Surprised and disappointed. That sums up our latest experience at Jade China (June 16 2023).As in my previous review, we have been coming here since it first opened and noticed how many times ownership/management has changed... because the menu items we order never changed, but the service, dish presentation, and portions have.Today, we ordered the same... chicken wings, egg drop soup, and sweet sour pork (minus calamari).The server asked, Would you like the lunch portion or dinner portion?I know lunch is smaller-sized, so I picked it.To my surprise, the server placed ONE personal small bowl of the soup. A few minutes later, he came back with A PLATE of SWEET SOUR PORK WITH CHOW MEIN AND A SMALL SCOOP OF RICE.My jaws dropped to the floor.The items we ordered were mostly presented in a serving plate or bowl that can be shared. Besides, I DID NOT order a COMBO MEAL, I ordered A LA CARTE, so why were we served a cup-sized soup and a COMBO MEAL PLATE?????I did not complain. The sweet sour pork was SOGGY and room temperature - kind of obvious it was not freshly-cooked but more likely MICROWAVED. Again, I did not complain.WE WERE ALREADY DONE EATING when the APPETIZER CHICKEN WINGS was served. My husband only consumed ONE wing, and I also tried it... ONE wing. The chicken wings tasted OLD, and it was NOT prepared the way Jade China used to prepare it (CORN or TAPIOCA STARCH, NOT flour).That was it. I was done. We were done. This is not the same Jade China we used to enjoy.

Went for lunch specials. The Teriyaki chicken was an enormous serving, fresh and amazing! Lunch specials are a great deal!! Restaurant is clean, steady traffic but not overly busy. The chow mein was good, and overly oily! Liked the family owned atmosphere. Great menu selection, large portions and good deal. Food was fresh, not greasy and well prepared! Would definitely go again!

Great little place to get some authentic Chinese food. I had no idea this place was here until I walked passed it accidentally I only had a few minutes before my Uber driver showed up and my food was ready within enough time and tasted super fresh. Great place.

Had dinner here while killing some time before bowling at Bowlero up the street. When I saw the restaurant from Afar I thought we were going to just have some quick fast service Chinese food. This place ended up being a pretty nice but small Chinese sit down restaurant. The menu was pretty standard for a Chinese restaurant and H to all our favorite dishes. We ordered the War Wonton Soup, Orange Chicken, Pad Thai, Steamed White Rice, Sizzling Beef and Scallops, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. I would say all dishes were made well but overall in Flavor I wanted a bit more pop. Everything did have a clean flavor so maybe they left put the MSG, I know some dont prefer but give me all the MSGz. The Orange chicken was super crunchy same with the honey walnut shrimp. I prefer My Chinese food sauces sweeter and I think they hold back a bit so if you are looking for a lighter flavor overall this is a good spot. Average plate price was 12 to 16. The servers were super nice but forgot to fire my Pad Thai so we ended up taking that home. Not sure if I would come back personally but I think they have a certain flavor profile that some people look for!

We had the Teryaki Salmon and the House speciality Chow Mein. It was really good. The crab wantons were delicious also. They do delivery within 5-10 miles. They have a few beers, including Sapporo. Its delicious. I would go again.

Great delivery service! Very friendly. The food is really good too. Always get the shrimp chow mein soft noodles, cream cheese wontons. They are fast, good price and good portions. Enjoy!

I like the service that we received during our order. They are very busy on Saturday nights but they offered me hot tea while I waited.They don’t truly understand vegan or gluten free but after you tale to them, you find out that they don’t use fish in their sauces but they don’t offer gluten free sauces.You can make most dishes vegan by substituting tofu for any meat. I would recommend that you pre-order on the phone and then pickup your dish. You should also ask for less oil to be added to the stir fry if you’re watching your calories.

Was here recently and the service was extremely slow. We eventually had to pack the food to go because we had an appointment. No one was actively managing the dine in section when we were in, the attention was mostly on delivery orders. At one point we had to inquire about our rice and drinks (which still wound up incorrect) because it had been so severely delayed. The owner was apologetic and had a positive attitude, but it wasnt the best experience. I do enjoy the food, but I think they need at least one other person in the kitchen and another in the front just to handle the online/mobile orders.

