A bit disappointed, but the sandwich was good. I ordered the John Wayne (thin cut steak) on dutch crunch bread. The bread was very good and I love the crunch. The sandwich itself was good, but I got 2 bites with no meat and a third with very little meat. For $13.00, I expect more meat in a sandwich.

Ive been frequenting this location in Newport Beach for a year now and it is my regular lunch break ritual. All of the staff knows me at this point and they treat me so well! Current favorite sandwich is the 107. If I were cute always about that Dutch Crunch! Ill never get tired of this spot.

Even when they are busy, they take care to use precautions to avoid cross-contamination when I advise them of my gluten allergy. Im celiac and have not had a bad reaction here. Best gluten free sandwich! I especially love the sandwiches with pesto. Warm grilled gf bread!

Delicious sandwiches EVERY TIME and although I have never spoken to someone directly, Ive gotten apology note for out of stock chips and things like that (so they sent me double chips or double lollipops!). Great customer service 👏Quality food for the price and the Zapps chips they sell have become one of my favorites!I usually order past the lunch hours through Door Dash and they are super fast!PICTURE: 30. Ikes is my new favorite sandwich shop! I get the Menage A Trois on Dutch crunch bread. Takeout orders are finished quickly and the staff is courteous. I dont know what the dirty sauce is but its so good! The prices are a little high but it matches the quality and the sandwiches are big.

Very careless people!!!!! We just entered the restaurant in wish to have a great time for dinner. My father intended to use the restroom, they closed the restroom and didn’t let him to use it. Lazy employee didn’t want to clean the restroom again because they almost done with their shift I guess!!!!!!! I explained the situation which my father has a prostate cancer and really he can’t control and he MUST go now. She simply responded he can’t use it. And she suggested going to the seven eleven next door! Well thank you for your amazing service really. Never come back

Just an ok sandwich and a little too expensive for what you get. A sandwich and a drink for over $15 bucks is simply not worth it. There are far better options in the area and for less.Another minor gripe is how poorly organized the menu is. Naming your sandwiches after famous people is fine but they make little sense and creates a long line of people trying to read the menu and deciphering the ingredients.

The quality of the ingredients, the bread, the dressing, everything just so good and really good value.I loved the fact they have their mission statement on the bag, I think its really sweet and clever marketing, but more than anything it shows you the mind behind such a great business. If you love sandwiches and variety, this place might be for you. It has a huge menu, and their sandwiches are highly customizable. Its nice that they have substantial veggie and vegan options as well -- the veggie chicken was actually very good. The sandwiches do take a little while, but they are worth a little extra time. I went in a group of four and everybody liked theirs. The BBQ sauce on mine was a little too sweet and a little too messy for me, but I still think it was pretty good. If youre looking for a change from standard deli sandwiches, this place definitely has some interesting ideas.

Best sandwiches in history. I wouldnt say I am exaggerating; they are just that good. I recommend the number 9 on wheat, cheese or no cheese, if you like chicken, youll like this sandwich. And dont worry vegans and vegetarians, they got all sorts of options for you too. Not only is the food consistently fresh but this whole place is also consistently clean. To top it off you get a Carmel apple lollipop with every sandwich.

So good!!! The Dutch crunch bread is great. I had the John Wayne (steak, dirty sauce, and American cheese) but then added jalapeños and cream cheese, it was frigin’ amazing. These sandwiches are HUGE so come hungry or be prepared to take half home. They come out warm/toasted so I’m not sure how good they would be reheated, but definitely worth a visit! Adding this place to my lunch rotation.

I had a sandwich with steak, BBQ, habanero and cheese and it was fantastic. It was on some Dutch crunch roll and it complimented the fixings really well. It was a ten dollar sandwich, plus tax, which is always kinds of hard to swallow, but I didnt get much of a choice about being here. There are tons of interesting looking sandwiches on the menu and Ill probably be back to try more.

Showed up 45 mins before closing. Employees were incredibly rude when we ordered 4 of the same sandwich. But the place was completely empty!Now, 30 mins before closing and we are told we cannot use the restroom because they just cleaned it! The manager here needs a lesson in customer service.As I left I said it was messed up that we couldnt use the restroom. She just rudley shrugged and said too bad its already clean.

If youre not familiar with this place originally from the bay area, go ahead and walk in that door! Their sandwiches are awesome. Each location has a regional special sandwich so make sure you keep an eye out for that. Try their Dutch crunch bread. Its yummy! You can also ask them to scoop out the inside of the bread if youd like.

Overhyped, and overpriced. Alert, this place suffers from grade inflation due to the Vegan/Vegetarian effect. I have written about this before. Vegan/Vegetarian places tend to have very high ratings, regardless of quality, due to self promotion by said Vegans/Vegetarians. The sandwiches are good, but overpriced. And the 50 cent surcharge is just tacky. Hey Ike, why dont you just raise the prices on your already overpriced sandwiches? Dont worry you can reserve the right to refuse the surcharge by informing your server, but what douche would actually do that? Thank you Ike for the passive-aggressive price hike. Oh, and their Dutch crunch is not actually crunchy, its barely passable. Go try real Dutch crunch bread, maybe this location does not bake it right yet, because I would be surprised that a popular bay area sandwich place not have great Dutch crunch bread, since its popular up there.

Im not vegan but my sister is and she brought me here thinking it was an all vegan spot, so if your vegan and dont trust them cooking alongside real meat and dairy maybe not the best place to visit. The product is good. The sandwiches however this is the 2nd time in a row the service has not been great. This time though will be our last. We tried to phone in an order but the line was busy for 10 minutes. So we downloaded the app and ordered on line. The order was scheduled for 12:45 to be picked up and we ordered 4 sandwiches at 12:05. So we gave Ikes 40 minutes to make 4 sandwiches and they are sandwich shop. Upon walking in i go to the pick up line and there is a plethora of ipads beeping. they said did you order from postmates? no, your app They pick one up and say oh here is your order. I said I need to be somewhere in 10 minutes. To which the response was Well we are busy sir as you can see. I do see that and that is great, but that is why we ordered 40 minutes ago. So they offer to make them fast (Turned out to be 17 minutes) and then before they make them I said please review the kids order they are completely dry no sauce etc. yes sir Turkey and avocado only. so 55 minutes later from order we get our sandwiches and then 3 of 4 are wrong. my kids wont eat them because they have sauce and we are late. While we were waiting i ordered a lemonade for my son which they charged me for which is fine but one would think its an opportunity to apologize vs. we are busy. I get that maybe they are understaffed but lunch rush is typical where there is good food. After all that I have 3 sandwiches my kids wont eat because they were wrong. Mine was good, but had one condiment i ordered without but hey...they will be one family less busy on Saturdays now.

Ikes is mine and my girlfriends newest favorite sandwich joint. They have what, over 1,000 sammies that they rotate monthly or seasonly(?). In other words, their menu is always changing, you can see the full menu online, and if they dont have a particular sandwich on their menu in store then they will still make it for you by request.Other than that, the quality of the food is phenomenal for a sandwich, but that should be expected for a sandwich at $10-12.
