu is not what I expected and requires some further investigation, but I ended up ordering the polish sausage sandwich and it was super delicious even after 40 minutes of midday 405 traffic back to Irvine.I will definitely have to return for the chicken, the teriyaki, and more sandwiches.

A very nice, clean family run place. The owners are very friendly and really aim to please. We came for rthr chicken and it did not dissapoint. It was very tender and juicy and had good flavor. My kids liked it so much they each ordered an extra piece. Also the potatos are delicious. Not sure how they make them but they come out with a very tasty layer on top that tastes like its been toasted and its soft and flavorful on the inside. I would go back just for the potatoes alone lol. We didnt try any of their sandwiches but Ive heard theyre delicious. Cant wait to go back and try their blt as I saw the owner with a plate of perfectly cooked bacon. 5 stars for this local favorite.

Went there for lunch and ordered two sandwiches and was charged for drinks as well. I told the cashier i didnt want drinks and she said well I charged you so what do you want.( she had just done the same thing to the couple in front of us) I had to argue with her for a couple minutes before i just gave up and took the drinks. This place has the best Broaster chicken I ever tasted. Its so juicy and delicious. Its also healthier than KFC, Popeye chicken, and Pollo Loco, its the special way they cook their chicken and potatoes (in pressure cookers I believe). Thats just part of their menu. They make great deli sandwiches also. You can get it to go or eat there. I go there as often as I can.Its owned by a very nice Korean couple. You wont be disappointed by trying this place out. Sells some of the best broasted chicken in the county. Chicken looks to be butchered in-house, skin is ridiculously crispy and tasty, while the meat stays tender and juicy.I personally recommend the 4pc chicken dinner with the Cajun seasoning. I prefer to eat in the order of wings -> drumstick -> breast -> thigh, as the smaller pieces cool down quicker. I eat the breast before the thigh as the breast will get dry if you leave it too long.Be careful when you first bite in as the food is fresh out of the broaster and is very hot. Dont burn tongues people; burning tongues mean you dont taste as well.

I found out about this place on yelp, we had an appointment in the area so we gave it a shot cause of the rating of there chicken, well we were really happy with taste, service (the cashier was friendly & funny), quantity & quality were good, now that said we were informed prior there would be a 15 min wait we were ok with that, it came out juicy, hot & with big potatoes halved with a spice sprinkled on them, very tasty we also had a small side of macaroni salad which was 👌 for my taste, a little sweet but 👌. Now THIS 5 star rating was for there chicken uc we live 30mi away but were in the area for appointment & we will return 2 Huckleberry when we go back. It is a hole in the wall, small place but its handicap friendly, clean (including bathroom) but dated (I use walking aids) & as I said cashier was 😎 & attentive, so give this place a try if ur a broasted chicken fan, prices are reasonable & fair. The 3pc was $7.99 I believe but the pieces were full size not small chintzy pcs like other places.

One of the best restaurants near Huntington Beach.The menu is diverse, the portions are generous, and most of all, all of the menu items are very tasty.Sandwiches, salads, and chicken are recommended.Everyone who works is kind and friendly.I recommend visiting if you are nearby.
