Ike’s is my favorite sandwich shop! They have a sandwich for every mood youre in hehe- This is one of my go to spots for a quick and cheap ($8 - $13) but super filling meal. Personally I’m not a big fan of sandwiches but Ike’s converts me to the biggest sandwich lover every time I go!During peak hours (lunch/dinner time) I would definitely suggest trying calling beforehand so that your order is ready when you arrive. They do have a lot of people calling in so often times it’s hard to get a hold of them. They do have an app which I haven’t tried but I heard that during the holidays they had some special menu items available on the app. Even if you go in person to order, they’re pretty fast, ~10 minute wait for them to prepare your sandwich.My favorite sandwiches are: Matt Cain (a deli meat sandwich), [Your Sorority or Frat] (fried chicken!!), and The Damon Bruce (a hefty steak sandwich). There are so many unique and fun sandwiches on the menu!

Ive been to this location for a year, working in the area. Been here once since they revamped the store. Its the same as before.The food is okay and above average in some cases, would be my go to spot for sandwiches at a reasonable price in Palo Alto. However, the service is lackluster to barren. There usually 2 or 3 people working there, one of which seems like a manager and the two others usually a seasonal teen or young adult. The orders can take a long time as a result and they dont have a system to handout sandwiches in a timely manner.For instance, I like to order in advance on the phone. Whenever I come there, my order is usually ready but they make no effort to show it. Id keep looking at their done sandwich shelf, seeing others get their orders first, while mine is on a hidden shelf. Because theres little staff, its hard for me to ask for that shelf. The last time I tried walking to the shelf, I got yelled at and didnt eat there for a few months. I see nothing much has changed while I waited an additional 20min in the store for my cold order while there is a wave of bodies walking in, ordering, and getting theirs first.Laslty, the place is kinda filthy. I locked eyes with one of the seasonal young adults that dropped sliced deli meats on the floor, picked it up and used it for a sandwich. The teen in the front for the orders will drop online receipts from online orders, so their orders might be missed as a result.All in all, its an Ikes, its got the decent selection and ingredients, just really held back from the staff. YMMV, this is my experience from a somewhat patient person whos ordered from a multitude of online food apps.

I would give no stars if i could. Drove across town to get a sandwich. Arrived at 1030. Sign said they opened at 10. Saw workers outside they tried to ignore me. Kept knocking. Lady finally came over and said they are to busy filling orders for catering and cant make me a sandwich. Thanks Amazon and tech companies. Now i cant even get a decent sandwich.

Good experience here! One star off because I went twice during their “open” hours and they were closed, but when I did finally get a sandwich it was great! Friendly service and the sandwich came out fast - was hot and fresh. Might ask for lighter sauce next time as it was very saucy. Loved the caramel apple pop!

They have so many varieties of sandwiches, I dont know how you couldnt find one you loved. Theyre consistently fantastic and craveable, Im so glad they opened one in Palo Alto! Sorry for the low quality photo, taken after eating half of my menage a trois sandwich (SO GOOD)

Talk about outstanding client care. On a Sunday morning, my husband and I went there to get our sons favorite sandwich. We were taken aback when the store closed about an hour after it was supposed to. The stores shipment of bread and lettuce had not yet arrived, the manager of the establishment revealed, and he was scrambling to make things right. He requested that we wait for five minutes while he attempted to resolve the situation. Ikes is worth the wait, we assured him, and wow, was it true! This man set everything up for us, provided an extra bag of chips, and expressed gratitude for our support. Excellent folks and cuisine.

Loved this place till recently. Went there a few days ago. New staff were looking up recipes on their phones.My favorite sandwich was no fun. Sauce dripping out. Hardly any cream cheese, soggy lettuce. I could go on. Who ever owns it needs to get back in and care a little. 12-15$ for a sandwich deserves better quality.

Palo alto location.Walked 4 blocks in the rain to find the location closed but people were inside.I knocked and the lovely lady opened and told me she was closed due to training new staff. I Sadly was walking away when she called me back and told me if it was OK that I might not get a perfect sandwich she would take care of me!! Amazing service.I appreciate the gesture so much.

