I have come here a few times but had a really bad experience with dine in today that definitely will make me not come back. When addressing an issue with the waitress, all she said was sorry and stand there awkwardly but did not try to fix anything. She rarely checked on our table as well, i was left waiting for her to acknowledge so i could say something/order. I feel terrible i wasted food but it was just too hard to eat.

The staff are nice and the place seems super popular. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t that great to our family. Foodwise, it was average at best, but I’m giving 4 stars because of the nice staff and the nice interior. The peppers were the worst. The takoyaki was the best out of what we ordered.

First time visit and really enjoy the spicy tonkotsu ramen, matsunomi ramen, karaage chicken and spicy cucumber. Great food flavors and excellent friendly service. We definitely will come here again soon.

Found this new Ramen place in Aliso!! We went down to try on a Friday night. Of course it is located in the most busy plaza. It’s not bad, we waited for 10-15 minutes to get a table.They have really nice patio seats. I hope I can get to try the patio next time, we got seated indoors.We ordered two Ramen bowls and an appetizer.Spicy tonkatsu ramen is strongly recommended! (If you like a little spiciness in your soup) The broth is so flavorful and rich.Right now you can yelp check in get free toppings including Chashu!!( Is this real?! Yes, it is!!!)THEIR CHASHU IS SOMETHING I WOULD DIE FOR.Jk, as you can see in the picture. The meat is extremely soft inside and a little bit crispy on the outside. The meat they used includes a good ratio of fat meat and slim meat.So far this place has my favorite Chashu in Orange County. I’m so so happy to find a place that gives you a good amount of meat for ramen and tastes this good! You know how it is, other ramen places only give you 2 or 3 slices max.They also have combo deal to have small appetizers along with the ramen. We ordered Takoyaki, and yes it’s really good and hot. Key for Takoyaki is to have it fresh and hot, so when you take a bite, the juice will melt in your month. :)Yuzu ramen, one of their specialty on the menu. But i don’t recommend you try it unless you really like Yuzu. As an Asian, I dont really like Yuzu. It gives the soup a little bit of a sour taste.Slurp slurp, we will be back for sure.

New ramen place that open not that long ago so wanted to try it out. We ordered Miso Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, Kara-age (fried chicken), Edamame and couple other items. The Miso Ramen is good, not too salty and has a good favor. Tonkotsu ramen is basically the same as Miso ramen far as flavors go, nothing special average ramen soup base. The Chicken Kara-age was too thick that it was very dry and hard to eat, wouldnt recommend it. Overall experience was average, the server made a mistake on our check, food is average, service is slow but still gave 4 stars!

The chicken in our ramen was very cold and dropped into the bowl just before being served to us. After inspecting it a little, it was clear that chicken was not made today, probably 2 or 3 days ago. I asked the server and she said that they refrigerate the chicken to keep it fresh. Well the chicken was days old and after steeping in the broth, it made the rest of the bowl smell funky. The server knew that we werent happy about being served a safety risk in a bowl, so she avoided eye contact with us for the rest of our time and just dropped the tab mumbling under her breath. Shes young so I imagine she was just anxious, but her other coworker was nice enough and had good social skills to apologize for the quality of the food and our experience. This place seriously needs to be shut down, its not legal to serve us what we ate.

I ate a spicy tonkotsu ramen. I love the soup verrrrrry much!!!!! I am a Japanese, but I think it is not inferior to Japanese ones. I really love it. Noodles were not bad. Char siu was also awesome!!! It is one of the best char siu I have ever eaten.I would say that the soup was tepid.One of my friends ordered chiken ramen, a bite of which I tried... It was... terrible, unfortunately. Soup does not taste at all; it was just like tepid water.Honestly, I highly recommend the former, but not the latter.The price is very high, as is the normal case in California; mine was 14 dollars+tax and tips. I wanna come here at least once two months or something. (If it were as expensive as Japanese ones, about 7 dollars, I would eat every week lol)

I don’t know what happened to this place in comparison to when it first opened, but it’s changed. Went there for dinner with my family last night and the noodles were all stuck together and did not taste fresh at all. The bowls have also changed and the portion size was half what it used to be. There was only one poor waitress serving all the people and although she was nice, I could tell she was stressed. Although clearly not her fault, things just took longer than it expected. I’m really sad because I used to really like this ramen place and now the quality of the ramen is quite poor and not even my kids, who love ramen, enjoyed their meal. Sadly, I no longer recommend this place.

