Friday between 5pm and 5:30 was perfect for us. Was not busy, which was perfect for asking questions since this was our first time. The waitress was very nice and took our order with patience.The food came out fast and it was very tasty. We decided to order from the lunch specials, which were complete dinners. They just added 2 dollars more for dinner. The bill was very reasonable. I would go back.

My review is solely based on the quality of food, as the service was fine. My Kung Pao chicken was greasy and had a sour flavor. I have had this dish at countless places and never had one were you could taste the cornstarch. My wife enjoyed her Mongolian beef and it was a a good portion size. A few years ago this place had fresh ingredients and everything had so much brightness to the dishes.

Food was good . But waiter had attitude and rude .he was a sardar don’t know his name . He took our order . Our order ready and sitting there for 5 minutes to come on our table but they having their chat chat . There was 2 waiters .once he bring our food after 5 mintues I asked him my order getting cold and sitting there from 5 minutes. Its not even busy only was one our table . He aruge and said this is how we do . Owner need to look out on his staff of he really want to provide good costumer service .

First time customer, so didn’t know what to expect. Food came out extremely fast and had no flavor at all. Crispy garlic chicken was mushy with no flavor. Barely tasted the food and asked if it could be replaced with something else and was told “no” that “ it was my fault”. Then they boxed up my food and forced me to pay for the full meal. Extremely upset.

Great food, terrible customer service. I have ordered out with delivery multiple times, but every time they treat me like it’s my first time & ask me the same questions over again & the person on the phone is rude & never says thank you + they raised their prices way up during Covid & still the same…. Incredible Chinese food. Huge portions of everything, so make sure to come hungry or bring the rest home for your next meal. Recommend getting the family dinner meal based on the number of people and sharing to see which flavors you like most. Lots to try and will be back to sample more of the menu.

Recently discovered this place and I was pleasantly surprised. My first time there I ordered something safe just in case they weren’t good at what they do. My second time there I had a discussion with the waitress who gave me a Chinese menu and lo and behold everything I could want was offered. I can’t wait to go back and try the foods I’ve become accustomed to instead of the regular fare offerings.

This restaurant is a little on the fancier side even though the outdoor decor shows an average restaurant in a strip mall. We had a big party of 12 and they pushed two large round tables together. The food was wonderful and the servers were SO tentative and helpful. The food was hot and fresh, along with the great service makes happy customers. The ONLY thing that was difficult was the fact that our two large round tables made an awkward conversation blocker to the other table. You just felt a small gap between the two tables. Just something to keep in mind if you are coming here with larger parties. This did not have any changes in my rating however. My family will continue going back and enjoying our night out here. Thanks guys for great service and wonderful food!

Ate here today! It was not good at all rice and noodles -ok.. crab cakes wer -ok..I feel so sick now. I threw up what I ate!.. my stomach hurts so bad!! And the service was super poor. The place was empty..the waitress Lady kept hovering over me bumped into me twice! She kept coming over me and coughing over me as she was grabbing our plates. I told her to pick a side! The lady legit had both of her arms over both of my shoulders.I got upset with her. This place is garbage not worth it!!! I would not come here ever again!

This restaurant is little bit fancy! I like it like that! Customer service is so on point! Tip: go on lunch special 11am - 3pm they would give little more stuffs on your plate and reduce the price! I have been going here for years!! MY HONEST OPINION: I absolutely, Hands Down, think they have the BEST WonTon soup!! O M G!! The broth, the veggies, Wontons, AMAZING!!! MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! No one has beat it yet!!! However, the broccoli n beef, used to be amazing BUT the meat is questionable sometimes, I get different flavors. Some pieces r soooo good, and some just taste like, ‘Nope’! Service is usually very good, again, I’ve been coming here for years, we all have our ‘off days’. I love it though!! I stick with the meals without beef, now. The restaurant is super quiet inside, so much so that you can hear people slurping their meal and kitchen staff talking, which is a minor annoyance to me. There’s nothing offsetting the noise. In any case I didn’t really care too much for the miso soup as the broth was super thick. The rice plate tasted ok, although I got a big chunk of rib in my bite. Sweet and Sour chicken was crispy and tasted ok, the chow mein was not great. Noodles were thick and chewy. Also, they bill you by the can of soda, and no free refills. They also add an automatic 15% gratuity to ALL tabs. Which I think is to their detriment because I am typically a generous tipper. If they think they’re only worth 15%, so be it. That’s what I will agree too. However, I think that by adding in a “service fee”, people may not realize this is part of the charges and I personally feel it’s an underhanded way to get a bigger tip by people who don’t really pay attention to that stuff. Overall, I will not return.

