Staff here are very nice and welcoming, and Id say that the food was pretty quick to come out :) its also just all so yummy and for a pretty good price overall Id say. I find a lot of miso soups to be too salty, but this one wasnt, and I think all the flavors were well balanced and yummy. Also the sushi is just very flavorful and they have good variety. This is a very good place to go and I highly recommend!

Everytime my wife and I have eaten a this place the food is always very good. A prefect 10 along with the service and the atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. The both of us have been at this place ever since it has opened next to the Brenden Theaters. Has move across the street we still have gone their.

I have been a regular customer here since 1999 when it was at the theater building. The food is consistently great, the prices fair and the owners are family.This is the place to be. Be it a casual meal, or a special occasion, this place is amazing. Great food. Highly recommended.

My parents have been coming to this restaurant since my mom was pregnant with me, I am 17 and I’ve been coming to this place since I was born. Everything about this place is beautifully crafted and made with so much love. I still remember when the were right by the movie theater across the street, my family and I would everyday of the weekend bc of how much we love it. The owners and their daughter are amazing people, the cooks/sushi makers are hardworking and make the most delicious food, served fresh with outstanding flavors, the waiters and waitresses are always nice and welcoming, as well hardworking. The owners are there making sure everything is at place and you feel welcomed, either in the kitchen, working at the cash register or simply making a heart warming environment. My usual order when I go is 1(or 2) candy roll(s), love wings and sometimes I’ll go with the kids spicy chicken. All their food is the most delicious and enjoyable food I’ve ever had. In 2 weeks I am moving across the country and I’m very saddened that these days will be my last ones of eating at my favorite restaurant. Although I will visit, I will miss and wish the very best for I love teriyaki and sushi’s business. With all love and respect, thank you to all of those who have/continue to make this place shine like no other. ℹ️ ❤️ 🍣

We have enjoyed coming here for about 20 years now! My Japanese relatives love it, say it feels like home. Owners are lovely. Salad, miso soup, rolls, dinners always freshly made. Quick service and fair prices too.

Terrible! We just paid $50 for soggy calamari and chicken teriyaki that had hardly any rice and the chicken was paper thin and it’s not even cooked in teriyaki. Just thrown on a plate dry and you have to squirt your own sauce on that’s been sitting at the table. Never going back.

Not bad, but not great either. Got two sushi rolls [49er and spider], chicken teriyaki, and a beef noodles dish. Smaller portions for higher prices. Decent food but nothing special; likely wont be back.It was very busy on Friday night, ordered take out and they projected one hour till pick up. It was at least ready on time which was appreciated. All around 🆗 but not Peter-recommended.

Only recently became a sushi fan after eating sushi from I ❤️ Teriyaki & Sushi. My friend introduced me to the XTC Roll and Bruces Roll (omg so delicious). Their Love wings are really good as well. My kids love the California roll, and the Salmon Tsutsumi. My oldest just tried the tiger roll today and he said it was a mild spice and an array of flavors.They are always busy so if youre ordering for take out make sure you give yourself plenty of time (on a Friday night or was about 45 min for a take out order... Which I ordered later in the evening so my own fault). Everytime I get food here I am never disappointed, they have excellence down to an art and everything is always perfect!Thank you!

Delicious Food!This place has it all: central location (right across the street from Brendan Theater), bright & airy dining room, free parking (in back), super clean, and friendly & efficient staff. Add all that to the delicious food and youve got a fantastic place. I had the sushi combo, and the fish was fresh. It also came with the largest California roll Ive seen and some tasty miso soup. Ill be back soon.

This place hasnt changed in the past 15 years since Ive started coming here which is why I love it so much. We ended up staying past their lunch time, which is when they close from 3:30-5 I believe and they didnt try to kick us out. I really appreciated them allowing us to stay and talk while they ate their lunch. Their food and service as always was great! Best sushi spot in the bay.

Came for lunch and took my husband out for Valentines Day (plus I was craving it). I have no complaints of this establishment. Food is always excellent and servers are pretty attentive, especially when they see my water half full. This will be their last weekend open at this location as they are moving. Luckily its not far from where they are currently.

I sometimes order from here and its ok but today I ordered a california roll and it was terrible, to start with the size was just a joke for $12 and it was warm, fish warm!, miso soup very salty and the beef curry just not good, very disappointed 😞! Not sure if I will come back or can recommend

Honestly the worst food experience Ive had in a long time. We both ordered the chicken ramen, which was a special that day. It tasted like canned chicken broth and noodles, with chewy boiled chicken on top. All of the tables were dirty when we came in, and we had to stand around for 10 minutes until a waitress noticed us and cleaned off a table a few minutes later. Im not sure how this place has such good reviews... But maybe when we visited was just a bad night for them. However, I will admit their prices are good.

Sushi was fresh and it tasted good. I liked the Zesty Roll and the Salmon Roll the best. The only roll I wouldn’t order again is the Volcano roll. It was only mildly spicy and the crab had too much sauce. I didn’t need to add any additional soy sauce because it was so salty already. I would much rather order endless amounts of the Zesty roll (my favorite).

