When you find a mechanic you can rely on, you stick with them. I have several aging vehicles and all of the have visited Jack Dane. I have never been pressured to have a service completed and they stand behind their work. My most recent trip in was for when my trunk would not latch. When they tested it, of course it worked. The tried several times to replicate the issue but it kept working each time. Mike stated they could replace the latch, but suggested we wait to see if it does it again. Jack Dane has earned my trust and I will continue to do business with them.

Couldn’t ask for more honest and helpful guys. Had an engine blow in my Focus. They wrote up a quote for a brand new crate motor, not a remanufactured one, and was still competitive with not only the dealership but other shops as well. I’m not saying it was cheap but you get what you pay for in a good way. Service was exceptional, their writer Mike is extremely professional and always had an answer for all my questions. Their techs had no issue with me asking for updates and pictures, unlike dealerships. All in all, the best way to describe my experience with them is honest, professional, helpful, and most importantly and hard to come by nowadays is their friendliness. Thanks again guys!

Mike at the Rocklin shop has been great to work with over the past year -- he was able to step up and diagnose/fix issues on our 2005 Dodge Minivan when the weasel dealers wont touch anything older than 10 years. If he cant get a new part, he knows who sells used ones. Highly recommend for anyone with vehicles out of warranty.

Ed was extremely professional and friendly. I told him Id just purchased a 20-year-old Camry and he did a thorough inspection on top of addressing the concerns that I had. After hearing a loud pop and losing brake pressure, I took my diesel truck to Jack Dane Auto Service, as they were recommended as one of the best mechanics in the Rocklin area. Mike greeted me in the office indicating it could take a couple of days. Mike also took the time to talk to me about other issues with my truck. I was visiting in Rocklin from Colfax for my granddaughter’s birthday party. It was close to 10 PM when we were going to head for home and I want to turn on the car and there was no power at all. I thought the battery died. I was trying to call through my insurance company to get a tow and whatever was needed but they had me on hold for a long time while they were helping somebody else! I decided to leave with other family members and came back on Monday! We decided to have it towed to a mechanic in Rocklin. They gave us three names of places, and I chose Jack Dane Auto Service in Rocklin. They just seemed like the best choice.I am glad I chose them because they were very kind and very helpful! I asked them what could be wrong with my car because we had the battery checked by Napa and they said nothing was wrong with it! They said we will definitely have to check it out because there’s a lot of different things that it could be! The shop was very tidy and very clean, and they were so kind it just seemed like I could really trust them! So that was pretty late in the afternoon and they told us they would check it all out and get back to us!So we went home and they called the next day letting me know what the problem was. It was the starter motor! They also sent me a list of other things that they checked out and could use attention, and they gave me pricing on everything also! And a lot of the things that they suggested they sent pictures they had taken to show me also, what was wrong. I had no idea my car needed all that attention. A couple things they had said had come to my attention in the past, but they said it could wait. It doesn’t surprise me because it is 22 years old but no one has ever told me that all those things needed attention! So I couldn’t afford to get everything done right away, but chose a few things! And they did quite a few things at no charge, even installing some new windshield wipers I had!So I was able to Google the prices they said and see if they were in a good price range& they were! I was totally happy And satisfied with everything they did! I think they are very honest, and I have been to a couple places in the past that we’re not so honest!I would recommend them to anyone who needs auto service! Especially women because most of the time women do not know very much about cars! And I thought it was great that they sent me pictures on the problems of some of them! And I could tell that those problems have been like that for quite a while!So if you would like to be treated like a valued customer and to feel that you can trust those repairing your vehicles, Jack Dane is the place to go! The service was a diagnostic for parasitic draw on my 2013 Dodge Ram 1500. They are very methodical and eliminated items functioning properly. I will be bringing my truck back for additional diagnostics as this service requires equipment and professional expertise.I selected this company over a dealer shop. I stopped by without an appointment to have my headlight bulbs replaced and Mike was able to get me in and replace both low beam and the high beam bulbs while I waited. I really appreciate the prompt service . They had me in and out in a timely manor and I was very pleased with the work that they performed. Quality service & fair prices.

This is a great shop. Mike, at the service desk, was friendly and informative. The car needed brake work and 100K mile service, which revealed other needed service. All of the problems were detailed with pictures and approval of repairs was easy online. Car was finished when promised and everything is working great. First time at Jack Danes, definitely will be back.

They always do a great job of explaining what maintenance needs to be performed, as well as any minor maintenance that could be put off until later. The dreadful Engine Check Light suddenly lite up my instrument panel shortly after I started driving. It was late at night so first thing the next morning I called Mike and he was able to get me right into the shop to begin figuring out what was needed.By midday I received a text that the issue was an open thermostat which prevented the engine from reaching the right temp.The problem was quickly diagnosed and solved with a new thermostat installed.Thanks to everyone at Great Dane as they got me quickly back on the road!Also, unlike some other dealers that put me on hold and forgot I was there, Mike picked up on the 2nd ring and took my call.

