Ive really tried to give this sandwich shop a chance, but it almost always disappoints. Orders take forever, the place seems barely open, and the food is only good on rare occasion. I got onion rings the last time I went, and what I got was awful, like you took frozen onion rings made to be fried, and just lightly toasted them. They were soggy and gross, and I would not have ordered them if I knew what I was getting. Its a shame, especially because the staff seem cool and polite, but its just poorly managed, it often seems that no one knows what they are doing, or they just werent trained well. Service takes forever, the prices are going up, and the sandwiches are okay at best. Id recommend almost any other sandwich shop in Chico, there are so many local joints that provide a much better experience than Ikes ever has. If you care about love and sandwiches, go support them instead!

What I ended up eating was good, but they were out of a number of sandwich ingredients (bacon, provolone, cranberry, slaw, and one or two other things) and their soda machine was down. Im sure that the first person that tried to take our order was new, either that or incompetent, as we placed our orders (there were 4 of us) before it being noted that each of the sandwiches wed ordered included an item that they were out of. He never said anything, we realized it. They brought out another employee to rectify the situation (cancel our original order and place an all new one).The best part of the experience was that they offer Dutch Crunch bread. They are one of the only sandwich shops in Chico that offer it.

One of my favorite sandwich shops, I first tried Ikes in the Baby Area and I was ecstatic when they open up a Chico location. Ikes has all the toppings you can imagine as well as vegetarian and vegan options!! Very delicious, juicy and HUGE sandwiches. Please stop by and try it out, I promose you will start to crave it too

Ordered online and my entire sandwich was wrong. Missing toppings I requested, parts of the sandwich that belonged and multiple missing ingredients. Very disappointed because out of the last 4 times I have gotten a sandwich here. 75% of the time my food is incorrect. Lack of attention or care? Unsure.

BEWARE!! This place serves RAW chicken. I was halfway through my sandwich when I realized the entire chicken breast was raw. My friend ordered the chicken tenders and those were raw as well. When we mentioned to the employees that the chicken was raw they laughed and said “oh no we’ve served these breast’s to multiple customers today” then proceeded to cut every chicken breast open to find that they were RAW. Keep an eye out for a lawsuit Ike’s.

I thought ordering a sandwich would be a quick endeavour but we ended up waiting a half hour for our food and the orders were all wrong.

Great food, but you can have up to a 45 minute Wait time even if you order online.

I want to eat here because I love Ikes sandwiches, my friend and I even braved a stormy day to go because it said they were open online, and she ended up crashing and then Ikes wasnt even open in the end! And we couldnt have called to check because their phone system is psycho. For the love of god, what are the hours and will they ever be consistent?! Thank you and good luck to all who try to patron.

Honestly used to love this place. The sandwiches are still decent (not as good as they once were), but the incompetence of the employees is out of control. Placed an online order for 3 sandwiches, picked them up and got home to find they were completely wrong. Yes they were busy, but when I tried calling to give a heads up that wed be coming back for the right order, you have to know the extension or a persons name just to be able to talk to a human. Pressed 1 and there was still no answer, but we did get a call back from someone that wasnt actually in the store, but confirmed my order and said they would pass the info along to make the correct order. I drove all the way back downtown, wait about and pick up my correct order. I checked in the car this time before leaving for home to be certain and 2 of the 3 sandwiches were still completely wrong. They fixed one, but not the other 2. For reference we had ordered a Hunter Pence (turkey, bacon, avo with extra cheese the first time there was no bacon or avo) on French, a turkey, ham and salami on French, and a kids turkey on wheat...after the second pickup, the Hunter Pence was correct and we got a ham on wheat and a chicken with barbecue sauce on white. No idea where the disconnect happened but its just a big bummer when you spend $40 and end up with food that wont be eaten. Wont be making a return visit, unfortunately.

The food is good but the service is slow. They charged for sauce for my sides when they shouldve been free. Then they forgot to include the sauce. The sides are small for the price. It took over a half an hour to get food and there was only one person ahead of me. I wont be going back.
