The food tastes quite authentic and no dish has subpar quality or taste. I have tried their indo chinese dishes as well, they taste like real deal. They add food color to few of their gravy based dishes, eating which will stain your hands. I would recommend to ask server for details of food coloring if you want to avoid that. Highly recommend for vegetarians, they have some vegan dishes as well but you will have to ask server about it, its not mentioned on the menu.

India Kitchen is an excellent Indian restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone. The food is absolutely delicious and the taste is spot on. I felt that the value of money spent was justified as I received 80% worth of what I paid for. In fact, I believe it is the best restaurant in the area for Indian food. I have already recommended it to most of my friends. Raj, who manages the restaurant, is a nice person and good to talk to. The only negative point I have is that they use too much food color in their dishes. In my opinion, taste should take priority over presentation and I hope they understand that soon. Overall, India Kitchen is a great choice for anyone looking for an authentic and tasty Indian meal.

Amazing restaurant. My experience is mainly with the lunch buffet however. They have a varied selection that changes from day to day at a very reasonable price. They include endless garlic naan and even have mango lassi thats self serve! The atmosphere is wonderful with decorations, Nepalese music and whacky diners. The servers are super friendly with big smiles and kind manners. They even have a great option where they give you take out boxes and you can get a great box to go. This is hands down my new favorite Indian place in Orange County. Extra bonus of some Nepalese food and learning Nepalese phrases, music and getting into a glimpse of a faraway land.

Went for their buffet. The food was ok. The fried rice was very good. The gobi Manchurian I would not order if I am ordering from the menu. It was too sweet (Ketchuppy). The desserts looked good but were very sweet especially the Gajjar Halwa. Service was ok, there were 5 or 6 servers in that small place but had to keep calling them for anything I needed

Easily my favorite Indian restaurant ever. This review is based on nonstop patronage since 2017, even supporting them throughout the pandemic when the buffet was gone.Now that it’s back, you need to check it out. Best tikka masala, fresh garlic naan, and always clean inside with quality ingredients and friendly staff. They all know me by name lol.. hi Raj!

Food was good. My 1st time here and I didn’t see any menus didn’t even realize it was a buffet. Didn’t know I was supposed to ask for more naan and the bill was $45 for just 2 ppl. In all honesty I probably won’t come back. Place wasn’t bad just not for me I guess.

Mediocre food, they add so much color to their curries, it’ll stay on your fingers for few days.Also, the prices are too high for the quality. The malai kofta was so watery. And the dinner thali price was actually not a good deal at all. They only give one naan and per person gets half of it. It would be better to order off the menu than get the dinner thali.

Two stars for clean bathrooms and decent service.Was there for the buffet and though they.seemed to bring fresh food out to replenish the buffet, it was still mediocre at best.. So bland and boring and pricey like most Indian buffets after covid...Ate like 2 plates (well took bites off two plates and a lot left over on each plate) and was on my way.... almost tempted to stop at a fast food restaurant for a burger afterwards.The mint chutney was pretty decent but it was almost a turquoise blue in color... too much food coloring?

This place is just opposite to my home. Tried Chicken Biryani and Chicken Tikka dry. Between both, the Biryani is yummy and given a very little quantity of tikka which is not satisfactory for the price paid. The ambience is good to stay for the meal. Average job India Kitchen ✌🏻

Not good..definitely not for Indians!Came for the lunch buffet on Sat and this spot leaves a lot to be desired. Several dishes including Chole and Samosa I couldn’t get past the first bite. Rice was clearly couple of days old and the Bajiya was stale too. Naan was dry and closer to papad than Naan…Saving grace was the Palak Paneer and the Gulab jamun hence the 2 stars.Staff seems nice enough.Also India kitchen..why is there coconut in Gajar ka Halwa😭

Had every dish they offered. Winner was Palak paneer. Normally dont enjoy Palak but they had a great creamy blend.Unfortunately most the other options were low quality. Was recommended the tandoori chicken but it wasnt much more than food coloring. Very low spice and the marinade was only surface deep. At $22.50 after tax felt like the quality was not worth the cost.Service was fast and friendly. Immediately seated immediately served nann and drinks.

Disappointed. I wanted to go to Anna poor na Indian, for South Indian buffet. My hubby chose this, I did not like it. I asked the owner what happened to idli and Sambar in buffet. After Covid, it’s too expensive he said . I came home called Annapoorna restaurant, they have same buffet with idli and Sambar, all for the same price . Mainly Americans at India Kitchen, that says it all to me.They lost our business.

Quiet hidden gem of an Indian lunch buffet! Went to another buffet the other day that had a waitlist believe it or not. Food was good, but this place was better, with great service, kind waitstaff, and large buffet and seating area. Must try! Oh and Im vegan and they had 6 different options which is rare for me. Most places offer vegetarian with milk and cheeses in the dishes but not many all vegan. Superb price too!

