iCHiNA in Santa Clara

We came in to celebrate a friends birthday, and we were really satisfied with the food and the service. We ordered the stir fried string beans, steamed sticky rice, wagyu fried rice, South East Asian seafood noodles and the pork and shrimp dumplings. The server was really patient with our questions and requests and was really nice. They also brought our friend a creme brûlée with a happy birthday card that was decorated in the prettiest way! Definitely made her day! The creme brûlée was also delish!The restaurant was really, really clean! The decor, the choice of china and everything were charming. The whole vibe was simple elegance. Loved the food and the service! Will definitely come back again.

I came here with a friend to have dinner and I was surprised by the food, it was delicious! The wagyu fried rice was excellent, and the roasted duck and pumpkin dumplings were very good. My friend ordered Thai crispy chicken and it was good as well, I just dont really eat spicy food so I dont have an accurate review of the dish. The service was great too, but we were the only ones in the restaurant downstairs so that could have something to do with the service. The only thing I didnt like was the water smelled gross. I had a beer and she had a spritzer of some kind that she said was too sweet. Overall, it was a good experience and Ill be back sometime in the future.

Beautiful setting and food presentation but less than stellar service and flavor. Really wanted to like this place: the place is beautiful and the aromas are enticing. We sampled a variety of dishes but found most of them bland and unmemorable. Even the tea was tasteless although beautifully presented. We also had told the server that we would just order a couple sampler dishes to start and then order more of what we liked best. However, it took a long time for the server to check back with us for our follow up order. Dont think Ill be back.

Food is delicious and the place is gorgeously decorated! While the restaurant was quite empty we struggled to find someone to take our order but we were so glad once we finally did.We had the Sir fried black pepper beef tenderloin, Wagyu fried rice and the crispy dim sum collection, heres my take on them:The beef tenderloin was deliciously crispy. Also, quite different than the Wagyu rice (we were worried it was too much beef).The Wagyu rice was really tasty! Even tho we liked it very much we couldnt finish it and ended up taking it home :)The dumpling collection is a 6 piece set of 2 different kinds of dumplings. My personal favorite was the fish one, super light and crispy! The others were good as well.In general, food was great but the portions (except for the rice) were a little small for the price.

Great food and service are always a plus however the service at iCHiNA went downhill during our tea time experience.To be honest and fair, our main waiter was fantastic. I would give 5 stars if we had him the entire time. Very friendly, funny and knowledgeable when we asked questions about particular dishes. Half way into our meal he disappeared and the other waiter started to help out (who was the main waiter for 3 other tables) We kind of felt stranded on an island always asking for help and having to wave him down for water. He also seemed irritated to help us. I know his job title is waiter and not photographer but he was clearly irritated when we asked for a photo to capture the birthday celebrants day. He only took 1 and handed the phone back really fast.Food is great and delicious. Everything we ate was consumed. The only thing I would have passed on is the scones. They were dry to my liking.Lastly, wish we were given the option to have both savory and sweet dishes out at the same time. It was not explained to us just brought savory first and then sweet. Other tables were given the option. So if you order tea and dim sum, ask for both at the same time… your IG page / reel will thank me later :)

Service was great. Wish the happy hour menu had more vegetarian options. the cucumber salad slapped. Absolutely delicious. Love the decor and vibe of this spot.

We were at Valley Fair for a quick errand and decided to come to iChina (Bar area) for a quick bite. We throughly had a wonderful time. We ordered In the Clouds and Manhattan cocktails along with their Har Gow, Scallop Siu Mai, Wok Fried Rice Rolls, Steamed Sticky Rice. All the dishes were delightful, fun ambience, great service and would definitely dine here again.

It was the first time we went there, our Server was considerate and asked if we had any food allergies. decor & atmosphere were good as well. The food was delicious, Only the small eats are really small in relation to their prices.

The place is beautiful and I loved all their dishware. Staff was also friendly but service did feel a bit slow. We ordered the tasting menu, and we were a big group (11) but even then I felt like dishes took too long between courses. Food was ok, I think they use nicer ingredientes like crab or scallops to justify the price but nothing felt spectacular, besides perhaps the dessert which I really enjoyed. Came here for a work dinner so I didn’t pay out of pocket and don’t mind but not sure I would be willing to pay for the experience myself.

This place is nicely decorated. I love the art deco emerald green walls and gold accent. The food presentation is on point, especially with the dessert tower. With everything nice, expect the price to match the high end vibe.
