I cannot believe the kind of experience I had at Ike’s Sandwiches when we tried to get quick dinner sandwiches at the Hayward store. The food quality is nothing like any of the other Ike’s stores I’ve been to. We ordered The Sometimes I’m a Vegetarian and The Gladiator Sandwiches. The pesto sauce in both the sauces just tasted stale. What’s worse is that the Gladiator came with eggplant- which was raw through and through, and the breading was barely cooked and tasted only of oil. It was practically unpalatable. I would never never recommend this store to anyone who cares about their health.

I realized the last time i came to THIS location was a year ago and now i remember why... Either the people who make the sandwiches have absolutely NO IDEA what other Ikes locations sandwiches look like OR the owner tells them to make a $13 sandwich look like this?!? Either way... 6 people on staff today. All making catering orders. Not one of them available for walk ins. An hour wait I was told. I just walked out. Great job!9/11 order a Super Mario add chicken strips, no ikes sauce, no veggies. Get back to my office... no meatballs. Just chicken and cheese sticks. Every other time I visit this location, Im turned away like above, or my order is wrong.

Sandwiches at Ike’s are always good. But the sandwiches aren’t that big and they are pricey. This Ike’s just opened as of this posting so lines are still long and we had to wait 30 minutes for our sandwich. The space isn’t very big so it can get crowded. There are only about 8ish small tables and not a lot of space to wait in line. I’m sure the lines will die down significantly after a few months.It’s in the same plaza as the Starbucks right next to the Costco gas station. Plenty of parking available in the lot so no worries on that end.Overall, it’s great to see an Ike’s in Hayward. We need more solid place like this to eat!

The food here is amazing I got the their Menage a trois. Really good and spicy. The only one thing I dislike is not enough meat but work the food. The wait is a little crazy. But, worth it. Not much seating so watch out there. Overall good experience, food, and staff

The food is pretty good, but for a sandwich shop which should be a very quick grab and go, it could take 20+ minutes to actually get your sandwich since they always seemed slammed with orders, so be prepared for a long wait

I enjoyed the sandwich. Only thing is that the sandwich I ordered (the #1), if I recall correctly, was listed as $9 on the menu (printed on the wall) but than I was charged $11.75 plus tax. I asked the employee handling my transaction, and he simply stated that the prices on the wall are different than what they are in the computer. Ok. When I got home I found a piece of candy in the bag with the sandwich, so not sure if they always include that but I dont eat that sort of thing. I appreciate the charm of this place but I do wish that there wasnt a 25% increase in price from what is printed on the menu and what I am being charged.

Love this spot for delicious and inventive sandwiches and combos. I am impressed with the large list of Vegan options and fantastic toppings/add-ons. If you have a chance, I recommend The Pilgrim sandwich. Its utterly scrumptious no matter the time of year. And, they are the only chain I know of that serves Agave Vanilla soda on tap. Its SO good. I cant praise Ikes highly enough. Theyre the Best!

Groups of friends were going for beach outing and ordered sandwiches from Hayward location. Order ID: 56169, 56155, 51662. All orders had dirty sauce on sauce and some orders has extra sauce. While picking up I asked about sauce and was told it’s inside the bag. Did not check the bag as it was packed. Big mistakes. Non of the bags had any sauce inside. It was very disappointing as we like ordering sandwiches from there due to their sauce.Please check the bag before before you leave the place.

The online app wasnt working so my order was not ready when I arrived.Place my order with the cashier and only one sandwich was made correctly out of three.The tuna was flavorless. Love the sandwiches!! Ordering on the app is easy and my food is always ready on time! Elvis Keith is my go to for sure. The only thing I would like to see are more options available on the app or perhaps rotating the available sandwiches. Though Im not sure if I called or went in if I could customize or perhaps order a sandwich that is available at other locations.....Bring back the Pioneer or the Going Home for Thanksgiving :)Overall - Love the food here and go here probably once a week and need to check out available options and perhaps go off menu.

