I got the spicy ramen and it was amazing!! The service was great and our server was so sweet.The place was very clean. The only thing that would make this place better would be better music. I wish the music would be something that matches the atmosphere and was a little calmer. Other than that it was amazing! I will definitely be back.

Its no Ramen nagi, but its get the job done. The broth for the ramen are decent. We got the spicy miso and black garlic and they both tasted good.Overall its a nice little restaurant that fulfills your cravings.

A friend brought me here for lunch a few weeks ago. The sushi and sashimi are fantastically fresh. I had albacore, blue fin, yellow tail, sweet shrimp, and green tea. Wonderful!I returned with my wife for dinner tonight and had some rolls and albacore sushi. The albacore was great. The rolls were good but many of their rolls come with finely shredded red onion. Good yes, great no but you can order without the onion.Not my #1 for rolls but excellent for fresh tender sushi and sashimi. Oh, and a hardy green tea.

First of all, I am very sorry and I want to sharing my experience. We did not enjoyed it at all.It was very horrible food. I ordered salmon sushi. It tasted very old! Not fresh. Ramen is not so great. I don’t like them putting the brown broth in it. I only liked the white broth. It’s very high in sodium and soy.Chow mein was not great. We stop eating. Waste of money. We spent $45 for Whole orders.We ordering new foods at another place.. we are very disappointed.

I adored it. My daughter (11) has started learning Japanese and spoke her knowledge with one of the workers there. It felt nice knowing that she is learning more and more things at such age! Also, the food was amazing, and I left you full and happy. The atmosphere is cozy and calm.

The service was excellent. Their outdoor dinner was also perfect with the lighting, heating lamps and fire pit. Their Chasu Fried Roce and Poki bowl was delicious. My only complaint was my Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen was filled with TOO much bean sprouts, carrots, and cabbage (I am not exaggerating). It took away from the flavor of the Ramen. I felt like I was eating a salad instead of ramen. I was very disappointed as my whole purpose of going there is to dine outdoor and eat hot delicious ramen.

I recently tried the ramen at this restaurant and found it to be quite tasty, especially considering the price of $14. I also ordered a California roll sushi for an additional $5, which was well-priced and delicious. The food was served promptly, and I didnt have to wait long. The service was excellent, and the staff provided good customer service. Overall, I had a positive experience at this restaurant.

My husband and I stopped in to get some dinner mid-week. The restaurant was pretty quiet but the food came out fairly quickly and the owners were attentive and lovely. The most memorable moment of the night however was the accidental Salt and Pepper Diner occurrence.The owners put a birthday song on over the restaurants sounds system for another table that was celebrating a birthday. The royalty free version of the song was cute but then it happened - no one changed to playlist back to regular music and more royalty free birthday songs were played. On the second song it was a slight eyebrow raise but we kept enjoying our meal. By the third song we started chuckling because it was pretty amusing. By song four we were laughing pretty hard. By the end of our meal we were basically laugh crying and honestly was one of the funniest things to witness in a while. It was magical.I will definitely be going back (the black garlic ramen was amazing) and praying that someone celebrates a birthday so I can relive the moment.

Last Sunday I tried the new Ichiban Sashimi Bowl with noodles and light sashimi sauce. The waitress helped me mix all together and it was fresh and delicious. I really recommend it!

Ichiban definitely aint no ichiban, if youve been to japan youll know what i mean. However, its not terrible. The staff was friendly and they still held to some of their japanese cultures customs. The ramen was tonkotsu and it tasted better as it cooled down. I recommend for the average american family to try because its pretty decent. If youre a weabu who loves japan and ramen, youll be dissapointed.

The chicken curry ramen was very delicious. Chicken tender, curry not too spicy (but I do have a high tolerance for spice FYI). The people were nice. Service was fast, so great to go on a break. I had their unagi too but forgot to take a picture. It was very delicious as well.

Dont come here for the ramen; come for the sides.I ordered the beef rib ramen. More sprouts than noodles. The beef slices were dry and tasted of freezer burn. The egg was cooked-through and solid in the middle, but still cold. The rib itself was tender and well-cooked, but there was penny-sized bone sliver as sharp as a cats claw that would have certainly hurt me— luckily, the broth was so weak it wasnt worth slurping down.Fried tofu was very well-prepared and served with a delicious sauce. I was envious of my neighbors sides as well.

The worst Tonkotsu Ive ever had 🍜.I ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen. Sounds amazing right? Nope! All you can taste is cheap, garlic powder, and TON of it.You cant tate anything else. My appetite was ruined from the first bite. The entire entrée went straight into the trash.Also my food was delivered WITHOUT plastic ware or napkins.My sushi 🍣 was delivered without chopsticks or soy sauce.After delivery fees, I spent $75 and couldnt enjoy any of it.

Been seeing this place on my commute. Tried it last night and it was great!Ordered the bonita Roll and Tonkotsu Ramen.The roll were fresh, and flavorful. The Tonkotsu was not bad either. Tasted nice and creamy. The pork was delicious.My only gripe was that although not buy on a saturday night, i had to flag the waitress down to take my order. But the food came out quickly.For 2 bowls or ramen and the 8piece roll i had spent about 42dollars. Kinda expensive. Would come back

Cold day and needed something hot and brothy for lunch. The spicy seafood ramen and takoyaki add on hit the spot on a Thursday around 11:45-noon. Come here before the lunch time rush hits, this place seems to be pretty popular for lunch because there was quite a few people waiting in queue for a seat at the bar or for a table.

