Ikedas in Auburn

You may have noticed this place as always being busy as you drive up Highway 80 to Truckee. Ikedas is a market that sells fresh produce, meats, and other food items, as well as a deli and bakery. They are known for their handmade fruit pies. they have a nice gourmet section with a great wine selection. They also make the best burger that are worth the wait! You cant go wrong here.

Such a fun down home shop. Great food, produce, pies, breads.... its like stepping back in time.

Amazing find!! Busy ..but everyone is respectful and tour able to enjoy the experience. Great customer service... quality of food 👌.. the restaurant again busy they move people quickly. Nice outdoor vibe to sit and enjoy your food and bring your dogs!!

OMG if you haven’t had pie here you are missing out. They are famous for all kinds of homemade pies. Lots and lots of pie to choose from. If you want a meal, they can hook youup as well. Delicious burgers and pot pies and all the things for a decent lunch or dinner. Breakfast burritos are incredibly huge and fantastic!

Pies great. Cookies great. There are good fresh fruits, vegetables and baked goods. Cashiers great. Pricing-- well.... Due to many tourists etc the dining areas are usually filthy and food takes a long time.

Huge fan of Ikeda’s (5 stars) but this 1-star review is specifically for the peach pie. First time trying peach and way too much gelatin! Too gooey goopy jiggly jello-ey. What the heck Ikeda’s?

This family-owned and operated burger joint is a local favorite in Auburn and for good reason. Their burgers are simply delicious, and their fries and milkshakes are the perfect complement. In addition to their burgers, Ikedas also offers a variety of other menu items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot dogs. While the pies are a bit pricey, they are definitely worth splurging on, as they are the main reason many people keep coming back to Ikedas. The atmosphere at the restaurant is casual and friendly, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or grab a quick meal. Whether youre a local or a visitor to the area, Ikedas is a must-visit spot in Auburn that you wont want to miss.

Ikedas is a great place to go for specialty food products or for lunch on a sunny day. The food is high quality, and the service is excellent. The reason I give Ikedas four rather than five stars is that the prices a REALLY high. It seems they are catering primarily to well-heeled Bay Area residents traveling to Lake Tahoe. Ten years ago, Id go to Ikedas about twice a month; now I go about twice a year to get pies for special occasions.

The pies and cobbler are so good here! My favorites are the banana cream pie and cherry pie, but I recently had the cherry cobbler and I think thats my new all time favorite. I like the sweetness and texture of the cobbler topping and look forward to trying the other flavors. The chicken pot pie is kept hot in a warmer and is a great option if you dont have time to wait for your order. It is still very fresh and piping hot. There is tons of white meat chicken and fresh veggies but Im not the biggest fan of white meat so next time I would try the beef version. The crust is great. Very buttery and flaky. All the burgers are really excellent and the dungeness crab sandwich is very good. Three onion rings are also very nicely done.

What a find! Been here a long time and we finally stopped in for burgers and fries. The burgers were great, I had the jalapeño burger with bacon. There was a whole selection of marinated meats, fresh fruit, pies, top notch wine and more!!! Very friendly staff too. Will be coming back!!
