The food was tasty, it was my first time trying empanadas and it turns out the best experience.The service was great.The only reason i give 4 starts not 5 is cleanest. There is no means of cleanest in this restaurant. Dost everywhere hopefully the kitchen looks good.

Open since 1996 and one of sole remaing businesses in an ever changing business park, its nice to know that some things never change. Food is still amazing. Get Lomo saltado with chicken and beef. Excellent.

The service was moderate at best. Hardly acknowledged by the staff and treated as is I was bothering them. The food was prepared quickly and accurately. The Lomo Saltado was very good but the Seco was nasty. Solid 3 stars

By far the best food Ive had during my stay in Irvine. I need to find a Peruvian place back in London. The service was amazing too, the lady doing miracles considering how busy it was. Very good portions too. Recommended for fresh, interesting tasty food.

First time and worth the visit. Had the classic Lomo Saltado and it did not disappoint. Lot of flavor with quality cuts and generous portion. As a glutton, I ate the whole dish and will repent later. When back in town, I will try other classics. Small,somewhat tight place with medium level noises from other tables and speakers.

Literally the best food I’ve had in a while! We’ve only tried the fried rice and noodles and the empanadas which were DELICIOUS but we’re planning on trying out the whole menu - the food is so flavourful, portions are large - You can get 2-3 servings per dish! The owners are also the sweetest, I can’t wait to try more!

Dont let the outside fool you - looks almost like a chain restaurant - but inside you will find a family style restaurant with a rustic ambiance, and some delicious Peruvian food.To start off there is regular bread served, but there is a green sauce there - maybe made of coconut and green chillies - but it was great.The food and drinks are served in metal utensils and was tasty. The Saltado was amazing. All the food had a little spice to it which i loved.Moderately priced.

We were a group of 5. The tempranillo wine was TOTALLY overpriced at $41 per bottle. Better to pay the $15 corking fee and bring wine you know is good. The lamb stew had two large bones which was almost one half the volume of the dish. Lamb was very tasty, just not enough. The ceviche was a total disappointment. It had two types of POTATO and way too many corn kernels, not tasty. I am used to Mexican ceviche which I prefer to the Peruvian we ordered. Server was friendly and responsive. Bread and sauce was GOOD. Will try other Peruvian restaurants in hopes of a better experience.

Food here tastes pretty decent but my God you cannot have a restaurant in the middle of the business areas where lots of people come during lunchtime.......and you screw up their order or make it super late. Most people only have an hour lunch, cant afford to wait 45 min to realize they placed the wrong order (paella instead of beef saltado). Asked to get what we order to go, confirming with the lady multiple times to get beef......only to receive chicken and have the lady adamantly say we ordered beef. Lady we SAW YOU TAKE THE ORDER WALK TO THE KITCHEN WINDOW 10 SEC AWAY AND STILL GET IT WRONG. and then watch her remove the food from the bill but no apology and just walks away without a glance. Thanks lady, you made us miss a meal and receive some of the worst customer service ever.

Excellent Peruvian food. I had the Chimbotano with chicken and loved it. Nice and spicy but not too much. My husband had the Spaghetti Saltado but he wasnt too crazy about the flavor of that dish. He really liked mine though!Service was slow...maybe because we were the only ones sitting outside.

Food is great and so is the service. Their Chaufa de Pollo is really good here, as well as the Steak Milenesa! This is probably the best Peruvian food in Orange County, maybe even SoCal. Great atmosphere inside and also some outside seating.

Terrific meal! Great drinks too. The place can get packed. The yucca root was SO great! Paella was tasty too. The only downside was the tables were a bit dirty from hasty cleanings between people. Perhaps it’s better at different times?

I have been going here since 5 years. I love the food here and the green sauce. Green sauce is so good that I can finish it myself in one seating. I can never the names of the dishes as my Spanish is not that great. Recently turned vegeterian and I am surprised they have so many vegeterian options. My favorites:1) chaufa (vegeterian) fried rice2) picante (vegeterian)3) arroz de Pollo (vegeterian)FYI you can buy the green sauce bottle only $6 and lasts upto a week.

Peruvian restaurant with an incredible amount of entrees and variety. Prices are moderate, expect to pay $15-$20+ per person. They also offer some interesting imported booze and other drinks like Inka Cola. Food quality is good, portion size is reasonable.