Im going to say it wasnt good at all and that is sad to say because this place USED to be pretty good all around. It is rushing downhill with super sonic speed because of so many different terrible things that were noticed. The food is WAY overpriced, me and my companion did the math in our heads as we ordered and we are not so simple that we cannot do basic math so when the bill came and was WAY above what we added up we werent very happy and the inclusion of a 15% tip is very presumptuous of them as everything I said to my waitress was totally lost in translation...there was no getting past the language barrier to simply order...so while I enjoyed this place in the past I will no longer be taken advantage of...without my consent that is damnit! 😝

My husband had received a gift certificate for this restaurant, so we tried it for lunch last week. The food was excellent, and piled on high in a to go container. We had enough for two meals each. This place is really nice and the food was AMAZING. They are not stingy with the serving size too. The waitress was really kind and patient when someone who shall remain nameless couldnt figure out what HE wanted. Also FYI the hot mustard sauce is HOT rofl. The waitress warned him lol😂. Hands down the best Chinese food in Modesto! Entrees are typically 10.95 served on family sized platters that feed 4 adults. Depending on what dish you get you will have a good proportion of meat to veggies (say 75-25). I have never had a bland dish from here. Every dish tastes distinct and is full of flavor. A large and on task wait staff will bring out your meal in a quick manner. Dining room is small but pretty nice for a Chinese restaurant. But who cares! Its all about the food!

First time eating here and last time! Ordered their Chefs Special lemongrass chicken over rice. Horrible chicken had absolutely No taste whatsoever! Really bland, no lemongrass at all! I gave some to my friend, she said, it has no flavor! I found it difficult to eat, but if that wasnt bad enough the place was filled with flies!!There was a woman swatting flies while we were eating!! How unappetizing is that! While drinking my water, 4 flies landed on my food! Imperial Garden is a great restaurant specializing in Chinese cuisine. The price is right. The food and service is great too. I dined in and ordered some take-out and had great experiences each time. Portion size is adequate and I would rank this restaurant in my top 5 Chinese restaurants in the Central Valley. I did not like the Mongolian Beef but everything else was just right for me. A lot of people like to dine in on Friday and Saturday nights so the place is packed on these days.

So I just had gotten off of work, in my work attire (which isnt pretty) when me and my mother in law and my fiance wanted to have a night out by enjoying a chinese quizene. The wait wasnt long or the food wasnt bad but the service that and disrespectful/uncomfortable. While ordering the waitress kept notifying us about the price as if we needed to know how expensive it was. She was very consistent about it . Ive found that the quality has flip-flopped here. Ive visited all of four times, and each time it was a different experience. First time was fantastic, second time was alright, third time was a huge turn-off, and the most recent time was a solid ok. To be honest I havent gotten to try many other Chinese places around, aside from the Four Seasons buffet, so right now this is probably my best option for now.

I have eaten at Imperial Garden a number of times over the years. The prices are pretty standard for the area, and the portions are very generous. The atmosphere is cozy, and the serving staff is nice enough. Tonight we had a family meal with Sizzling Rice Soup, Potstickers, Mongolian beef, Garlic Chicken, Cashew Prawns, fried rice, and Stir Fry vegetables. The soup was a little bland, the pot stickers were ok, and I liked the beef chicken and prawns dishes, and the fried rice. The vegetable dish was kinda terrible though, there was a white garlic sauce on them that didnt seem to have any flavor, just made the veggies slimy. Also if you order a soda there are no free refills, you get a single can with a glass of ice. But since I generally liked the food I will probably go again. Especially since my favorite Chinese food place is closed on Mondays.

Way over priced $55.61 for walnut prawns, chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, kung pao chicken and 6 pot stickers. The only good dish was the prawns. All dishes lacked a fair amount of vegetables. Another Chinese place that checks the Chinese food box. Lots of windows makes it more aesthetically pleasing than other similar restaurants and it was reassuring to be able to monitor my car from inside without worry. The eggrolls that we ordered did not come with any sweet and sour sauce as they forgot. In addition to the horrible taste of the food, the price was outrageous. 7.95 for a small soup and 7.45 for 4 eggrolls. Who charges 7.45 for 4 eggrolls? I guess they do. This place was near our hotel and had some ok reviews, we decided to try it tonight and by far I hope no one ever goes to this place for food.... We ordered food to go and when we got back to the hotel and sat down to eat we opened up the wonton soup and it literally smelled like some one peed in the cup ..... After throwing that away we began to eat the rest of it and the food was stale and very plain in taste. We threw most of it away ..... On a positive note the white rice was ok and the fortune cookies were good. I hope no one has to sit down and try to choke this food down again.

The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very nice. We had the chicken fried rice, the chicken chow mein, mushroom chicken, and the house chicken. We also had their egg rolls and potstickers. Everything was perfect. I particularly liked their house chicken.

We ate here tonight only because our favorite place was closed tonight What a MISTAKE !!! I only gave it 1 star because thats the lowest you can rate it. There were 8 of us and literaly nobody liked anything. The food was greasy and tasted old and tha sauces all had a funny taste to them.I will not eat here ever again. I will wait for Dynasty Gardens or Ill just do without. Dynasty Gardens are a 5 star chinese food restaurant.

So I spent $45 at this Chinese restaurant the sweet and sour chicken was burnt the house chicken was burnt the Chow Mein noodles was disgusting fried rice no flavor I rather go to Golden Bowl in Salida on Sisk Road where the food is delicious cheaper bigger portions and very tasteful I called the restaurant to let them know how the food was and they argued with me saying that the taste doesnt matter because they sell a lot of food every day so they do not care about their customers or how much money you spend in their establishment I will never eat there again
