2024-02-22 23:04:44First visit here, made a reservation and was placed in their back room aka “the cellar”. Room was cool, gnats buzzing around. There was no ambience to their cellar compare to the front room. The gentleman that was helping us was nice & knowledgeable, but wished he left the table and pour and explanation of the wine instead of standing their waiting for our first taste of what he poured. Made you feel like you needed to say “oh, that’s good”. Their Zin is amazing, but wasn’t impressed much with anything else. Didn’t need to hear about their dishwasher issues as reason for plastic wine cups (which they said we could take home). We did buy two bottle of wine but won’t be returning.

2022-05-08 06:13:40We had a nice time today at J Dusi. Chandra our host was very chill, sweet and informative. The place is absolutely beautiful. The wines were good, with an emphasis on Zins and other reds. We enjoyed the ‘19 Zin and the Paper Street Zin and the ‘Don’ blend was very good, too.

2024-01-22 01:53:01The service was cold. We were surprised that the server did not talk about the wines in any detail. They spent more time talking to coworkers and other customers. Maybe towards the end it got friendlier after I tipped 20%, which I now regret. My husband and I wanted to do something special for my 31st bday so we decided on going to paso robles. We normally go wine tasting in los olivos so this was our first time in the area. We made a reservation beforehand and let them know we have our dog with us.We sat inside in the back. There were flies everywhere. Our server gave the bare minimum. We assume its cause we look young and Im asian, and they assumed that we wont spend a lot of money that we werent treated better. This is really sad cause we would spend more time at a tasting and we would purchase more bottles if the wine tasted good and if we were enjoying the service. Also every other winery and restaurant that we visited during our trip treated us warmly and impeccably except for J Dusi. The wines we tasted seemed like they were just opened and needed more time to breathe. Maybe it was our fault for coming in at 12 pm.The table next to us, the server, was super friendly and helpful. I also noticed our server spend more time at other tables. At one point, a fly got into my husbands wine, and we informed the server, and the server just took away the wine, and my husband didnt get to taste more of it. d, we were asked if we wanted to revisit or if we would like to try the zin port. It made it seem like we can only revisit a wine once or we can taste another wine once. We opted for the zin port. At many other wineries we have visited, you can revisit a number of wines and taste other bottles if they were open. This was not offered as an option to us.We were in and out of that place in 50 mins while other tables in there lasted longer. We purchased a bottle of the paper street mourvedre and the zin port. I even tipped 20%, which i shouldnt have. This place was recommended by a friend of ours, thats why we visited. However, we will not be coming back ever.

2022-07-09 22:01:44Terrific winery, on the level of Castoro which is my benchmark for the greater Paso Robles area. For example the quality of the Paper Street Zinfandel was every bit equal to a flagship Castoro Trentaquattro. 👍👍

2023-04-18 16:17:30Discovering J Dusi Winery, after having tasted at many places elsewhere, was a delight! The man pouring for us, was so friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! It was so great to discover a true, family-owned winery that was relaxed but classy - such a great vibe here. And the wines...are wonderful! We enjoyed sitting with a glass and enjoying the awesome deck/sitting area off the back, with peaceful and beautiful views. We wanted to just join one club this trip - and we chose J Dusi without hesitation. We would highly recommend!

2022-02-23 05:36:50What a zinfandel! Janelle stands with women winemakers like Zelma Long, Carol Shelton, and Phyllis Zouzounis in her ability to extract accurate, intense fruit from the zinfandel grape. Needless to say, our visit to J. Dusi was fun. Great people, beautiful wines.
