Hunan Garden Restaurant in South Lake Tahoe

Fantastic dinner! My family of 4 did the “Special Dinner”, and the amount of food exceeded our expectations. Definitely can feed 6 or 8, the portions were huge! We had so much leftover for lunch the next day. All of the dishes were so flavorful and delicious. Nothing was bland, and the ingredients were fresh. Our favorites were the Mongolian Beef, Fried Rice, and Sweet & Sour Pork.Service was super quick, and we got seated right away at around 6:30pm on a Saturday. Will definitely come back again with more family/friends to help eat all the food!

We went in as a big group - food service was very fast! All the dishes we ordered were really tasty and hot perfect for the cold weather. Especially loved hunan chicken wings there were the best! Soups, fried rice, even eggplant dishes in vegetarian options very well made! Portion sizes are big.

My family came to South lake Tahoe for the gondola ride and roller coaster. They were hungry..looked on yelp and decided to try this place. The reviews were good..so we drove here.When we arrived about 1:00..literally it was empty. I was a little suspect...but we decided to stay since we were already there.as we looked over the menu we saw that it was family style. So we each ordered a dish and shared it.We ended up ordering sweet and sour pork...sizzling beef...walnut shrimp...house chow mein...general chicken..egg rolls and crab Rangoon.Where to start. The food came out fresh and hot. The egg rolls and crab Rangoon came out first and was very good...crispy and delicious.The chow mein was 12 95 and came with beef..chicken..shrimp...and pork. There really was not much meat and the flavor was just o.k. I ordered extra general sauce and pit it on the noodles to make them more flavorful...The walnut shrimp were so good. The sauce was creamy and delicious...I would order it again...15.95The general chicken was crispy and delicious. The portion was good and came out piping hot. I really like the flavor of the sauce...11.95My daughter loved loved the sizzling beef. She said the flavor was amazing. It was goid...the meat tender.. the sauce was so good too. 14.95The sweet and sour pork ...mmmm 11.95Very good sauce...crispy meat and hot hot hot... if you like sweet and sour pork...you will like this.We all enjoyed the food...we would come back.

Food was excellent, but the prices are expensive for Chinese food.My friend and I went for their all you can eat buffet. But they discontinued. No sure reply if it will return.Well worth the money.The place is very clean and spacious.Sorry I was so hungry I forgot to take photos . I will add theM next timeThe spring rolls, chicken with cashew nuts and the mixed protein chow fun was excellentRice does not come with your entree it’s $2 more.I did not see a drinks menu or soft drink menu . The water was very good well filtered

$12-$13 lunch specials comes w soup, spring roll, & choice of rice or chow mein. Lots of spicy options! See the spice in the szcheuan shrimp.

Decided to try this out on the way after the Inspiration point and Eagle Falls hike. The food is fantastic! Try their fried fish with szechuan sauce or black bean sauce. The chow fun and the eggplant are also heavenly

Need a comfort, large portions, affordable and a satisfying meal after a hike at Emeral Bay? This is the place. I recommend the wonton soup, chow mein, and House Special Fried Rice.

Love this place. Come when ever we are in Lake Tahoe. Food is great & great price . Dinner for 2 $50. And took 1/2 of it home.