Perfect ramen shop close to home. My husband and I were looking for a new spot to eat and found this. The staff was kind and efficient. We were worried when one of the staff members didnt write down our order but when we got the food, we realized he definitely knows what hes doing. The food was exactly what wed expect from a ramen shop. Were so used to going up to northern OC to find and eat food ramen but was very relieved to have find this one here. We ordered the Miso Ramen and the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen both were good... I liked how spicy the Tonkotsu was so Id order that one next time. We also each added Gyoza which is a better deal then ordering the taps plate. We had to take the order to go because we didnt think our kids wanted ramen for dinner so it was a little cool by the time we got home but I appreciated how they separated the broth from the fillings. We hope to done in next time. Price is average for a restaurant in Aliso.

OMG...where do I even begin? The broth is so light but creamy and hearty. The eggs were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The pork belly was absolutely unreal and just melts in your mouth. The whole i20 Ramen experience was by far the most delicious and satisfying meal I have had in a WHILE. Last but certainly not least, the service is excellent. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home! We came from San Clemente to eat here and will 100% be back as often as possible!

Great little gem in Aliso Viejo. Service was great; there was one guy in particular who was basically speed walking the entire night (8/16/19) - thank you!I really enjoyed the spicy tunkotsu ramen - would definitely order it again. Wife enjoyed the Matsunomi ramen, though it wasnt for me after her first bite she got big eyes and said great! The ramen was very bad,the noodles tasted and looked old, the broth was very thin like water. They dont serve it with an egg or half an egg so my family and I ordered one egg for each of our ramen plates and these eggs were horrible, they were very brown and they were sweet. My husband asked the waiter what was the reason of that and he said they marinate the eggs in some broth but seriously they were so sweet that I can say it was like putting a candy into the ramen. We spent $65 for 4 ramen plates and 4 nasty eggs. Not worth it, not going back again!

Negative stars on service, but 3 stars on Ramen.At 6:30pm it took an hour to get seated, grossly understaffed with only one wait staff and one cook. Wait staff had also totally forgotten to seat from wait list and was busiest handling walk in to go orders and seating anyone who complained first?! Appetizers came out in to go containers although we were dining in, and plastic spoons were given with disposal chopsticks to eat dine in Ramen?! Luckily that did not detract from a good bowl of Ramen - toothsome noodles and good spicy pork broth. Would recommend trying again, but if understaffed, I recommend ordering to go and seating yourself at outside tables to eat.

The interior design of the restaurant is just beautiful. it is extremely simple elegant and shows that there was some thought put into it. the food itself tasted incredibly amazing. the Ramen was not oily, but instead it was full of flavors that burst in your mouth. the meat cooked there was extremely soft, tender, and well marinated. Ive been here twice now since it opened about a month ago. The first time was ok, the service was slow and the food was par. But we went again last night and my husband and I were quite pleased! The ramen was very good and the service was much better! I think they just needed some training. We will for sure be coming back again and I fully expect to change this to a 5 star review after another positive experience.Keep up the good work!Update: changed this to 5 stars. This is now one of my favorite places around here! Last time I went, our waiter recognized me and remembered my order. I only wish they were open all day instead of only lunch and dinner. I came by at 2:30 hoping for a late lunch and was bummed when they were closed. Highly recommend!

First time here.When the food came out my ramen was incorrect. Ordered the spicy ramen, was just regular. Wife ordered an extra egg, didnt come with it. The waiter TOOK MY WIFES SPOON AND STARTED TO SWIRL HER RAMEN IN SEARCH OF THE MISSING EGG. Staff here is attentive and quick. The ramen is quite good and provides a good portion size. Broth is delicious as are the noodles and pork. Awesome sides too - try the fried tofu you wont regret it! My only issue was that a lot of normal additions (i.e. flavored egg and dried seaweed) cost extra and the cost per topping was a little steep in my opinion. However, aside from the slight budget strain, Id still recommend this place for a good bowl of ramen!

