Wonderful sandwich shop. The staff was incredibly nice, food was great, and the wait was adequate.Quality of the food is excellent, lots of options to choose from including vegetarian and vegan. They even have sour dough bread which is dope.Staff is incredibly nice, the price was great considering how expensive everything else is around here lol.Worth stopping by if in the area, maybe even worth the extended trip if youre a ways out. Also lots of parking and wheelchair accessible.

Food was good. Decent selection of vegan sandwiches as well. They also have Zapps chips which is fun. The location is a bit wonky in terms of parking and the lot is small. The staff was friendly but the wait was fairly long and seemingly impossible to gauge due to online orders. Well be back!

The menu choices are almost overwhelming, but the food is always good. Ive tried both vegan and regular sandwiches and have yet to be disappointed. Everything is fresh and good quality and the friendly staff pays attention to details. Good stuff.

Their card reader sucks. It doesn’t take tap to pay or chip. The cashier had to enter in my card number and was so rude about it for no reason :( She also entered my card number in incorrectly and claimed that my card wasn’t working. When she corrected herself she didn’t apologize and overall the experience was awkward and unnecessarily hostile. Please get a better card reader since your employees clearly hate their jobs and can’t be bothered to enter in card numbers without having an attitude!Also, service here takes FOREVERRR

This is by far the best place to get sandwiches downtown. They have an extensive vegetarian and vegan section, and even the meat portion is not your average sandwich shop selection. They have 2 great girls that have been there since I started going 1.5 years ago and they take the time to get to know their regulars, which always makes me feel alittle bit better, if Im having a rough day. Last but not least I think everyone likes the Carmel Apple Lollipops.

The sandwiches here are awesome! Although I despise the name of many of them (a lot of SF sports themed, while Im an LA fan), I looked past that and enjoyed a couple sandwiches named after Giants players.The service was good, friendly and helpful. Sandwiches were ready not too long after ordering them.The star of the sandwiches was the Dutch Crunch bread. That is one of the most awesome breads for sandwiches, crunchy on the outside and soft interior.Id definitely come back to try some of their other creations!

Wait is worth it every time. They have an overwhelming amount of sandwiches but anything on the Dutch crunch bread is fire (which is everything). A solid place and the staff is ready to get you what you want and out the door to enjoy it.

The food was horrible. Saugy sandwich that took 20 minutes. Also got zucchini sticks. Even worse than the sandwich. Tasted frostbitten & stale - not crisp at all. Staff was definitely not into it. Nice enough, but kinda meh! The store is dingy & not clean. Sorry, I really wanted to like Ikes but there is no reason to.

Best sandwich shop in town with wild variety. Like you can put mozzarella sticks on your sandwich type of wild. Also their dutch crunch bread is so good and makes any sandwich bomb.

I’ve been to this Ike’s about 10 times, and it always takes at least 10 minutes to make a basic sandwich. I usually get the tony soprano which is their closest sandwich to an Italian sub. If you’re looking for an Italian sub, it is somewhat disappointing because the lettuce and tomato ratio is always too low and they put honey mustard on the sandwich. The Dutch bread is by far the best element of the sandwich. The meats are average. I would recommend one of the chicken sandwiches. The Italian sub is frankly disappointing. I go to Jersey mikes probably 2-3 times per month, and they’re capable of making a sandwich in under 2 minutes, and their ratios and meats on the Italian sub are way better. Jersey mikes also charges about two thirds the price for their subs. Today, I waited for at least 15 minutes for my overpriced sandwich and finally felt compelled to leave a review.

Wow! What a great sandwich. Like nothing Ive ever had! Large variety of meat and meatless options. I love Ikes sauce. The Dutch crunch bread is fantastic! Its small and theres not too much seating but good parking in the back. I definitely recommend trying this place. Get one of the cookies...salted toffee was great!

We just wanted to order a few sandwiches without being harassed over wearing a mask.Respectfully, I checked prior to entering to see if anyone wasn’t and sure enough, the female of a younger couple was NOT wearing one. They order and get their food.I go to get my family and the moment we walk in the door, the girl with streaked color hair asks us if we have masks.I couldn’t believe it. — We were discriminated against. And what a shame too, especially because of the great reviews this place has.If a manager is reading this, check your cameras for November 9, sometime between 2:00-3:00PMHopefully someone will reprimand the employee for such a shameful act.

