Hungry Elephant Bar & Grill in Visalia

Ordered food via popular app. (North Indian evaluating restaurants, may be a little harsh)Food is spectacular, traditional, and good portions for main entries. Desserts to go are a little on the small side. Im surprised that I couldnt get basmati white rice to go, and it didnt come with any of the entrees. Forgot to add the samosas are phenomenal- loved the sprinkle of chaat masala over then as they came out of the fryer.

Everything about Hungry Elephant was perfect!! The family that runs the restaurant are the sweetest people, the food was packed with flavor (and actually spicy!), and we had such a great time. I will be coming by every time I am in Visalia!

My wife and I could not be more excited that this place opened! We love Indian food and used to have to drive to Fresno to get good Indian food. No more! The food here is fresh, delicious and authentic! The menu includes some of our favorite Indian dishes that many places do not have, like malai kofta, baingan bharta, dal tadka and kadai chicken. The atmosphere is also very nice. Please go here and go here often, I know we will!

Terrific all around. Wonderful service. Very friendly and the food was very flavorful. This place will be one of my to go places. I absolutely recommend it to everyone who wants to try authentic Indian food. I simply love it and I guarantee you will love it too.

Excellent food. Our server Jay was kind enough to describe the menu to us since it was a new experience. We overate, and it was glorious. Try the garlic Na’an bread and the butter chicken. Delicious. The bartender is still trying to dial in the cocktails but they were still so good and he worked with us to get it right. Overall it was great. I hope they do well.

I love to try new places while my wife doesn’t so it took some talking my wife into trying Hungry Elephant. Needless to say we were very happy we did try a new place. We don’t know what a bunch of the dishes were but the staff was very helpful in educating us. The food was very delicious and seemed authentic. We will be returning for sure.

Amazing atmosphere and service, the food was great as well! I was expecting the food to be a bit spicier but it wasnt considering I chose the middle option for spice, but I will definitely be going back, the lamb was tender and flavorful and the mixed drink I had was wonderfully mixed.

I recently dined at Hungry Elephant and I must say, the food was absolutely outstanding. The crispy and delicious naan they serve is a true masterpiece, the perfect accompaniment to their delectable dishes. Their lamb masala was a flavor explosion like no other, with a rich and aromatic sauce that had me savoring every bite. The matter paneer was another delightful surprise, featuring the creamiest, most flavorful sauce Ive ever tasted.I cant wait to go back!!

Really good food and portions. The fresh made naan and samosas were awesome as well. There was no wait and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back!
