This was an extreme disappointment and total waste of money. As a visitor from the East Coast, its difficult for us to understand restaurants without air conditioning - and it gets pretty warm in there from the hibachi. Additionally, the seafood is much different on the West Coast than the East Coast (to each their own). West Coast salmon is much different than Atlantic salmon, and much saltier. We dined here the last week of June 2023 and each ordered from the teppanyaki menu, but chose to sit in a booth as opposed to sitting at the grills.He ordered slamon and mahi manhi and salmon. The salmon in my opinion wasnt bad, because I like West Coast salmon - it was flaky but very salty. The mahi mahi was an undesired mystery. I ordered chicken and steak. The chicken I had had the texture of rubber, and the steak was cooked as medium well, nearly well-done. I had asked for medium. The rice and noodles also have no flavor. On the bright side, the spring rolls and miso soup were not bad.Had we not been so hungry, I would have had my steak re-made to medium. The food was not close to being a value for the money and I dont recommend this place.

This is an excellent dining experience. The atmosphere is beautiful. The service is incredible, fast and very nice. The food is delicious. My husband and I chose the combo set dinners. I really love their teriyaki salmon and sushi. My husband loves the tempura.

OMG!. While we were waiting for a table inside the restaurant a rat ran across our feet. Disgusting!!! We told the manager and he said dont worry the rat traps will catch him. Yuck! If I could give them a zero I would.

We love Ichibiri!. It’s great for dinner parties or just a super yummy dinner. The chefs are always so much fun! I personally love their salad dressing! I could drink it haha. Their filet mignon Tepan meal is fabulous! Great for adults and kids!

Amazing Food, Great Portions and Such A Fun Environment!! This was our 1st time here and we will be back for sure. Such a cool and fun place to eat and honestly the food was so good!! The staff was so friendly and really made it a wonderful experience. Loved that they cook your food in front of you & customize it exactly how you like it, All while making it an entertaining experience.

This place is so delicious and the go to for the Teppan grilled show, always. Filet mignon and shrimp was excellent. Teriyaki chicken and shrimp just as tasty. If youre in the area and looking for delicious Japanese dining, try them out. You will not be disappointed.Eating here again for the umpteenth time. Love this place.

Second time here. Great place if you want thus type of restaurant. Love the fact they add noodles 🍜 to the order. First timeninhad chicken and this time around the filet mignon. I liked the teriyaki chicken best, myself.

Used to come here for years but the last 2 times I have been here there was multiple dirty dishes, to find out they dont even use a dishwashing machine. this last visit there was hair in my sushi. They were unapologetic and offered nothing as far as makining us feel better about the situation. Very sad I will NEVER visit a resuraunt I once loved.I was soo groosed out the second time I lost my appetite. Patrons beware. Inspect your dishes and food.

So, 50 minute wait for a Monday night take out order? $14.00 for soup that I could have bought at the market for 49 cents. The beef, may have beef in a previous, but not anymore. Im sure this flies with hungry tourists, but not us locals. Adios.

My wife and I have not been to Ichibiri in years. My wife ordered halibut and salmon combo. I ordered halibut and lobster combo. The halibut was way over cooked I couldn’t eat it. The lobster was way over cooked as well. We are not the kind of people to make a. Scene in a restaurant. We will never return.

Very busy but they were able to accommodate us. The service was great and the cook was very personable and had us laughing the whole time. The food was delicious. California roll had a little too much Mayo or something but I think that was just a personal issue. Fried was was great, soup was great, steak and chicken were great and shrimp too! We have already been back a second time!

Went to this restaurant at 8:45pm on a Wednesday night with a family of 4 on vacation and they didn’t turn us away! Pom was so nice, and we got dinner with a show in 45 mins…boom! Get it done, especially with kids. Food and service was excellent. Good job Ichibiri!

Ordered the steak and tempura mix for dinner and got food poisoning from the tempura (probably the shrimp). Had to throw a $35 plate away and spent two days in the hospital with severe vomiting. Maybe a dirty kitchen or super old oil was used to make the tempura.

5 Stars all the way. Been eating here since I was a kid. 40+ years have past. I made reservations for Fri night and they were very kind when half of my party was 30 mins late. Food was great, as was the service. Chef was wonderful with many different dishes. Salmon and the filet were the best!

Great prices for the location. Went in around 830 on a Saturday and felt a little rushed. Chef came out and cooked but didnt do any show at all. Filet was delicious. Fried rice was good but lacking in taste. Chicken was also a little bland. Drink was strong. Overall good food for the money.

We had a Teppan experience (the grilling show at your table).The food was delicious. The coock was nice. The reason for my 4 star is the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. It was a run down place. The yellow curtains between the kitchen and main room was very dirty. There were spider webs in the hood above our table. The hood above our table was not working properly so all the smokes were directed to our faces. I could not stop thinking about how bad the kitchen cleanliness would be if the front is like this.

This place never fails to make my family and I happy. I took my grandparents who only spoke Spanish and they were accommodating. They had a chef who was bilingual. He made everyone laugh and the food was spectacular. Fried rice with sesame seeds, steak medium rare and teriyaki chicken with yakisoba are my favorite items on the menu. Its always a pleasure coming and exceptionally clean. The waitress made sure to check our drinks and kept up with my party of 6. Love this resturant I recommend coming.

Noodles are bland, fried rice is meh, food tasted like the grill needed to be cleaned. Our server came twice, everyone wanted more beers but she never came back. Make sure you schedule the reservation 30 minutes before you want to sit, oh by the way it’ll take 16 minutes for the waiter to come get your drink order

Was having a good time until the tepan chef messed up my vegetarian order and acted like I didn’t tell him what I wanted. He then proceeded to cook my order WITH the meat he was cooking, cross contaminating my entire plate of food. They didn’t offer to discount the meal or anything. Beyond disappointed with this place. Never going back.

We love Japanese food, eat it often and just about everywhere we have been our entire lives. Dined here for a family occasion. Started off with an unwelcoming, expressionless elder gentleman host that said nothing upon entering and requesting dinner seating...maybe he was filling in for the actual host. Dinner service was average. Pretty hard to not get this type of food right. Not the freshest and probably the blandest we ever had. Will not return nor recommend to others.

Teppanyaki is awesome here. I would eat this delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I could afford it! The beef, chicken, steak, and the fish all taste amazing. The egg fried rice is perfect! The miso soup is excellent.

The teppan dine-in experience is fantastic. Definitely my favorite in Southern California. Ichibiri would get 5 stars if the sushi bar gave you more for what you pay. Nothing wrong with the quality, but you just dont get much when you order rolls or sashimi.

The sushi chef wiped his sushi knife, cleaned the counter, and wiped his fingers with the same dirty rag throughout our entire sushi experience. we only hope that the bacteria in the rag wasnt ecoli or salmonella. we gave them a 25% off coupon after our wonderful experience and we were told it was only for dinner (not specified on the coupon). making up rules after you sit down to eat is not a great experience. eat here at your own risk!

As a vegetarian with a garlic and onion intolerance, it isnt easy eating out, but Ichibiri was absolutely amazing in accommodating my intolerance! While the service on our drinks was a bit slow and not great, our entertainment and food get this place a five star. Will be going back in the future.
