Owner was very rude, tofu and vegetables were raw and was not the same recipe, service was a long wait, did not eat dish, returned it and was still charged. Will not be returning, owner has no customer service skills, had this dish many times, dish was completly changed, raw and missing vegetables.

Stopped here for late lunch on way out of San Francisco. The place is small but the food is excellent!! We ordered entrees but they do offer a variety of lunch specials. If you cant eat in order take out, you wont be disappointed. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles. Easy to get to off the 101.

Delicious vegan chicken options. Hole in the wall type of feel – mostly takeaway but some tables inside too. Massive portion sizes!Really amazing flavour. I had the bok choy, string beans and vegan orange chicken and everything was delicious. Definitely recommend for vegans and vegetarians (and omnivores love it too).

Tasty, tasty tasty ! We ordered for delivery and it got to us very quickly. The pot stickers were tasty, fresh and filled to the edges. The kung pao chicken was just the right amount of spicy and the chicken was very tender and seasoned really well. Lots of good ingredients including fresh veggies. The beef was tender and tasty. The rice and noodle dishes were fresh and tasty too. Everything was really good. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Awesome folks with great quick eats. Not the ritz but their kindness and he quality of food sets it apart. Hulu Wa was a cartoon in China that the owners grew up with. Need a T-shirt !

The owner of the place treat me awesomely, I hydro jet all their drains, unclog, DEGREASE and clear their sewer pipes. After I was done they treat me for some food. The food was super good and amazing. It melts in your mouth. I recommend this place for any body who wants excellent Chinese food. Price is on point, any questions talk to the owner Derek. He will take care of you. Please come an enjoy this awesome good comfort food. You will be in great hands. :)

This place is lovely - and a huge improvement from the previous owners. Food is fresh and delicious and portions are generous. Also a plus that its open all day and offers delivery. We especially loved the Mu Shu Chicken and Honey Walnut Prawns. Will be sure to order again!

This place used to be Happy Garden, but I guess they changed ownership and I tried their food again and it was just as good, if not better. Always been my favorite little Chinese take out place. Havent eaten in, but I do like the relaxed environment and drink options. I definitely prefer this place to any other Chinese in the area.

A hole in the wall in an unexciting area with basic dining space. we came here for takeout during lockdown so can only speak to the food which was quite delicious. not overly seasoned. the eggplant was especially yummy.

My company ordered from this location for lunch, it was a very large order over $200. They called to say it would arrive late, which was fine. They brought the food in boxes for eggs and the containers were leaking all over the place. I have a soy allergy and wrote the following on my order, Tofu allergy. Please do not put any. Thank you! It arrived leaking all over and had large chunks of TOFU. I was starving so I was forced to pick around the tofu but still got violently Ill. Be wary of this place.

I like the new management. Restaurant is cleaner and food is excellent. I tried their Darwen Especial and its one of the best. Give it a try spicy or mild is very good. The owner Derrick and Sharon are very nice as well. I will come back here anytime.

Stopped here on my way through town. This is a hidden gem. Excellent food, I had eggplant and rice . It was delicious.Quiet low key food hot and excellent service. They do for sum all day. With it was closer to where I live

Wonderful Chinese food. I try to stop by when I am in the area. Big fan of small, family owned businesses so this not only fits my personal interest, my budget, it also fills us up with tasty favorites like crispy noodles and Kung Pao Chicken. A treat meal for sure.

Great place for Chinese in the terra linda area!I’ve tried almost everything on their menu and it’s all good. We’ll order for work lunches or go there as a team and order a ton of food and everyone enjoys it from the vegetarians to the carnivores. Friendly staff, cheap food and large portions. It’s the best!

I didnt expect much when ordering the salt & pepper wings but they are now a household favorite! Along with the green bean w/ pork. A silver lining of the pandemic is that we probably wouldnt have discovered our favorite takeout place otherwise. Weve been ordering those two items almost every week during the pandemic.

Winds of changes hit San Francisco. Hard. Monuments are gone. Blue Angels dont come. Homeless flock in from everywhere. Stores are boarded up. Gun point robberies are a block from your home. Nothing is what it was. Except one thing. The Chinese food. Our last hope. Yes. Chinese food! In these ever changing times we all need something that is stable and good and its goodness is for every one. Black police woman. White doctor. Latino engineer. Chinese food. And the modest hardworking people who make it. Derek, the Owner of Hulu Wa is my dear neighbor. He goes to work so early and comes to his family when its dark. His food is all you ever wanted when youre in a mood for Chinese and then some. De! Li! Ci! Ous! Oh soooooo gooooood! I have attempted to give it 6th star, but Google Maps does not like free thinkers. My friends, I dont always go for Chinese food. But when I do, I order from Hulu Wa Cuisine. When you taste it, you will believe. There is hope. Its going to be alright people.

Food was wilted as it arrived via delivery an hour and 48 minutes after it was supposed to. Delivery person explained she had other customers and got lost. Multiple Items ordered were missing and replacements (determined by the restaurant) were rubbery and greasy. Will not be returning.

Aggressive driver. Zooming down the street, cutting other drivers off and making illegal turns during rush hour, around 3pm in residential neighborhoods. This is an older male with long white beard. If the food is anything like this driver, I would just steer clear of it. Almost caused an accident on March 11, 2020 on Merrydale Road, near McDonald’s. Shame on him.

Friendly staff from Hainan, a wide variety of items on the menu with very fresh veggies and different specials rotated in every week (see the whiteboard near the entrance!), even offers to cook new dishes if you ask a day or so in advance!

Advertise delivery but then pressure you into driving to them claiming heavy traffic (suspect no actual driver). Then I waited for nearly an hour for my food only to find it had been on the counter behind her for nearly 30 minutes even after asking if it was ready. Second chance given. Never again.

Very [authentic] Chinese flavor! Generous portions! Affordable! I came here for takeout for the first time today, and the food was praised by everyone👍! They said they didn’t know there was a Chinese restaurant here before and they would come here often in the future. I will definitely do the same as long as I have rest😝
