I am a bit surprise to see Akami, Chu-Toro, and O-Toro differentiation, yet at the same time no restroom, no free water, and self-service set up with outside trash can. It reminded me of small wholesale in Japan with the retail part for mostly sampling, which I assume the Japanese couple here is doing with the surrounding retail. If you want quality rice go for the sushi, if you want quantity rice go for the chirashi bowl. Fish is no bad but might be because I was there a bit late, but they have everything like the traditional Japanese sushi joint with the hand written daily promotion. That mean from salmon to Uni to Kanpachi to etc... They also have different budget for everyone, just dont expect a gourmet meal with greasy spoon price.

Always the best, freshly made nigiri/sushi in town.Its a small little place where authentic Japanese chef carefully crafts your favorite sushi dishes. My favorites are their Amaebi, Otoro, Chutoro, and cant go wrong with any of their Sushi combos, A or B.They only to Takeout, so you can phone in ahead of time, or simply walk in to place your order.

The most fresh sushi in this area! I ordered a take out today and was surprised by the quality and price of this place. Beef bowel has a very generous quantity of beef. Sashimi and shrimp tempura roll are very fresh. Price is affordable! The owner is very nice to thank me to order here. I’ll definitely go back.They haven’t opened dine in yet so please support their business if you are a sushi lover.

Mom and pop sushi place that has super fresh, from Japan, fish. They really love what they do and the Hokkaido bowl is my favorite. They are always so excited to see us. Such nice people as well.

Very gracious service. The food exceeded all expectations. The fish was high quality for the price. Each piece was tender and flavorful. The rice was on point. Solid fish to rice ratio. This place is a must visit.

Writing this review in response to the people who seemed to have confused their own one-star rating as a person with the rating of Imari Sushi. This sushi place is so good, I routinely check to see if anyone rates it poorly, because the family that runs it are as genuine and awesome as the food they lovingly make. This place is carry-out only but they have a mini-mart of Japanese groceries and treats to browse while you wait for your order.This place is an absolute gem of a sushi spot that rivals the quality and taste of higher-end sushi places in LA, but nicely hidden in the most unassuming plaza next to a Little Caesars (which is convenient if you want to treat yourself to a quality Nigri set, while you let your kids go wild on a $5 Hot-n-Ready.)10/10 would recommend any of their sushi bowls. Ive tried every single one and they do not disappoint. The only thing disappointing about Imari are the 1-star reviews people leave.

Best sushi place in Upland, in my opinion, and very underrated! Fresh fish and food, amazing and friendly service, and quick take-out. They are take-out only, but you can order ahead of time or in person. Either option usually only takes about 10-15min (based on my past orders). Everything that Ive ordered so far has been very good, and would highly recommend giving them a try!5/5👍Go-To/Favorites: Dragon Roll, Cali Roll & Miso Soup

Excellent grade fish and sushi is well made. Quick note, they only have one phone line, so if you get a busy tone or it goes to voice-mail, probably just another customer placing an order. The owners are super friendly and great. The store itself has some japan specific items that are hard to find elsewhere so worth visiting. They also have specials posted in the store based on the different fish or seasonality of other items. Definitely worth the visit or takeout order. Hidden gem no doubt.