I wanted to substitute vegetables for the pork in one of the soups & I was told: we dont do that. I said, really? I was surprised as it was an inexpensive substitution. I ended up paying extra for the vegetables, even though I told them to hold the pork. The soup was delicious, I added the sesame garlic oil which was wonderful. So the food was good, but Im disappointed that this was my experience - very un-user friendly - esp as Im someone who does not eat pork.

This place is wonderful! I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen last time. The broth is delicious and the portions are generous. I personally prefer the outside air and atmosphere to the indoor seating area. This place is very popular so the indoor area gets very warm. Im also glad I no longer have to make my way up to Irvine for good ramen. P.s. you can order to go which not all Ramen restaurants offer so this is great for picking up dinner on the way home or lunch if you dont mind getting a little messy eating.

Food was delicious but when I came home I was mission my wallet.Called the restaurant and Moon Kim picked who answered the phone had already found the wallet.He promised to mail it and I offered to reimburse him which he declined.I was so happy to get the wallet back, which had my COVID vaccination card amongst a bunch of CC and Id, so I mailed him $40. Best ramen place Ive been to in South OC! We first came during the soft opening and have come back many times. The Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen is where its at!! And my wife likes the Matsunaomi Ramen. We also enjoy ordering the crispy potato croquettes. Keep doin what youre doin!

If you need a ramen fix this place will do it. The appetizers are very good. As far as the broth goes they have all the flavors, but missing depth and additional ingredients that are available at other ramen places. All that is available is pork belly and egg. Other ingredients add to the depth of flavor when added. Service was good and prices are in line with other ramen shops.

Im always excited trying new restaurants so I had high hopes coming in, especially since my brother-in-law told me this place came in recommended.I picked the Tonkotsu ramen with ($1) steamed vegetables, ($1) Kikurage and ($3) extra Chashu. I also made it into a combo to get the ($3) Gioza.I wanted to love it but I felt everything fell flat. Flavor is good but not amazing. If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. The Chashu is fried... and I didnt expect that. I prefer it cooked the normal way.The restaurant was getting busy right after we came in around 6:30 pm on a Saturday so service was adequate but they dont make you feel any more taken care than what youd expect. For example, if we needed water/tea refills, wed have to ask the server to come by. They never came by on their own to refill drinks.In short, the whole experience was above average but nothing wowed me. With Orange County having so many choices in restaurants, I expect more to give a 4-5 star review.If you love ramen, I would rather go to Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai in Costa Mesa. For similar price, they have great flavor, more attentive service and give larger sides/toppings.

My ramen pinenut broth was good though my husband thought his miso ramen was just ok.It was busy and customers had to wait outside in the cold at night to wait for a table.If they had heatlamps for outdoor seating and set aside a space with at least a few chairs indoors to receive people and wait for a table that would have been a big improvement.Customers were just told to wait outside rather than being greeted nicely.

Not saying its bad, its just a rather average bowl of ramen. Its a good place if youre already in town center with friends and craving noodles, but I wouldnt go out of my way for it.

Ordered the tonkatsu ramen with gyoza and overall enjoyed the food. The gyoza itself was nothing special but the ramen had a good taste and had good sized chashu. The price itself wasnt bad as well with 9-10 dollars on ramen this close to where I live is not bad at all. Overall would reccomend as it is one of the few ramen places I can walk and not have to drive all the way to Irvine or Costa Mesa.

Finally a ramen restaurant opened downstairs! ! Come on a Friday night, you wont be disappointed! I ordered yuzu ramen. The tonkotsu soup base is very thick and has a hint of grapefruit flavor. It’s a bit surprising after the first bite. I personally think it’s delicious without having to make it spicy at all. Very satisfied with the long-lost sugar-filled eggs! The real taste is when it enters the egg yolk. It’s the kind of thick noodles that I love, great!