I went on my lunch break to get a sandwich and the lady was nice who took my order but the place did look pretty dirty inside and the sander they gave me was very skimp, I payed over 21$ to get a sandwich worth 8 or 9$, maybe because I didn’t tip they did that on purpose, also the meat quality was terrible ( steak), it resembled meat you get at Taco Bell. I should give it a one star but the lady was very polite. I will never go to this Ike’s again.

I ordered the meatless meatball sandwich. It was dry. Barely any sauce and no flavor. I watched 4 meatballs just sitting on the counter behind them and had the vibe that those were going to be mine. Very unimpressed and threw sandwich away after 3 bites. I wont be returning.

Talk about amazing customer service. My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday morning to pick up our son’s favorite sandwich. We were surprised that the shop was closed nearly an hour after it was supposed to have opened. The store manager explained that the store had not received its shipment of bread or lettuce and he was urgently trying to rectify the situation. He asked us if we could wait ten minutes while he tried to sort things out. We told him Ike’s is worth the wait and boy, was it! This gentleman prepared everything for us, threw in an extra bag of chips, thanked us for our loyalty…Great people, great food.

Great sandwiches, if they’re open. Someone keeps editing Google Maps to say the restaurant is open until 7PM. I get excited that I can have Ikes for dinner. Then you get to the location and theyre always closed. The sign on the door says 4PM. So I update Googles info to reflect reality and then someone changes it back to what they *wish* it would be.

I want to give this a five star. I really do. First, the flavor combinations and sauce are consistently killer. Like I’m thinking that is what has carried them. BUT, the bread is so thick, and they don’t serve nearly enough meat to make the sandwich feel more than a lot if bread. Add a hefty price tag and I’m left with a 3 star. Which feels sad because…that sauce is killer!

Really love the food here, but they do a horrible job at handling online orders. Today, I waited in line for about 10 minutes to get my online order, even though I saw it sitting on the table with my name on it - and I wasnt the only one. The cashier shouldnt be taking new orders when a bunch of peoples orders are ready and they are standing outside waiting. Really bad customer experience.Management needs to find a better system - other restaurants just place the orders on a table and allow the customers to grab their own.

Die hard Ike’s fan. As everyone else has said, their vegan options are amazing. My favorite is the James and the Giant Peach. This particular location does take a long time. Expect about 10-15 minutes wait, even when you’re the only one there.

Today I got the Madison bumgarner with Dutch crunch and it came out to around $14-$15. The sandwich seemed big but thats because the bread was big with very little meat.Heres what kills it for me: The day before, I went to sprout Cafe and for $11-$12 I got a steak sandwich, which had a chimichurri sauce, was loaded with freshly cooked tri-tip meat, was very delicious, and came with a quality salad.I used to like Ikes, but after this experience my perspective has changed -- Its just overpriced hype. I left feeling like I just ate a load of bread with sauce.

But the hours on the website dont match the actual hours (I have asked in person and they open 11:30 and close at 4, which would have been very useful to know before I walk all the way there.)Their oven has also been broken for at least an entire month now so its cold sandwiches only. Ill update this if they ever get their act together but Ive seen no improvements since early September.

I ordered a lindsanity and while waiting I watched them make it. Not even 1/4 of an avocado was put on the nearly $16 sandwich (with a tip). I really think that if the sandwich is going to cost that much, you should feel like you payed for what you got. However, today I really did not.

One of the better Ikes sandwiches Ive had. I always get the Hugh Hefner. My face usually feels a bit tingly after eating at any Ikes. I think they use canola oil which is usually processed with and containers trace amounts of hexane, a nerve agent.

Ordering fron here using uber, dash, or post is a waist of time, if you order multiple sandwich, they will only do 1 if the diver dose not show them the order- you are only getting 1And even then if you want anything added or taken out. Thats not happening, Ive tryed many time to give PA ikes benefit of the dought but just seems like the just dont care, pay attention to, or cant handle app orders.

A place that clearly shows why bread is the most important. The contents are not much different from Korea. The bread is really delicious. A similar feeling can be felt at Subway. There is a small standing area where you can eat in the store. Giving candy is fun
