First time at this restaurant, we were a party of 8 celebrating my brother-in-law’s birthday. The staff were friendly, professional and courteous. The food was served hot, well seasoned, adequate portions and delicious. We were all throughly satisfied and would definitely go back in the future.

Loved the atmosphere, though rather noisy. Loved the food, especially the barbecue (my all time favorite). Havent been at this location in years yet it felt like home as soon as I walked in. Looking forward to my next visit.

First time visiting this restaurant.Ordered one of the combo assortments fir the table to share. The combos are discounted from ordering the entrees individually, you get unlimited rice and it comes with theee fountain drinks.I massively over ate, big time, had to take a nap.My stomach hurt.I was happy. My Filipino food experts say it is authentic and brings them back to their childhood.Wow ... thats quite an endorsement!(hey, didnt i hear that in a Disney film?)Anyway, its a great place.Highly recommend it.Go early, its packed by 11:30 am on a Saturday.

Came here with a party of 4 on a Friday around 6:30pm for dinner. Super spacious restaurant with lots of seating. The place filled up at 7pm so we are glad we came a bit earlier than their dinner rush. Their waiters are friendly and work fast, but they’re a bit understaffed for all the tables. We had a feast and ordered a ton of stuff for 4 since their menu was so expansive!- Lumpiang Shanghai: easy appetizer and made in cute bite sizes to easily munch on throughout dinner.- Sizzling bangus sisig: solid dish and goes well with plain rice or another rice dish- Binagoongan rice: I liked the mango and tomato bits that added flavor to the rice. The fried pork in this was also very tasty and balanced the salt and fried was of it with the rice and tomato and mango.- Crispy pata: massive thing and we took it home at the end but very crispy and a popular dish since it’s not easy to make at home. Also goes well with rice or noodles since it’s just meat.- Pancit bihun guisadu: I love my noodles and this was a solid dish. Loved the seafood and quail eggs added to it too.- Bicol pakbit: added a veggie dish cus we need a balanced meal :p I love the coconut flavor and reminds me of Thai dishes but lots of veggies in it, even bittermelon!Drinks:- Black gulaman: love the little bits of grass jelly and coconut pandan — reminds me a lot of Che (Vietnamese desserts). Let the ice melt so it’s not so sweet too.- Red horse (2): 8% beer, one of their stronger ones but it’s a their local Philippines beer so try it if youre a beer fan.- San Miguel pilsener: their lighter local Philippines beer, also worth a try if you’re into beers.Overall we left super full and satisfied! Family-style is the way to go. All this was around $40 a person including tips. Also, don’t forget to like them on their social media page for a free scoop of ice cream. I got ube and it was such nice cherry on top of the meal :)

Isla in San Bruno, CA is most deserving of 5 Stars in all of the categories!Arrived hungry at lunch time, 12:30pm.Was immediately seated and welcomed into a vibrant wholesome family atmosphere.Ordered the following:• Tocilog• Pancit Palabuk• Ultimate Ginataang Gipon• Halo Halo(topped with Ube Ice Cream and Leche Flan)Delicious flavor combinations with the food arriving less than 6 minutes after being seated, Wow … a round of applauseOne, two, three, four, FIVE Stars !I approve of this rating, Jay M.

In terms of authentic Filipino food, it’s not bad. We got a plate combo each, my friend getting the grilled chicken and me getting the Tocilog. The price was decent and you get your moneys worth here. The combo plates came out quick with soup, rice, egg, tomato, and the meat. They could’ve had a better veggie side included with this meal than just just tomato. Even on the menu, there’s no small veggie side dish you can add; only huge plates.I was not a fan of the tocilog since it was doused with sauce and the flavor was too sweet and overwhelming for the pork. Would prefer it just right. The ube ice cream at the end was delicious and a nice way to end the meal

From the moment I set foot in Isla Restaurant, it was evident that this wasnt just another food destination – it was an immersive culinary journey!Billed as the Tourist Food Destination, Isla lives up to its name, offering dishes that tantalize the senses and transport you straight to the heart of the Philippines. The ambiance is a harmonious blend of rustic charm and contemporary flair, making diners feel both cozy and sophisticated. But its the food that truly steals the show. Every dish is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of the Philippines, crafted with passion and precision. The flavors are authentic, bold, and incredibly satisfying.Service at Isla is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring each guest has a memorable experience.A special mention must be made about their association with Parilya, another renowned name in the culinary world. The synergy between these sister companies is palpable, with both establishments upholding the highest standards of quality and taste. To sum it up, Isla Restaurant is not just a place to eat; its a place to experience. While in the bay area, our family had one of dinners here at Isla Restaurant. Place was very busy but we got seated almost immediately and our waiter were quick in getting our orders placed. Lots of food! Food was tasty - we especially liked the Tinta Rice and the Sulit Bilao (which was a whole platter of mixed items from fried bangus, to Inihaw na Leimpo, to Lumpia Shanghai). Great place to gather with family and enjoy a meal.

This place is not bad, it has more options than other Filipino restaurants. Their Tocino was just plain sweet and not much of other flavors, it was fatty and oily. The fried pork belly with shrimp paste was super salty and bitter eggplant with mango being hard cubes. I agree with many other comments regarding the lack of customer service. Their food in the back being already precooked were being plated nicely. Reason why they are fast coming out but still lacking customer service. You do have to ask people to help get your order and you have to get your own drinks. Their beef soup was hard but tasty. Their pancit palabok was too wet and came out cold. Their caldereta fish was really good but the portion was good for 1 person.