My first experience with Peruvian cuisine. I enjoy lamb, so I figured the lamb stew would be a safe bet, I wasnt disappointed. With the option to sit outside or at a booth in the restaurant, I choose inside to take in the unique style and decorations. The staff were attentive, prompt, and kind. Menu on hand, beverage offered immediately, table provided with complimentary bread, questions answered with a smile, and attentive for the order.Once the meal was in, a couple passes to assure any needs were met, the staff kept the water filled and a smile on my face. The meal was served rather quickly, hot enough. Id never had lamb in this style, didnt know what to think about lamb with pinto beans, the thin sliced red onion was fresh, and the rice was just subtly sticky. The meat fell apart quite nicely and tasted great with both the onion and rice, but Im still on the fence about the beans.Ill certainly look forward to coming back, trying another Peruvian dish, and experience the style that is the Inka Grill.

Been coming here for @ 20 years. We came here early on New Years Eve and it was quiet. I ordered the most popular dish, Seafood Paella. Portion was small and the worst part was that it was under seasoned and burnt. I let Estefani (our waitress know) and she simply said I will tell them know and there were no reparations of any kind. Not even an apology. Hope they get things sorted out because this restaurant was always great in the past.Reply to the reply...um, ya the problem is that Estefani didnt check how things were for a very long time and we had to get going. So waiting even longer was not an option. It is very telling when a reply cites policy instead of showing they care more about the customer experience. Because of the low customer service acumen reply Im lowering the rating even further.

This is one of my local favorites and the only place I really like for Peruvian food. The food is always close to perfect and delicious, especially the bread and the Aji Verde (the spicy green sauce that is also delicious on almost any dish).The service is typically good; but could use some improvement; but most of the time that is as a result of how busy this place is pretty much all the time. Despite the service issue, I still give this establishment 5-stars because the food is worth the sometimes less than stellar service.Additionally, it serves as a great place for take-out or delivery.

In Latin American we proudly pronounce that we are family in one way or another. I have a Tia here at Inka Grill that makes the best ceviche “estilo peruano”, omg so “delicioso”. Chimbotano! This is a very delicious chicken in a garlic sauce with rice. You will not be disappointed.Inka Grill is tucked into a shopping center off the 5 in Lake Forest. Cute place with exceptional food. The rotisserie chicken is perfectly done and they make their own French fries. Place is slow...... Waited 45 mins for my food. Only to be served the wrong dish. I asked for a Saltado with beef, it was taking so long that we asked for the food to go. At first they gave me paella instead and then they tried to give me another version of the dish but with the wrong protein selection, chicken instead of beef. After confirming with her that I wanted beef. Twice. Ya............. Dont come here. I ended up having to skip my lunch because I wasted too much time here. I only gave it a one star because Google does not give me the option to give them anything lower. Also I would post pics of the food but I never got it.

Served us spoiled meat in our saltados. They denied that it was spoiled. I know spoiled beef when I taste it/smell it.RESPONSE - I know spoiled beef. Im sorry that you dont. It makes me question whether you should be cooking for the public at all.It is no surprise that they deny this. To be clear, we took one bite and realized it was bad. We ate and happily paid for our appetizers and drinks. We didnt ask for any compensation of any kind. Now ask yourself, why would I write that we were served spoiled meat if we werent? This place seems pretty authentic and like that you eat on metal bowls and have the metal cup. A lot of the food can be pretty spicy for me, so I stick to items that arent. The food is really good and service has always been quick and helpful. This place is in a strip mall area that is scarce on parking during peak times, so heads up. Also, the restaurant is decently small, so its probably not the best option for groups larger than 4-6.The do serve beer here.

Delicious food from a cozy little place! The saltado, the huancaina pasta, the milanesa, and the cau cau are all highly recommended. They also give free bread with a wicked spicy green salsa that goes with everything they have. Would recommend dining in here, since the inside is very colorful and lively, and takeout can get pricey at times.

This restaurant doesnt even deserve one star! Went to have dinner and they didnt want to serve us more bread. The waiter said they had to serve the new customers coming in. She was a rude and very disrespectful to us. They also didnt have many food items available. We just payed for the drinks and left. We had to cancel our orders. Since they have bad service there, they shouldnt have even changed us the drinks. There was no apologies whatsoever. The waiters didnt even care about losing customers. Would not recommend this place at all!!

The employees here do NOT wear masks and do NOT practice social distancing. Honestly, I was shocked that they were serving food without wearing masks! My server was nice but she made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I just couldnt eat there so I had to walk away and throw away the food. I had enjoyed Inka Grills food in Lake Forest in the past years but recently found that the food quality and portions have gone down when I ordered delivery in mid May 2020. The best seller paella, Best lamb stew and Lomo Saltado were the worst I have eaten.Not only were the prices expensive, the paella was just a tiny ordinary fried rice with little seafood, the lamb was a small cut and it was tough, and the Saltado was equally small and salty with mushy fries. However, the Aji Verde spicy green sauce was good and delivery was quick. The drop in quality could be due to lack of good kitchen staff during the Covid19 in-dining shutdown.I had given a 5 star review in the past but now I would rather go somewhere else for better Peruvian food.

