I went to this wonderful restaurant with my 5 year old daughter and my wife! The BBQ at this restaurant is the best!The service from the staff is also excellent! The Korean cold noodles were the most delicious Ive ever eaten! Our family has become fans of this store!

I came here several months ago, this was my second visit to this place because we liked the food the first time. The waiters and owner made us feel like we had never been to a Korean BBQ restaurant by constantly giving us dirty looks, whispering while looking at us, and refusing to let us cook the meat to the temperature we liked. They came over and started cooking all of the meat for us, turned our grill off and walked off. The whole mood and atmosphere was ruined by the way they treated us.This was super unprofessional and I will never go back.Treat everyone with kindness and respect so they can return.

If you have kids, be mindful no high chair nor booster in this place. We were asked to wait outside even though we’ve made booking and were blocking no one.Barely any service. No one helps with bbq. Meat quality is only alright. Beef tongue has quite strong smell. Pork is better.I would not recommend place.

Korean Pojangmacha style barbecue restaurant. This houses pork, (hangjeongsal) is highly recommended. Dont forget the kimchi noodles for dessert. But parking is sooooo difficult.

Always love the mom and pop shop style. Great service. Open for dine-in & outdoor seat. Great quality of meat (wagyu etc). Love the fish cake soup (free) & rice balls. Kimchi is fresh (free which is common in Korean restaurants). If u can’t finish the meat & rice ball, take home, reheat it with defrost. Smashed the rice ball & mix with the meat. Or stir fry them together. Still taste very good.Great job building the tent for outdoor space.

Fantastic option for Korean BBQ in the area - the customer service is awesome. Every single waiter and waitress is super friendly and checks on you often. The meat is high quality and so flavourful: we ordered a la carte brisket, ribeye, wagyu, and samgyeopsal (pork belly) and it was perfect for four people. Currently, the place is open for indoor and outdoor dining and they have a nice tent setup just outside their restaurant. Will come back here for sure!

I seriously cant see how they got so many great reviews... The restaurant was just average. Like most other Korean BBQ restaurants, price is high. Dinner for 2 was $120 with tips. Meat grade and portion size was just average. Banchan (side dishes) was sparse and below par. They also state that they do not provide unlimited banchan :( Not sure at what point they charge for extra but we only felt comfortable asking for just one refill. They dont give you plain rice but some type of rice balls... not bad but not great. The place is small and felt like a local dive with limited parking. Floors were sticky. Service was friendly but limited as they only had 2 servers. Again the food was not bad but not great and with so many better restaurants in the area I would not go back.

One of the best korean bbq places I have been to in the bay area. Looks like its a small mom and pop which definitely adds the atmosphere. Our server was constantly checking up on us and making sure we had a good time. The meat quality is high. The side dishes taste so good. Instead of a bowl of rice, they give you a fried rice ball. Definitely the new go to spot for KBBQ.

Meat quality is only alright.Server said we can only get 3 rounds of side dishes, extra rounds will be charged.Our group (5ppl) got mandatory 18% tip but we got no service at all (nobody was helping cooking)A Korean group of 6 next to us was being helped/serviced the whole time and they weren’t charged with the 18%.Never coming back again.

Have been here many times and came for my 50th birthday. It was the perfect birthday meal, more fun and more charming than any Michelin star or fancy restaurant. The meat is of excellent quality and the service is warm and amazing. Will be back again soon.

Horrible meat quality.Its either all fat or all meat, but mostly all fat.Ive never had beef briskets that came with this much fat in any restaurant or stores.I could not get past 3 pieces because of all the grease.If you enjoy eating straight up fat then this place is great.Otherwise dont bother with this overpriced horrible meat.

This place was terrible. First of all, a/c was not turned on for the first hour until a group of white customer came in, pretty racist. Then, the meat quality was not great, no side dish variety. I would not recommend this place at all.

We had an excellent dinner there! We went a couple nights ago as a party of 6. Our first time to this restaurant, but had done the cook your own before. Our server, Im guessing family, was awesome and attentive to our table. We were the first ones there when they opened, but they soon filled up and we still had great service!! Very helpful with info and suggestions. Food was excellent, and those rice balls! We keep saying were going to try and figure out the recipe lol! We will definitely go there again if ever in that area!