I was traveling to LA at dinner time and thought about eating at a fast food joint. I’m so glad I saw India Kitchen instead and made the decision to give it a try! The food was excellent, the people friendly. I can tell all the dishes were made fresh, just like homemade. The naan was to die for and they slipped an extra piece into my to go box!! Food is excellent and consistent. Been dining there for several years. If you like real spicy food (India spicy), the chef can really set you on fire. Service is very good. Dont be deceived by the outside and the fact the restaurant is in in a strip mall. Once inside, the mood is quiet, the decor is simple but tasteful. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the buffet on a Sunday afternoon. Every dish was identified clearly. We began in order with the samosas. Very plentiful. Rice, vegetarian and chicken dishes were many. When I eat at India Kitchen, the food and service was excellent, despite the wedding going on down stairs. The staff and managers were very respectful and polite and getting our food just the way we wanted it to be. Excellent Indian food from the salad and Samosas to the main dishes and desserts. Seldom have I seen such an excellent variety of food. Many times Indian buffets are full of potatoes, etc. but not this one. Excellent high quality food with plenty of the higher priced items included in the buffet. Hot and sour soup held an array of almost unrecognizable flavors. Very good. The chicken vindaloo was great in flavor but needed more chicken. Be careful how spicy you order your food. I visited India Kitchen yesterday, and I was extremely pleased and satisfied with my experience there! The food tasted fresh, and delicious!! I had a craving for Malai Kofta, and it was in big pieces, and the curry was tasty! I especially loved the really delicious mint chutney (I think I loved the most) and the raita, as I requested that to eat with my Aloo Paratha! I ended my meal with gulab jamun, the famous dessert and masala chai, both of which were tasty! I also loved the fact that they have N and South Indian cuisines as well as Indo Chinese!! One of the very few authentic Indian restaurants on the West Coast. Took in the lunch buffet which has a variety of meals and desserts to choose from. Best in class and service. Its an absolute class, the way they take care of you. Unlike many other restaurants, they take it to heart, on how you rate their food. I had ordered Aloo Mattar a little spicy and it came out as little too spicy which by the way I liked it as it was. Seeing it was too spicy for my wife, they gave her a complete new plate with medium spicy and not only didnt charge for it, they gave us a free mango pudding dessert as well. Where in this world we will get this kind of treatment. Food quality should be praised to the maximum. Try it once and you will never think of any other ... Kudos guys .. You are awesome. This restaurant has quite possibly the best Indian food Ive had from anywhere! Ive lived in several major US cities and traveled to other countries and I honestly cannot think of a better place. Their Palak Paneer and Paneer Tikka Masala are tasty and delicious. Their green chutney also is our favorite chutney of anywhere, especially with it having a spicy kick to it. This is our go to spot for Indian food and we highly recommend it!

If you are craving Indian food then look no more than this place. They have a excellent lunch buffet for like $9. They bring out garlic naan and if you are special dosas, They have all the basics, not ask me to name the dishes but the first section has samosas and fried goods, the next is vegetarian, then meats dishes and then finally dessert. My favorite was the butter chicken.Small dining area around the buffet table but the have other seating areas in the restaurant.Good food, but for how long? I have only visited this place for their lunch buffet. The ambience is good. The service is prompt and price of buffet is nominal. Im a vegan and hence can only comment of vegan selection in the buffet. The idly, dosa and sambar are similar to Andhra and Karnataka cuisines. I did enjoy the fact that their curries are not oily. The selection is quite good for vegetarians and meat eaters alike, with 4 types of desserts. If you are a vegan, there are about 5 items that you can have excluding the salads.

Had dinner this evening at India Kitchen on Red Hill Avenue in Tustin. Food was outstanding! We started with Pakoras that were wonderfully seasoned and served with Tamarind and Green Chili Chutney sauces. Then we shared Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry, Tamarind Rice with hot chili peppers and peanuts, and of course Naan. Everything was seasoned to our preference - hot. Outstanding! The food was so delightful, that we ordered take out Masala Dosa and Idly (a form of steamed rice and lentil bread) served with Sambhar. I cook Indian food and the food at India Kitchen is as good as eating in an Indian home. Pure delight! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good tasty food and a wonderful atmosphere. The waiters are very polite and diligent - we never had to wait for water or service. If you want a taste of heaven, this is the place to go!

Ive patronized this place a few times for the all-you-can-eat, self-serve lunch buffet offering typical India fare and condiments, which is still a reasonable $9.95.Their team of attendants often bestow your table with naan and water, and remove your finished plates.I havent experienced food poisoning; I trust a place whose staff come out of the kitchen on break to serve themselves from the same buffet we eat - that means its not recycled! Also, most of their patrons are Indian :).Very interesting India music videos are shown sometimes.Theyre CLOSED a couple hrs between lunch & dinner, but you may remain seated during that time.The only drawback for me was that they stopped including lamb in the lunch buffet (now served during dinner), but still offer boney goat meat (this time it hadnt been slow-cooked enough as the meat was dark red close to the bone & too tough to easily separate).Their restrooms are kept super clean and fresh; 2 stalls in the females.
