Sat outdoor. I got street parking. Dim sum all day with large selection of alcoholic beverage, but didnt try any. Large selection of dim sum and many vegan dim sums. Siu mai was excellent. Vegan Turnip cake was good. All the wrappings were al dente. No pieced of pork fat in any bite. Will definitely go back.

I really wanted to like this place bc there isnt a good dimsum place on the west side - you always have to travel east (actually there arent a lot of good chinese restaurants in general on the west side)It wasnt terrible (Ive def had worse) but wasnt great. There were some good dishes (sponge cake was great, vegan pork bun, egg tart come to mind) but I think a lot of things were a little underwhelming. We (4 of us) ordered a variety of dishes from:-meaty stuff (shrimp/pork siu mai, shrimp/chive dumpling, steam bbq pork bun, baked pork bun, steamed sausage roll, chicken feet)-to vegan items (v. bbq pork bun, v. ha gow, mixed veggie dumpling, fried salt/pepper tofu, v. lo bat go, v. ham sui gok, garlic cucumber salad)-and desserts (duckie red bean bun, sponge cake and egg tart)but many of them (not all) tasted a little bland. I was surprised even the fried salt and pepper tofu wasnt very salty. While the waiters were friendly, food coming out was slow, compared to other dim sum places where food always seems to be delivered. So with the underwhelming food and it slowly being brought out, on top of it being expensive for what it is, I dont think I can recommend coming here.It was very interesting to see they offered a vegan menu though which Ive never seen at other places. The decor was nice and they offered bi-lingual chinese books for kids to read.

Yum, no other words.Great selection of dim sum. Their XLB, soup dumplings have a great variety but sometimes the soup has escaped, hole or something...Like the atmosphere and the service is always nice.Would maybe rethink the robot, its nice but in the end not practical...Someone with me would give them a 7.5 because the house cocktail was not as displayed in the picture. Still very good cocktail.

I made a reservation through Open Table and luckily it wasnt too crowded when I arrived. I was given my choice of table and decided to eat in the patio. It was raining and my friend and I did have to move due to some errant leaks, but overall we were finally settled enough to order. We ordered the har gow and chicken bao (standard), soup dumplings, and a vegan dim sum w/ shitake mushrooms and we actually had a second order because it was very tasty. Since it was my first time there, we did order a dessert bao (Strawberry cheesecake). For drinks, my friend and I ordered a teapot of a tea blend. And I tried a drink called a hot coke. Overall, I love getting dim sum because there is also a huge amount of options to try. The menu is quite extensive with 3 pieces sually and more for the soup dumplings. The parking is a bit tough as it is attached to a building and I wasnt sure if there was any restaurant parking. I ended up parking on the street. I will definitely be back to try other items.

It was really good. The food was really tasty. My fiancé had the regular dim sum, and I have the vegan versions. It was delicious and you couldn’t tell a difference between the two. So that’s good if you’re vegan. Only thing was we went there because they had robot waiters, but it didn’t really seem like they had that part down yet. I don’t know if they just barely opened. But the robot waiters and the regular waiters were kind of interchangeable, in the way that the regular waiters were just grabbing the food off of the robot waiters. Instead of us being able to interact with them. Otherwise it was great. The staff was more than friendly. And we got sat pretty quickly.

Visiting from Florida, and came to the restaurant after seeing a clip of it on TikTok. The food was great, I tried several dishes, the soup dumplings came out ahead of the rest as the best purchase. The employees are super friendly, especially Noey, he was the best! He gave several other suggestions for our trip and went above and beyond with his hospitality. Give it a try, it’s a modern twist on a classic dim sum restaurant, and worth the visit. Oh, and you’re food is delivered by a robot cat waiter, which just adds more fun to the experience.

Came here with a small group on a Sunday early dinner and while the place wasnt very busy, the service wasnt great. The waitress did take our order fairly quickly but we hardly saw her after that. Once in a while she came to drop something off then immediately left. We were never asked if we needed anything and it was a mission just to order more. The food itself was good, but Ive had better dim sum elsewhere for more affordable prices. Nice to visit, but wont be back.

Second time coming here and I have to say I am as disappointed as when I visited back when the place opened. Food was underwhelming for the price, and the wait time was horrendous despite being seated as soon as we entered. We were never offered a menu, so we had to steal it from the neighboring table. Same for the requested chopsticks, and the additional chili oil. Also thankful I ordered a pot of tea because we did not get the water we were offered until the end of our meal.I understanding wanting to provide an “upscale” dim sum experience but the quality of the food and service should reflect the price you expect customers to pay. Time is also valuable and we ended up feeling like hostages trying to get our server’s attention. Definitely could’ve left at least 30 minutes earlier if we had had more attentive service.

I have wanted to try Iron Teapot for a while now, since The Infatuation listed them as one of the best new restaurants to open in LA. It was a very underwhelming and disappointing experience. To start, the front door was locked even though they were open. There’s a side door (that’s really in front) with a sign that says “Please use front door.” We entered through the side door.Like most restaurants these days, they were under-staffed. The waitress was friendly, but rushed so whenever she dropped off a dish, we didn’t know what it was. Many tables were left unclean and the cart for dirty dishes was piled high next to the entry. The steamed bak choi was essentially raw. We sent it back. The tea we ordered never arrived. The rest of the dishes varied from OK to borderline bad.I know these are difficult times and I want restaurants to succeed. This place has potential, but I don’t think I would return.