Very bad service. Forgot to bring our drinks, asked the waitress for ketchup and also forgot about that. Water had a nasty taste, Im sure it came from the faucet. Tables were very sticky, the menu and plates were almost glued to the table. Ordered fried calamari and the lemon that accompanied it was dry with literally no juice in it- the cook placed it in the plate and didnt bother to use a good lemon. Asked the waitress for lemon and she brought HALF a lemon for an entire plate of calamari in her BARE HAND after using dirty rags to wipe down tables. Place is very hot, there is no a/c. There are ceiling fans that only spin and dont actually circulate air. VERY BAD, will never come here again. They only have two servers, I guess their business isnt doing good for a reason.

I had been going to this restaurant for the last two years now and Im loving it every time I go. I was skeptical to go at first, when my friends recommended it, because Im a chef in my own right. I noticed this restaurant picking up a coffee at the Starbucks next door. Its in the plaza there right off Bristol with plenty of parking.The place is nice and seats about 50 give or take with bar seating as well with a fully stocked bar. The food is good and as your waiting they bring out fresh bread with green spicy dipping sauce which is quite good. I had the lomo Saltado which is a typical Peruvian dish.Service is quite good also and my server was quite attentive to my needs although I kept it quite simple. I would definitely recommend.

My cousin had shown me this place and after that its one of my favorite place. Im vegan, so not every 4/5 star rated place is vegan friendly but this place do have many vegetarian options. Peruvian Aji Verde sauce is my favorite. One of reason to visit this place. It goes really well with bread they serve while you wait for your order. Vegetarian Picante and Saltado are my favorite. If its raining or climate is cold, you should definitely try Picante as it served really hot.

The hardest thing to determine is what you are going to eat when arriving at the Inka Grill. Saltados are always tough to pass up, but the fish, ceviche, spaghetti, stews are also excellent. The dining room is now open and friendly servers are always available to help you decide. I would love to tell you how great the desserts are. Unfortunately, I usually load up on apps and an entrée. Of course, they have the bread with green sauce and the plantains etc. Come support a local business and you wont be disappointed.

I took a group of coworkers for dinner and the service was spectacularly terrible. Interestingly, that day the training at work was how to provide good custom service. The blond waitress with a pony tail was one of the rudest and most incompetent waiters I have seen in orange county. When I asked for her manager or supervisor, she got in an argument in front of all the other customers with me claiming that she was too busy and I would need to come back tomorrow if I had problems with the service.

I just ordered a lomo saltado, and I did not get any luck. When the food go here was very cool, also I noticed that the portions of meat was only 5 or 6 small pieces. The plate was filled with a lot lettuce... look like meat when you mixed together.I know, I ordered with lettuce but that was too much.The flavor of the plate, never close to the real lomo saltado peruano. I called the restaurant right away a least to inform them, and the men who answered the phone around 5.15pm, just said to me, that the portion are the same for this kind of dish. Im Peruvian I know the food. I ordered a whole chicken and not only it was poorly seasoned but it was awfully dried, probably from the day before. They sold me the sauce, they call it gringo killer. This is usually free and included. BTW this sauce is not Peruvian, its watery and jalapeno based. We dont have jalapenos in Peru. It was 30 dollars for a chicken including the sauce. Pretty expensive compared to how much chicken you can get for this price at KFC.

We dropped in for lunch and I had the Lomo Saltado which is a traditional Peruvian dish comprised of sliced steak sautéed with spices, tomatoes, and onions served next to a bed of rice. I like to mix the rice and the steak and veggies together so that the sauce is mixed in well with the rice.

Its fairly busy during the weekdays at lucnh but outside of the lunch rush you will more than likely have a good experience.Peruvian food in general is fairly well known for a dish called a saltado meaning in this case tossed. Its essentially tomato, red onion, french fries tossed in a few different sauces/spices and served with white rice; its pretty damn good. You have a choice of protein to go with your food selection not just the saltados.A personal favorite of mine is the Paella. Its rice dish cookednwith seafood and other vegetables. Its really good if youre not feeling meaty or like having chicken.Try it out...you wont be disappointed!!! Unless you suck.

One popular Peruvian dish I was surprised not to see on the menus is in fact the Bistec a lo Pobre, they instead brought me this milanesa meat, with CANNED beans! Woah.
