Im from New England, so In & Out Burger is a must when Im in California! I personally think the ones in California are way better than Vegas. This location, in particular, was very clean, welcoming, fast service, and excellent food. Our double cheesburger with onions was nice and hot. They cut it in half for us and even wrapped it perfectly.

What happened? The sauce isn’t as good as it used to be. The tomatoes, onions and lettuce were wilted, slimy and gross. Could it be just this one branch? Always loved In and Out and hopefully it was just this one time. Have they changed the recipe for the sauce? The staff who work there are always wonderful!!

Recently stopped in at this location and sat at the bar. Got a great view into the kitchen and the teamwork and customer service was so impressive I had to leave a review. The communication amongst the kitchen staff was amazing with everyone working together to get the food ready as efficiently as possible. Not the mention every time a customer came to ask a question, make an order, or pick up their food an employee came up to them and made eye contact and smiled. Simply 11/10 service and great food.

I came tonight and ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks, and 2 milkshakes. They read the order back to me when I was ordering, and at the counter to pay, but when I opened my to-go bag at home, I discovered they forgot to give me a box of fries. I was definitely disappointed. It was a really easy order and they forgot my food. The worst part is that they were not even busy. There were 2 cars in line in front of me, and no cars behind me. Literally I have never seen an In-n-Out so empty. I definitely will not come back to this In-n-Out. This isnt the first time this has happened, too. This has happened almost every time Ive been here. Not reliable at all.

UPDATE UPDATE: Came back again, ordered a 4x4 Animal style, delicious but too much with the cheese so I’ll either stick with the double double or try a 4x2, that’s 4 patties and 2 slices of cheese.UPDATE: Great, not good! I keep coming back. I have studied up, read the threads. Some think you just have to accept the fries, like they are a package. “If you really like In-N-out you will eat their fries!” Some say it’s because they only fry them once, others blame the oil. I don’t care, they suck and I don’t really like fries anyways so instead I just order two double doubles! Animal style and one regular. Awesome burgers all day every day!Good, not great. Fries are weak. Amazing machine, employees are responsive and fast and friendly. Fun to experience but sooooo hyped.Good burgers served in cute little diapers. Terrible place with a terrible attitude.Was my favorite go-to place until the new manager that looks like he has a couple of extra chromosomes shows up, his attitude really made me not-hungry anymore and made me feel discriminated against. This in-n-out location unfortunately has lost all my business and trust, maybe until they get a new manager that is normal I will return but until then, I will not be coming back.

Highly recommend eating burger asap. Waiting til you get home (to have your burger) does not compare to the crisp and fresh taste of a In-N-Out burger fresh and hot as received. Same for the fries which seems to never disappoint. I enjoy the onions both grilled and raw, but it is a personal preference. I always enjoy the kind and helpful service I encounter at In-N-Out burger. The simple menu and prices are always a delight for me.

Every time that I have the opportunity to eat at In-N-Out, it has always been the same great experience, so far. Since the moment I walk in the restaurant, everyone is very attentive and friendly. My order is always complete, correct, and tasting delicious. The restaurant is kept clean and organized, and I am sure that I am not the only one who sees how the team works in harmony. But, the most important thing, they work as a team. I really enjoy the experience each visit!

If you haven’t been to in n out you missing out on a cali classic. Definitely in my top 5 for a burger joint. I gave it a 4 star rating solely because of the parking/drive thru situation they have in that shopping center. They are located right next to Chick-fil-A so you have to wait to get into the in n out line most of the time.

This place is the best ! They and 5 Guys are on top of their game ! Everytime I come to California this is the first place I stop ! My first 2 days in San Diego I had 3 Double Double meals and they were beyond reproach ! The people behind the counter are spot on, they are young but they get the job done, this place NEVER slows down so if you go, expect to wait but the food is well worth it ! Too bad they havent come East and taken over the hamburger business and send McDonalds / Burger King / Wendys to the Hamburger Grave Yard with their products .

I’ve never had bad onions on my In-N-Out burger before, but these were weird. Hard and green-ish and really bendy… I was so sad it wasn’t the In-N-Out burger I was hoping for! If I could give this place 20 stars I would. We frequent this location, they are so good about food allergies in our case anaphylactic but my daughter can eat the french fries with the neccesarry precautions they take not cross contaminating dairy and gluten. We were doing errands today with the promise that we would stop and get her fries and her sister a shake (5 and 7 years old) if they were good. Both girls are on the ASD spectrum. When I realized I forgot my wallet I panicked, knowing the meltdowns that were in store for me for the ride home and had already started because mommy forgot her money. Philip was at the front, he totally saved the day and week in our world so much so I could have cried with his kindness!!! Thank you Philip, we will be returning with cookies and reimbursement. You are a lifesaver!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This location uses plastic straws instead of paper like Encinitas. I will no longer be eating here. Corporate clearly cares about profits over environmental responsibility. The city of Encinitas has banned plastic straws, while San Marcos has not, even though they are a only few miles away

We had a very large and complicated order, so decided to go inside to place it. The restaurant was very nicely set up for Covid-19 protocol and the workers were extremely accommodating. They were patient and professional and completed our order to perfection. As my wife and I were planning how to bring the order to the car one of the employees offered to help bring it out, going above and beyond expectations. I would consider this the BEST fast food experiences I have ever had! Taking pride in what you do is an example that everyone could follow. Extraordinary!

