Izabella Ristorante Italiano in South Lake Tahoe

I chose this place, after looking at some reviews on here. My server, Greg, was very knowledgeable and kind, and I asked him to help me choose between two dishes. The Grilled Blue Cheese Salad was smokey and tasty, and the blue cheese dressing was incredible! Greg helped me decide on the Salmon Oreganato, and it was so fragrant and delicious! I received a very large portion of salmon, and it was cooked perfectly! Excellent choice!

It was a beautiful place and restaurant. The food is tasteful especially the appetizers mushrooms and bread stick.A high price on food just to make awareness. I had the Alfredo ($21) and add chicken ($10) to complete my chicken Alfredo experience to compare with Olive Garden.Sadly my chicken was burnt and I can taste the burnt bitterness charcoal on my chicken. The paste taste good but overall, I think Olive Garden still my favorite place for Italian pasta.

The food is good. l loved the vibe of the restaurant. A nice place to go on a dinner date after a long day at the lake. They have vegetarian options too.

Good food and the portions are large. The servers are friendly and attentive. In and out quick.

Lovely Italian restaurant. Great food, Affordable for the portions. Try the Garlic bread starter and the Rigatoni Paisano.

Our second time to South Lake Tahoe and have to say Izabella exceeded our expectations.Walking distance to the Marriott with a relaxing and cozy vibe. Service was excellent.Everything from the appetizer to pasta were delicious and well prepared. Nice wine selection. I surely recommend the Frank Family Zinfandel as it was surely smooth.

Was just here again 9/2023, its a must go to place when in Tahoe. This is my favorite Italian restaurant, havent had a bad meal here yet. Prior to this, it took us 6 years to make it back heren, today my friend and I had the Cesar salad, minestrone soup, portobello mushroom ravioli and the lasagna. Both excellent, the ravioli cream sauce is super rich, I can only have 1. I forgot to take a photo of the lasagna, but I had 1/2 left that i took home and took a picture. I we ent back the nwxt day for take out. In L.A., ny nice requested I bring her Spaghetti with meatballs. Its her favorite place too and compares every other place to this one and no one else comes close to how they make it. Other favorites : eggplant parmesan, carbonara, ravioli, creme Brulee and brownie was all amazing on their own. The calamari, grilled salad are great starts, the minestrone was more veggies than tomatoes, which was still delicious.

Great Italian restaurant, close to the Stateline area, has its own parking, which is great!You have a decent selection of Starter, Salads, Pasta, Entree, above 6-8 dishes each, with a main focus on seafood like fish, salmon, shrimp, scallops and clams. Then chicken. Not so much beef or pork.The portion is trending the small size. You will need about 1.5 order per people.The staff is attentive and friendly.The price average about $50 per person without drink.

I ordered this seafood plate and could only taste a sour vinegar flavor, the steak was very bland, service wasn’t great

It isnt often that I get overly excited about a restaurant, but this one has me happy dancing the next day! I loved the atmosphere. It was classy,dark,clean and had great music! The staff was super friendly, everyone greeted us when we walked through the door. Our waiter was awesome! Hands down the staff was one of the best Ive dealt with in awhile. The menu is freaking awesome. Theres a nice assortment of classic Italian dishes along with some new dishes. And please do yourself a favor and grab an appetizer. Im obsessed with the fried polenta! Like I cant stop thinking about it, it was to die for. I had the ravioli with grilled chicken in a light sage cream sauce and omg it was outta this world.* ( my mouth literally just drooled thinking about it) my husband had the special of the day. It was a good sized sole filet with angel hair pasta, spinach, tomatoes . It was amazing!we didnt get to dessert. We were so full. Ohhh and they bring out thos fresh garlic foccaccia bread while we waited for our apps. That bread was soooo delicious, I mean really really delicious. I cant stress enough how fresh and tasty the food was. This is my new favorite . I cant wait to go back. Check out the pics of the food. You can see the freshness!