Worked here previously & let me just say management is horrible, workers in the back don’t wear hairnets simply because “they are in the back” the place is ran by a bunch of teens, who don’t change gloves too often, and RUSH while making sandwiches which explains why they look the way they do. Workers smoke in the freezer where food is stored. Just overall they have no consideration for customers. After working here, I WOULD NOT eat at this location.

I usually love Ikes, but this location wasnt up to par. Sandwhich was kinda dry, and the one I ordered is suppose to be very saucy. I said my order but I suppose they misheard me, because I asked for the works and did not get an add of Banana peppers. That one, I can understand, despite maybe being so easily brushed off with a lack of confirmation from the cashier. Then my GF lost her phone, so we called them to ask if theyd seen it, because we had left, and they picked up the phone and hung up. Who ever is managing this place might consider some changes.

Staff was nice the sandwich not so...I ordered turkey and avocado and i coukd barely taste the turkey. I had to search for it. Definitely NOT worth the $12.00 they charged me. I can get more meat at Subway and Togos. I will not be going back.. Sorry Ike. The first sandwich i had a few years back from SF was off the hook. Sad to see the quality diminish.

My family likes Ike’s. It’s usually my daughter who orders and picks up. Today though, my daughter is at work so I ordered through postmates (I couldn’t get through their phone) when I searched Ike’s on google. First, order was supposed to be ready in 25 minutes but when I went there, they were busy so I was told 15 more minutes. That’s fine, I waited. When I got home, the 6 sandwiches I ordered where not labeled properly. Only the person who wrote it can understand it. And the one sandwich with HM on it was actually tuna. I wish I could post the pic on this review.

Tasty sandwich, but named sandwiches, so you need to know the name. Asking for a pastrami sandwich requires a consultation between the 4 employees. Once I ordered, I got the custom sandwich fairly quickly, All employees were great.I tip well, 25 to 30%, so my sandwich, no drink, no chips -TWENTY BUCKS!!Across from CostCo.It was a tasty sandwich, butTWENTY BUCKS!?!?!Sandwich with tax, $15.Tip $5, total TWENTY BUCKS.

I love ikes sandwiches, but this particular location really needs to work on their organization & staffing. i been to this location a few times and every time the staff seems slammed with orders, which leads to frustrated customers and confusion. during my last visit i ordered my sandwich at 12:04pm, and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. it took 25 mins for my sandwich to be made, but when they called it out they didnt use my name from the order so i had no idea. it took me another few minutes to flag down a staff member who then verified the sandwich sitting there was mine. i ended up leaving the store at 12:33pm!!

I really liked the sandwiches from Mike’s, but they definitely don’t give you very much food. The sandwiches appear to be very big, but I got the vegetarian meatball sandwich and each half only had two meatballs in it. My friend got the tuna sandwich and had a similar issue of feeling like there wasn’t really much tuna in the sandwich. For $12 sandwiches there needs to be actually tuna or more veggie meatballs in it for it to be worthwhile.

Absolutely love Ikes and their special dirty sauce! I am so happy they opened another one closer to me. I used to drive all the way to downtown Oakland and pay for parking just to get a sandwich from there. One of the BEST sandwich shops in my opinion. Definitely worth trying.

No mayo, mayo substitute (dirty sauce) has undisclosed ingredients. Does have chili. Charged me for Italian dressing (oil and vinegar ( traditional on a sub so why the up-charge?)). Most stuff has some sort of chili in it so little flavor. Unlikely to return...Thanks for replying. I contacted you with more detail on your site. Heres what I said:You responded to my google review and asked me to contact you to discuss how we can improve so here it is.You could not up charge me a dollar to get what is a standard part of a sandwich. Especially when you do not offer the condiments I would like. You could provide a reasonable amount of meat on what was a basic turkey sub with avocado and bacon. My sandwich had no bacon at all, perhaps a ounce and a half of turkey, way too much lettuce, hardly any tomato, and couple of thin strips of onion. Although the quality of the french roll was just right, it became a shredded lettuce sandwich with hints of other flavors. Not worth the $15 I paid for it. Some people never learn to substitute the burning pain of chilies for the flavor of actual spices.So, to respond to your wanting to know my experience and that We want every guest to feel loved, respected, and appreciated and we want your visit to be satisfying.Dont rush my decision, provide a menu that is easily read and deciphered in a line at a lunch rush, balance the amount of ingredients so it not 30% bread, 50% iceberg lettuce, and little else. Make some standard condiments available (and without an up charge (e.g. oil and vinegar, mayonnaise)). Then you might have a place I will go to.

