Ikes Love & Sandwiches in Walnut Creek

I got the cheesesteak sandwich. Ordered online. Done in a reasonable amount of time. Took it home to go so I didn’t know what to expect but it was soo good ! Not too much bread, plenty of flavor. They even included two caramel apple pops! Only took away a star because they forgot my extra sauce which is on the receipt.Update: Went back for round 2 today ! Did a phone order this time so I could ask for a recommendation.The backstabber sandwich was phenomenal. Also tried dutch bread for the first time which was also really good (kind of sweet), I wouldn’t recommend it for every sandwich. Sandwich 5/5 Customer service 3/5 overall still 5 stars for me 👍🏾. Would definitely recommend.

It was good place for quick bite, I love the sandwiches I also see there are good vegetarian options such as Meatless Mike. They usually take 10ish minutes to make the sandwiches so if you are in a hurry I will recommend ordering ahead. Good service, definitely would love to come back.

Pretty innovative and tasty sandwiches. But painfully slow order and pick-up. You can order online and youll still be stuck in line for 20 minutes or more. If you have time to kill, this is your sandwich shop...

I visited a couple days ago after not being in an Ikes for over 5 years because I was living abroad. I was so happy to know that the sandwiches are still as tasty and excellent quality as always. Some of the local eateries have noticeably decreased in quality since I was last in WC, but not Ikes!!One thing I love about Ikes is theyve always (or ever since Ive been going atleast) offered loads of vegan choices!You can veganize almost any menu item because they carry vegan meats and vegan cheese. Also there are several amazing Signature Vegan Sandwiches.We recently ordered The Vegan Pilgrim -- Thanksgiving on a sandwich! And The Vegan Handsome Owl -- awesome if you like Teriyaki chickin and wasabi mayo!Extremely vegan-friendly for sure, they make it really easy for us! So much more variety here, not just salad on bread which is the typical vegan option at many places!Those Voo Doo crisps are something else too-- wow!LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!

Ordered a Matt Cain on Dutch crunch as usual. my girlfriend wants to build her own with roast beef but the employee says theyre out. She orders turkey instead. I ask what that means for my Matt Cain because it has roast beef, and I was told they would use extra turkey and salami. We get the food home and I open up the sandwich, not only is there no extra meat, there was hardly any turkey and salami! worst experience at Ikes Ive ever had. I will not be returning.

I have a dairy allergy and had asked for no cheese but still received cheese unfortunately! I had also added bacon to my sandwich and there was none. The other sandwiches were according to my order and it was still yummy!

Big meaty sandwiches. Big menu on the wall left side as you walk in. Speak loud enough so that your order is taken correctly. Friendly staff, limited seating. Average price is $10. French fries are also available as a side as well as other “BFF sides”. Gave 4 stars because of the size. Must have bread recommendation is “Dutch Crunch”.Little Luca has bigger sandwiches for the same price near San Francisco Airport exit.

My son ordered a CYO sandwich with Turkey and cheese only. They charged him $15. The same sandwich with a name on it was $11.95 When I asked after I paid what the difference was, they said nothing, just the price. You have to order it correctly. 🙄 I will correctly order from a different sandwich shop since they did not want to correct it when I gave them the chance. I only give businesses one chance to do it right or correct the error. After that, they don’t deserve my future business.

Wow, how the mighty have fallen. Through the years? I have had a lot of Ikes and always looked forward to the next. Then... Love ended.Like many other opportunistic entrepreneurs who are raising their prices to take advantage of the profit-taking era we currently find ourselves? You decided that you needed a raise (Take some Profits). Your company is driving up inflation with the other profit-takers. Okay... you raised your prices... we sucked-it-up...Then?You weenied out your sandwiches. Big, hearty sandwiches so big that you could eat half and save the other half for later...The bread stayed the same, the guts of the sandwich were decimated. Your sandwiches are pale reminders of their former glory.I bragged so much to my girlfriend about how great Ikes is and what a great value it is (although, a bit pricey). She FINALLY ordered her FIRST Ikes. She hated it. Too much money for too little sandwich. I told her that she should have tried it a year ago. I also informed her that I havent bought from Ikes in a couple months now.Did Ike lose his Love for his customers? I havent been back.All good things must end.

First time at ikes, loved the Matt Cain sub the manager ( gali) recommended will be coming back again for sure