One of my favorite places to eat when in Concord! This place is the way to go if you dont plan to spend a lot of money for lunch or dinner. Casual but cute eatery. Outside seating is also available. This place offers fast and friendly service. The kids love love their chicken Teriyaki. Its a must order when we come to eat here. One of my favorites is the Saba Nigiri also a must when I come here! And you never have to call on them to keep your water filled!

My family & I have been eating here for years & not only is the food awesome, but we love the staff/cooks/sushi artists too! I always order the chicken teriyaki boxes, which are phenomenal and come with the perfect amount of food... They also have a super inventive sushi/roll menu that has yet to disappoint!! Definitely recommend this local favorite to anyone whos craving some fantastic Japanese food!

I LOVE this pleace. Been going for years. I would have given a 5, but I recently had a horrible experience. I tried to call in a order and had the owner himself hang up on me after trying to order my curry on the side because I live far and didnt want it to get soggy before I could get home and eat it. Ina the female onwer was able to do it so I am not sure why it was such a difficult thing. I called BACK because I still wanted food, I had to call 4 times before the picked up (I assume they have caller ID) I did not get an apology.

Havent eaten there but i deliver for grubhub from there and its hard to social distance with a restaurant full of people and they never have the orders ready and i end up waiting at least 10-15 min. Sometimes but i guess being that they are always crowded means their food is very good at least thats what my customers i deliver to say!!

Terrible customer service here. A Waitress was very rude to my family telling them to move out of the way when there was no where to go. We tried holding a door open for her and she decided to get an attitude at us. This was our first time coming to this place and certainly will never come back. Waitress had a very bad attitude on her. After leaving we called the restaraunt to speak to a manager, we were able to contact them and the manager basically tried to put up an excuse for the waitress no apology for the way we were treated and then he proceeded to say that “We get plenty of business here we dont need your business” then hung up. So not only is the waitress disrespectful but so is the management.

Not the worst but not the best. I would prefer getting Safeway sushi to theirs. Sorry. You also pay for the location so they get away with being substandard. They don’t even include a salad and miso soup but you still pay more for their sushi. Won’t be visiting them anymore with so many others that get it right.

Waiter was young but was not at all short of a great server..He recommended awesomely while ordering for my kids and helped us get to our movie on time..Great smile, Service, and food! I have been coming to place for years. I drove all the way from Antioch to get a meal because it was the only meal I had a craving for after having chemotherapy yesterday. When I paid I confirmed that it came with a sauce so that I could pay extra for it if need be. She assured me it did. I get more than half way home and realized it did not. The lady that answered the phone only resolution was that I would get a free sauce next time. So I am just forced to eat my meal in a manner I never eat it. She then told me she was busy, told me not to come back and hung up in my face. Very disappointed

Nice place. Sushi is pretty good for the price. Just give yourself an adequate amount of time for service especially on the weekends. It can take upto 30 minutes to get your sushi. My favorite is the Bruce roll.

This place is an incredible gem in concord. The wife and I have eaten here dozens of times and always leave satisfied and full. There is a great selection of sushi and other treats, and a huge (15ish) selection of beers on tap. The ramen is also great if you’re in the mood for some warm comfort food. The appetizers show up quickly and don’t disappoint. As for the staff, they are very quick and friendly, and since most of them are family they really have great suggestions. If you like nigiri, I would suggest the butterfish or of course the toro. They also have the ability to make any sushi insanely spicy with a blend of capsasian powder if you are a chili head, just ask for a level 10! The wings are fantastic, called the love wings. Try this place out! Great family run business with people who seem to care about the quality of their food and the happiness of the customer. 10/10

The best Saba Ive had in quite some time. Their Garisaba roll, filled with Saba and ginger, is a thrifty choice. For a slight upcharge, theyre more than happy to roll the rice on the outside and fill it with extra Saba. Not to mention that their crab bake is a delicious guilty pleasure of an appetizer.

This is my absolute favorite place for beef teriyaki. This place has ruined all other teriyaki for me. I cannot find another place that I like as much or better than this. Unfortunately for me it s 70 miles from my house. But I do stop by every chance I get when I am in town visiting family. We need one of these in the North Bay!

I have been eating here often (twice in the same day a few times :D ) since 2001. The owner is there often and every time anything has been wrong he generally makes it right. If someone has a bad experience at this place, you should talk to him about it, respecfully, and i am sure he will make it right. The teriyaki plates are what drags me here. Recently i tried chicken katsu donburi and it is amazing and filling. If you want something great, ask for the teriyaki roll with lion king sauce...i just love this placeAs for wait times, sushi tends to take a little longer because they make it fresh and have tons of demand for sushi and 2 guys...i dont care for sushi but i have heard nothing but complements from my friends...they love the sushi there. If you are the person that cant wait for food, order spicy chicken or pork teriyaki. Fast and good.