Pretty mediocre joint. Everything our party ordered was just blah. The chicken curry rice bowl was the strangest I’ve ever seen. On the top was a pile of chopped vegetables as if from a frozen birdseye mix of corn, peas, green beans and carrots- not the most authentic Japanese thing I’ve seen. The actual chicken was hidden underneath and was a very small portion- the rest of the bowl was filler rice with Japanese curry sauce on the bottom.The rest of our orders were less bizarre, but equally as mediocre. Happened upon this little hidden gem today on a whim, and was totally pleasantly surprised. We went in just after lunchtime on a Saturday, so we missed the crowds, got seated right away, and our server was immediately attentive. They had our tempura and seaweed salad out in less than 10 minutes, and the rest of our meal was perfectly timed. The Chefs skill was apparent in the different flavors of the rolls we ordered, and everything was deliciously put together. Highly recommend the food. The owner/manager was also present and came over to check on us a couple of times, which is always a treat! Cant wait to bring back the whole family to try the ramen!

Walked in and no one even acknowledged me. There was no one in line in front of me so there was no excuse. I would have really appreciated an Ill be right with you. Instead I flagged down a server and said Id like to order to go. He pointed at a menu on a table in the corner and only said yea right there. I stated Im ready when you are! To the back of his head as he walked away with a bad pink hair dye job. Everyone avoided eye contact with me. Im not sure if hes the only one allowed to take orders but they definitely need to work on their customer service. Wasted half my lunch just standing there and being ignored. I ended up walking out. This place is getting into the swing of things! They had a rough start with service or lack thereof but theyre really coming together and I praise them for it! They could add more fresh fish variety to their menu since theres too many rolls on the menu that are mainly California Roll inside and they need consistency with their ramen in flavor & texture but I see them making progress and theyre the perfect restaurant we needed in that area, perfect for me and my co workers to get our fix.... also they have a great happy hour! Update May 2019. I decided I would try the online order. Ordered went in. Lady asks if I am here for a pickup. Yes. Wait 15 minutes, after waiting the estimated 15 minutes for the food to be prepared. I go up and ask her if my order is ready and she says the tablet powered down and my order wasn’t put it. Made the mistake of getting food here on XMAS, it was absolutely disorganized and painful. Next time please please have a better system so people arent waiting and their food gets cold because a single item was overlooked and takes 20 minutes to make. We were here for lunch two Saturdays ago on our way to the Columbia Employee Store. We ordered ramen from their special lunch menu which offered a variety for reasonable prices. I ordered ramen with tempura on the side. Their service was fast and the ramen was good. The tempura was freshly made and crunchy. Not a fan: Not great service or food. Cant speak to the quality of their sushi, but of what Ive tried its just meh.On my last lunch visit the waitress took our order, then 10 minutes later came back to the table to take our order a second time. We informed her that she took it about 10 minutes earlier. She looked confused but went about her business. 20 minutes later I asked why everyone else was eating but us... she then realized she never put in the order.She apologized and brought me one complimentary soda (there were 2 of us...perhaps my coworker and I were supposed to share it) I told her I dont really drink soda, and she offered no other remedy. They rushed our food, which was obvious and mostly undercooked. I sent back food that was not properly prepared and ate as much of my meal that I could (now rushed to get back to the office). She brought me the bill with a charge for returned food AND FOR THE COMPLIMENTARY SODA.The remedy of the manager was to remove the charge for the soda (gee, thx) and give me 20% discount...even though the uncooked food I returned remained on the bill. The discount mostly covered the difference, so I paid but left quite dissatisfied. Not sure I left a tip and figured I wouldnt likely be back.They now offer 20-30% off happy hour nearly all of their business hours, except on wine, beer or saki... so, Im not certain what actually is on the happy hour special.

My family loves this place. The service is a little slow at times but the food is delicious every time we ordered and it’s very reasonably priced for the area. Basic ramen is neutral but the Garlic flavor ramen has a lot more flavor to it -my personal favorite:)I also like all of their sushi rolls

We started coming to this restaurant since the day they opened. It is the best ramen place in the Vista area in our opinion. It is very delicious, the portions are generous, the restaurant is clean, and the service is usually good.The only reason I cant give it a full five stars, is because of their menu change. They used to have delicious pork belly appetizers, and build your own ramen that was very convenient, and you could have side order of chasu pork. That menu made them stand out from all the generic Japanese restaurants in Vista.I really miss that pork belly.

I ordered yellow tail cheek and salmon teriyaki plate. The yellow tail cheek I got was fat! Cooked perfectly. The salmon on the other hand, was little overcooked. The meat was hard and dry. I will not order that again. I will order something different next time.

To go orders are a huge problem for this place.You drive 20 min to get there for a phone in order, and you have to still wait another 30 min for order to be ready or handed to you by of the so-called staff members. When busy, they all turn in to deers caught in a headlight.A lot of walking around in circles but not too much getting accomplished... How about investing in a hostess for a couple of hours a day to close out your checks that you seem to be having such a hard time with and take care of these damn to go orders? Is that so hard?

The chicken we got yesterday almost killed my grandma. She collapsed and was ill with food poisoning all day yesterday. Sushi is midocre. Beware of the chicken. The back of the house may need some tlc. Scary. Will not return ever. Ye be warned.