Truly delicious sandwiches made unique by the availability of their dutch crunch bread. Also uses halal chicken which my boyfriend definitely appreciates. My personal recommendation is the Madison Bumgarner but every one Ive tried has been devoured.

I got their popular Ménage a Trois. We got the HALAL chicken with it so that was a big POSITIVE. The sandwich was pretty big. The bread was different which I liked. The sauce was okay, nothing special about it. We also got a kid’s meal HALAL chicken sandwich which was smaller in size and in a French bread. For the price, it wasn’t bad. To conclude I would say that the sandwiches are big, heavy and good tasting.

Vegan friendly. The food is soooo good. This is THE sandwich place. We first had it at their big digs in Santa Rosa and are thrilled to have them in town. It sure beats the subway that was in that spot. Do expect to pay $8-$13 for a substantial premium sandwich that lasts me 2 meals and give yourself some time. Their crew makes a great sandwich but are still finding their groove with speed in their new place.

On our second visit to Ikes we knew our order would take a while to be made. We were not in a rush. My husband noticed the girl who ordered after I did grabbed a bag with sandwiches inside and walked out. He said he thought she may have taken our food. One of the guys noticed we were still sitting there without food and asked what we had ordered. He confirmed the girl had taken our food and apologized. He told us to each get a fountain drink and a bag of chips. We had taken our own drinks so we got chips and ate them as we waited. The sandwiches were super tasty. Before we left I went to the restroom and turned on the light. It stayed on for a few seconds and shut off. I turned the light on and it turned off again. I told the guy who noticed we didnt have our food and he said the light had been doing that and went to take a look. He couldnt fix it. Before we left he was very apologetic about everything. He seemed very genuine and what went wrong was in no way his fault. It was nice of him to give offer us drinks and chips.

Avoid at all costs unless you like waiting 1+ hours for a sandwich. The guy with the dreadlocks should be fired. Ive been in there 10+ times and EVERY TIME I have to wait at least 30+ minutes even though I ordered my sandwiches via their app and arrive when it says they will be ready. Most times they forget to even check their computer for an online order.All I ever see when I am there are other frustrated customers who end up leaving because the service is so bad. They wont even take walk in orders until they decide they want to. How long can it really take to make a sandwich?

Great sandwiches. Ikes has been a favorite for years but thus location is slightlybkeas than expected. Sandwich was perfect as expected but slow as the interior was lacking. No sign for sandwich options so if we hadnt already known what we wanted it would have been a frustrating experience.

Have to admit as little concerned at first when I saw the sandwich being put together, it kind of just was looking like a normal Subway or something. But the end result was utterly fantastic. Wish we had one of these in Ventura. Also the two guys working there seemed very friendly. Nice Santa Barbara vibe.

Love ikes! I get the Stephen hawking in North ridge, its called the berry bonds with orange glaze added here. I LOVE there Dutch bread and you can purchase packs of them at the North ridge location... not sure about Santa Barbara but I would ask.

Solid addition to Santa Barbara’s sando scene. I still have a hard time playing $12 for a sandwich, so when i so, i want it to be great. Ike’s is up there with South Coast & Three Pickles. I had a hot turkey, cheddar & avo on the server’s recco of Dutch crunch bread, (hint, if your server recommends it a certain way, you should probably try it that way, haha). Will be back!

Went back because first time was great this time fell short. We had dog with us and only seating in direct sun no umbrellas on table. The wait was aweful. Husband and dog had to go find shade and sit on sidewalk. It took 35 minutes to make 2 turkey sandwiches with 5 people behind counter. We wont return

The price for lunch here is high but that’s to be expected it’s great food. It can be a long wait to eat and hectic environment to dine in with all the people waiting on their order. And it can be even longer when they don’t get your name right when taking your order lol so speak clearly it’s pretty loud in there. Again the food is great so get there early and have a great experience!