It’s a bit pricy, but I always enjoy coming here. I would recommend coming with a large group so that you can get the barbecue order, which comes with a good selection of sides along with your order of meat. The fish cake soup and the rice balls are very solid, and I like their salad as well. The beef brisket is a no-brained, but the pork belly is also very solid.

Great quality meats, we had the wagyu, it was presented and cooked beautifully. The bonchon were fresh, little rice balls had a wonderful texture. Learned a few things about Korean cuisine during our dining experience here. Excellent and attentive service, will definitely be coming back!Must order the wagyu shortrib, it’s worth it!

WORST Korean BBQ experience in the Bay Area, from a customer service standpoint. We called and reserved for a group of 5 for 10:30pm. Although they say they’re open till 12:30am, they called us and asked us to come ASAP as they close the kitchen at 10:30pm apparently.We arrived well before our reservation and were seated. We were ready to order and wanted to order start with the minimum selections mentioned on the menu (at least 2 orders) as their main combination BBQ platter for groups was not available.We asked for the octopus from seafood category, which the waiter said was not available - we asked for the shrimp instead (only other option), which the waiter gracefully didn’t recommend saying it’s not fresh (THANK YOU for Atleast being honest- the only reason for the one star!!)We proceeded to request the minimum 2 selections for BBQ (one pork and one beef selection as written on the menu) to which the waiter replied that we needed to order atleast 4 selections, actually 5 selections but giving 1 discount as we were a group of 5 and said it’s their policy and also that we had to order it all at once as they’re closing the kitchen.But this “Policy” is not mentioned on their menu or anywhere in the restaurant (MENU CLEARLY SAYS MINIMUM 2 SELECTION). The BBQ was already expensive - avg. $50 per selection, and we would have ordered 3-4 selections if seafood was available and he’d been more accommodating. We walked right out and went across the street to another Korean BBQ restaurant with great customer service, food and open till 2am too.We experienced very poor customer service at Ilbunjee and I would not recommend this place to anyone else.

Went to the restaurant several times and liked their food and soup. But today’s experience was terrible, feeling offended by the waiter’s words and will never come back.We come as a group of five at dinner time. The greetings we get from the waiter of this store are: 1. Being told that we should have made reservation beforehand. 2. We should not be waiting outside because it is “intimidating” ???????With such treatment there is no reason for coming back, nothing in the restaurant is not replaceable and the bad service is definitely not acceptable.

We came here at 9:40pm on Tuesday. And they said they was closed. But the time on google shows they are open until 11pm. Also the opening time on the wall is showing open until 11pm. We drive 20 minutes to come here. So disappointed.

I cant believe I never posted a review for this place! This is seriously such a gem... the meat quality is great and service is so friendly!If you are craving some delicious short ribs or just dont want to wait in line for all you can eat KBBQ, this is the place for you! Their combos have great value but we also like to splurge a little with their short rib plates as well.The side dishes are made with love and every one of them is absolutely delicious. Its definitely more of a mom and pop kinda short but I have never had to wait and they are super attentive here. One of my favorites!

Good authentic Korean BBQ without the need to queue!Ambience & ServiceA small, modest Korean restaurant. The furniture are rather dated and simple. Once you see the full Korean posters, the Korean music and Korean speaking in the restaurant - you know you are in for the real deal. Service is ok, courteous and prompt.FoodWe ordered a Beef and Pork combi ($59). It came with a salad (2/5), a fish cake soup (4/5), side dishes (3/5), rice (3/5) and the MEAT! (4/5)The beef was so yummy!!!!! So were the pork. There are Korean BBQ where they have the meat marinated, for this place, their meat are not marinated - or at least not as much. In a way, you can taste the meat so much better. Love both version of Korean BBQ and pretty glad this one was the non-marinated version.ParkingTheres parking but we were super doubtful and concern about parking within the small premises. Take note of the markings on the ground as it some are labels specifically for the Spanish restaurant. We parked at the nearby residential area, take note of the signages. Generally, free after 6pm.Overall, a good Korean BBQ joint to visit.Btw, you will definitely walk out smelly like BBQ. So do not wear your latest, precious fresh smelling sweater! 😉