This is a typical In-and-Out; order your favorites off the secret menu or whatever your heart desires.Unlike other reviewers, I think that theyve done the best that they can with the current parking lot situation. Yes the drive-through is cramped, but they have signs and a dedicated, roped-off lane that doesnt bleed out into the street like other In-and-Out restaurants. Perhaps it stresses some people out but I had no issues with it. Just follow the signs and dont cut the lines.

This is a very clean store which I appreciate and the service is excellent. The tables are always clean and the hamburgers are really delicious. My favorite is the animal style one which has spread which is vaguely like Thousand Island which I like a great deal. And it has a lot of onions very good. But the fact is is that you can either order the hamburgers there or you can order off the secret menu. I think you can Google it and you can just ask anybody there and theyll tell you. Once again the staff is very nice and I also highly recommend it shakes and Fries. These people do everything right

I had a bad experience through the drive thru. I had a big order so I made sure the person at the 1st window got it right. Which she did. So far so good. Then at the 2nd window the employee forgot one of the drinks and one of the hamburgers was plain which shouldnt have been. I let her know and she gave me the drink, she also took the hamburger and when she gave it back it was in a bag. I assumed it was fixed. When I got home and opened the bag it was the plain hamburger. It did not get fixed. I dont think it was a mistake. They didnt want to fix their error. What a shame. I will no longer visit this restaurant again.

My granddaughter and I ordered 1 hamburger, 1 cheese burger and an order of fries for take out today, 1-13. The burgers were good but the fries tasted like cardboard. If we had eaten at the store I would have returned them. In fact I did see a man return 2 orders but did not hear what was said so I dont know why. But after tasting ours I would bet he was not happy with his either. We ended up feeding ours to the ducks..

In and out is the best. I have been here 100s of time. Every time I order a very specific burger from the secret menu. They get it right 100% of the time. Meanwhile the other fast food establishments forget food, put the wrong order in the bag and serve sloppy sandwiches.I dont know how they do. Look like a bunch of kids working there. For my wife and I, In n Out is basically our main food source. Always has great service, but this time around I feel COMPELLED to write this review because of how awesome Esau is. I’ve been to In n Outs all over California, Nevada and Utah....Esau is hands down the most noteworthy employee I have ever encountered; the guy is a straight up stud. This location is slow. If they are taking orders via tablet the staff doesn’t usually move you forward or attempt to help those poor souls stuck in the drive in line to edge forward enough to clear oncoming traffic.Read in another review that this is pricey. That’s kind of relative to the order. A double-double costs 3.65-4.50 pretty straight forward if your eating there by yourself.In-N-Out is awesome. Don’t you ever take the name of a Double-Double in vain.

We had to try it.I was overly impressed as a business owner how cohesive the staff worked together.There was a line around the block so we just went inside.That team was amazing. So fast. Good food.The guy who was running the register changed his gloves EVERY TIME he switched from money to handling food.Must have done it 20 times in the short time we were there.Uber clean. There is nothing left to say about in and out. The burger still worth sitting in line in your car on the freeway. Simple menu, so you dont have to wait for your kid or elderly parent to make up their mind. The service is slow, which means only that you get a hot hamburger and hot fries. The staff is friendly and they actually appear to enjoy their jobs. Spill something and watch them catch it before it hits the ground. The lemonade is made out of these yellow spheres that look as though they were picked from a life producing form of vegetation, like a tree. We all know that lemonade comes from a can, but theirs is the best Ive ever tasted. I think that they should have one more item on the menu, number four. Four is burger, fries, drink, with no onions. I hear alot of people ask for that combo. No complaints, I wish my grandparents had come up with this place. If we wanted to avoid war, we could drop these burgers on the enemy, with a note saying this is what we will feed you if you surrender if they dont, then we will drop the onions. In and out, thats what a hamburger is all about.

I am typically very harsh on fast food restaurants, due to me experience working at one and being at managerial level. This restaurant is good it just gets so crowded because it’s an in-n-out. The customer service is actually better during the late night hours, at least with the cashier and order takers on drive thru. The place isn’t ALWAYS clean and I’ve never seen anyone wipe down tables but it’s not as bad as a taco bell. Sometimes they hand out takeout orders in the completely wrong order. I was number 15 and they would do number 18 first even if my order was smaller. Just always unpredicable but generally delivers good service.

As always, best burger in SoCal. This location is great. Drive thru can get really backed up. We need more locations. We literally leave because the drive thru and inside are all packed lol for a reason. Once in a while an order takes a while and night get cold, but still tastes good. The fries are so fresh, crunchy, and not too salty. After retunong to vegetarianism, its the only thing I sometimes crave. I still stop by for The fries and a really good chocolate shake. In N Out is always a good option and affordable option. Go to is a Double-Double Animal style with Animal fries and Strawberry-Vanilla shake. But, given the location and to keep your sanity try am avoid the drive-thru. Skip the first light, you’ll just get stuck driving evening rush hours and head toward the second light, take a left, find some parking and walk-in to carry out!

I went to in-n-out today with my infant son. Upon waiting in line a worker named John greeted me with a smile asked if I needed a high chair for dining in. I told him yes. After ordering I found a nearby table, John brought a high chair, also told me to stay seated so I didnt have to leave my son unattended when my order was called. He brought my food to us as well, also checked back later to make sure everything was tasting good and that we were happy. John, you went above and beyond. Thank you for your service. Seems like the hamburger patties are a little smaller and thinner too...but maybe Im just imagining that. In & Out is always crowded but this one off San Marcos Blvd. seems slower than the ones in Esco and Carlsbad.