This location is pretty new - across the Costco parking lot. The line can get pretty long, but moves quickly. Even though this location doesnt have my favorite sandwich on the menu, the people who make sandwiches can make any Ikes sandwich - so a half of a Vegan Tom Brady for dinner today and the other half for lunch tomorrow. Weekday lunches are pretty busy - get here before noon or after 1 to avoid the lunch crowd. Ikes sandwiches are always tasty, and this location doesnt stray too far from expectations. Dutch crunch bread is always good, and you still get a lollipop with your sandwich order.

My favorite sandwich is the Hunter Pence with the BBQ on the side. The sandwiches are huge, ingredients fresh, and most of the time they get the order right at this location.They have plenty of parking but getting in or out of the plaza is kind of difficult because its next to a Costco.

Finally an Ike’s in the area :) service is a little slow but the location and sandwiches are great! Located in Eden Shores next to Costco so expect this area to be very crowded. I highly recommended the “Matt Cain” and will try the Haywood Special (Chicken fried steak) next time :) enjoy!

Love Ikes in Berkley, so I was excited to introduce my friend to sandwiches & love. What a mistake.Order took over 30 minutes to be made. When we received the sandwiches, both of them were missing toppings (i.e. missing cheese, jalapenos, double-meat).Didnt want to wait another 30 minutes for replacement sandwiches, so we ate. The sandwiches werent warm, but they were delicious.In addition, music is VERY loud - and the employees only make half-hearted announcements when an order is ready.Pretty sad that this location really missed the mark and it painted Ikes in a bad light with a first-time diner.

Ikes is open for takeout and were all happy about that. I got the Wonder Woman sandwich and added pickles. Needless to say it was a great sandwich 👌🏼. Parking was easy to find right out front. There are also some tables and chairs outdoors in case you cant wait to eat your food. Whether you eat it there or take it home, make sure youve washed your hands before digging in.

Made us pay for vegan chicken for our vegan Andrew Lucks before actually confirming that they evn have it. Been to a bunch of different ikes with no issue. Very disappointing.1/3/21I love ikes but this location always messes up our sandwiches. Didnt put mozzarella sticks on a sandwich that has them and forgot to cut mine in half creating a big mess. Staff seems inexperienced to say the least. Hopefully next time is better.

I really wanted a sandwich and the pics online looked amazing. I order 2 matt Caine sandwiches with the veggies. One sandwich had meat neatly placed on sandwich so you could see it and mine looked like chopped roast beef mixed with the lettuce and drowned in sauce. 1 slice of salami and no Turkey. Very creative sandwhiches, some 9f them combining flavors I would not have expected, but it works well. An example of this is the Pioneer a turkey, ham, bacon, and... strawberry jam sandwich. I know, right? Odd choice. But this sandwhich is amazing. At first bite it tastes like a turkey sandwich l, then that bacon and ham flavor comes in kinda like a blt almost, and b we fore you can finish processing the bacon flavors from the ham the strawberry jam comes in and draws it all together into a magical mouthwatering experience of sweet, savory, and crunchy goodness. Highly recommend.

There were 5 people making sandwiches and it took them a long time to get the sandwiches out. I got a Teriyaki Chicken Sandwhich. The bread was soo soft, but they mixed the chicken and the sause together and I didnt like it that way. Other than that it was good.

It was my first time buying here and, I noticed one of the guy answer the phone with the gloves then still add toppings to a sandwich without changing them didn’t get his name just Becareful make sure they replace their gloves if you see them grabbing phone going back to sand which areas it’s common sense .