This place is charging double for parts and materials, and who know how much more for labor... My quote to replace a transmission pan on a 2014 Suburu Impreza was $647 and change. I called the Suburu dealership and the pan was $125 and the 8qtz of oil was $144. I got charged 180.62 for the pan and $233.60 for the oil 30-38% above Suburu. Plus $1251.95 for brakes, therefore we had it towed to another shop. Also they tried to hold our car hostage by saying they would void the transmission warranty if we towed it somewhere else. I would NOT recommend this place..

I highly recommend Jack Dane Auto Service! They did a great job repairing my 2013 Toyota Highlander after negligent maintenance by another auto service provider caused the car to break down on the freeway while my 16 year old son was driving. Mike was especially helpful. He was patient and kind and worked with me while I dealt with the fallout of what could have been a horrific accident. The repairs were completed in a timely fashion and as a Veteran I felt well taken care of by this Veteran owned business.

Mike was friendly and professional and took the time to explain the entire diagnostic on my truck including photos of the various findings. They werent able to fix the problem as it involved work that was still under warranty from another shop but I cant imagine how I could have been treated better. I will definitely use Jack Dane Auto in Rocklin as my first stop with any auto issues.

I was gratefully referred to Car Docs by a coworker when I lived in Sacramento. A few years ago I moved to Southern California but haven’t found a good mechanic there yet and I have to drive to Northern California several times a year so I choose to still use them for my maintenance. I can not rave about these guys enough. They are extremely qualified, always great work, always a fair price, and though they are always super busy they do what work needs to be done in record time. I’m so impressed and can only hope I could be so lucky finding a place this great where I live. I highly recommend Car Docs to anyone for any car maintenance. Had issues with my car AC. Took it to The Cars Docs and they diagnosed the issue within hours. It took an additional day to fix but they were totally willing to help me out with transportation. I cant say enough about how professional this business is. Excellent place to take your car for repairs especially if youre a Veteran))) all Veterans receive 10% discount whenever they bring their car to them. They fixed my car in a timely manner and it was very reasonably priced. I decided to have them do all kinds of repairs to my car because I intend on keeping it up nice and in good condition always. I recommend them to everybody. As far as Im concerned they are better than any shop Ive ever been to and I will continually take it back to them for repairs.

Brought my 2002 Jeep Wrangler in for a cylinder misfire. I was able to book appointment quickly. Tried other places and it was a two week wait. Got in on the first appointment requested. I think they do a very great job servicing my AC, Trans, alignment and oil change. Note they are not the cheapest. I wouldnt go here if you are looking for maintenance on your vehicle. Oil Change is 4 times the average. Transmission is twice the cost and labor is higher than standards.

The alternator in my sons car shorted out and his car died suddenly on the side of the road away from home. After an attempt to change it in the dark at near freezing temperatures and not being able to break the bolt free with hand tools that I had I gave up and limped the car to the nearest mechanic and just left the key in the night drop slot. Luckily the nearest mechanic happened to be Car Docs.They had the car ready by lunchtime, even though it was dropped off without an appointment. Communication was great, and the shop area that I saw was amazingly clean and organized. They even checked back with me about a week after the work was done to make sure that everything was still running well. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

The Car Docs have been taking care of my vehicles for several years and I am super excited that they have moved to larger and more convenient location in Rocklin. Scott, the owner and mechanic, is very professional, honest, and knowledgeable. Because of Scott I have been able to keep my Acura running great to 160K miles and my Toyota to 100K miles with minimal problems. These people are amazing and extremely knowledgeable of cars! Im from Utah and had 3 different mechanics look at my truck that had a vampire draw, thats what Utah people call it. Once I gave car docs a chance they figured out the draw in less than an hour! When I drive back to California, Ill definitely be getting a tune up from these guys and gal again!

Scott is AMAZING. He used to be located out of Orangevale and we followed him to this location. He is honest and makes everything pretty easy to understand even with my limited knowledge of cars. We take all our cars to him for tune ups and check engine lights. He works on a variety of different car types. Last time I was there he had a Corvette on lifts and my 02 Honda Civic and we were picking up my dads Toyota Sequoia. My whole family trusts Scott and you should too!

I have been to several mechanics in the Roseville/Rocklin area and thankfully found Scott at The Car Docs. The guy is great, he fixed the mistake and shotty work a different local shop did to my vehicle and charged a more than fair price. Highly recommend him. Moreover, he is a small local business owner trying to make it in a sea of shops who take no pride in their work nor care about their customers.

WOW !!! I am a truck driver living in Hawaii. So we fly over for a few months at a time to come trucking. Hence we bought a lill car. We brought it in for brake problems, an electrical and an oil change. We told Scott we didnt know when we need get back out with a load and once out we dont know when we will be back ... So making appt can be tough.Ah no problem he says... If problem is not fixed by time u leave we can keep it here !! When he heard the truck yard was nearby he even set up to bring our car back to the yard after it is fixed ...My goodness... He is going above and beyond to serve his customers...