So disappointing at the food here.Will not go back.Very expensive for little flavor. The chow main was almost all noodles, five tiny pieces of thin chicken.The honey walnut shrimp was so bland. Tasted of cornstarch.Fried rice had nothing in the rice. Just plain like steamed rice.Pass. Nothing like any other Chinese restaurant Ive been to that charges 16-17 bucks per dish. Panda is better.Sad. It used to be very good.

Everything was amazing, very flavorful and fresh. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, moo shu chicken (my toddlers favorite), sizzling pan fried noodle plate, and had a coupon for free egg rolls. Their protein to veggie ratio was great and they separated the noodles so they wouldn’t get soggy as well.To top that, I have NEVER had someone come back because they forgot something in my order but their delivery driver did! It was something I didn’t even realize I was missing (extra wraps) and he still took the time and effort to drive back and apologize.Excited to have found a great Chinese restaurant! Their delivery fee was also waaaaay better than doordash!

We were just passing through on our way to LA and stopped here for lunch. It was really good and a surprisingly good value too. The service was great and we left fat and happy! The egg drop soup was delicious and I had Mongolian lamb, it was spicy, but not overly so and had a great flavor. Ill be back next time Im passing through again.

I am a “saltaholic” yet thought their food was so outrageously salty that I could t taste much of anything else. Their steamed rice was really horrid the way they prepare it. Tasted like it had fish sauce and soy sauce in it. Their noodles were ok.

I went to Jada China Murrieta after work because I had to pick up my daughter after track practice and take her back to the school to watch a basketball game. The fried rice came with nothing in it. No egg, no green onions, no carrots, no peas and no flavor. It was undercooked. The orange shrimp was a small portion. I will not return. I paid my hour wage.

Tried Jade China for the first time on April 27. We ordered egg foo young and sweet and sour pork. I want to sat that each piece of pork was large, consistent in size, and the best pork I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. The egg foo young was good, too. We will definitely go back. Sweet Chinese lady made the effort to please.

Sorry but our whole dinner was awful! Mushy fried rice, chicken with vegetables had no taste. Noodles were over cooked. Even our crunchy noodles & fortune cookies were stale!!! I’m from the east coast where you can get really great Chinese food in most restaurants. I’m sorry I wasted my money.

I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and it was okay. We ordered water and recieved weird tasting tap water, but we did not complain. However, the food here is very overpriced for the average food they serve. The lunch special(1-4pm I believe) would be the best price for your money. I dined in and it was alright service. Everything about this restaurant was mediocre but Im glad I gave it a try. Definitely not my favorite Chinese food restaurant.

Ever since Peony’s sold in Murrieta, we have yet to find a decent Chinese food restaurant. The reviews for Jade China continue to prove to me that most people have a low standard in food. The food was not flavorful. It reminded me of an all you can eat quality of food.

I love this place. The staff is very kind, attentive and hard working. This place is also very popular so be sure to order during off-peak times. Inside is a little small but very clean and comfy, not enough room for big parties. The parking lot is part of a big plaza so no problems there.

My family has been to Jade China twice and ordered take-out twice. It was unanimous, we all loved it. The staff greets you the moment you walk in. The food is consistently great. The service is always wonderful. We especially like the hot napkins at the end, and the convenience of the server packaging all of the leftovers, and there is always leftovers.Jade China is our place for Chinese now.

Have eaten here a few times and always though it was pretty good for what it is. No real expectations of it being great but fast and cheap is what you want sometimes and it is both of those. Last time we ordered it all the sauces were watery and the orange chicken didnt have any citrus taste at all. One of the entrees were missing the sides and everything was soggy by the time it was delivered. The salt and pepper calamari tasted pretty good but would have been better if it were crispy. BBQ pork fried rice was pretty good but the Orange chicken, lo mein, dumplings, sweet and sour chicken and rice that comes as a side were all pretty terrible. May give it another try in the future but will not have it delivered again.

Love! We came in for the first time today on my girls (twins) 5th birthday. The servers were so wonderful! When they found out it was the girls birthday they asked if it would be ok to bring out a little treat, then brought out a couple rings and some fresh oranges and fried bananas! This is the first time I have reviewed a restaurant. The food here is usually very good. However the employees are physically incapable of adding a powered flavor to a milk tea. I convinced them to do it the last time I ordered here and this time they were extremely rude and refused to put banana flavoring in the milk tea. The first time I asked they said it wouldnt taste good and each time after they refused over a 8 year span. So much for the customer is always right. If they want to be petty about something like a drink flavor I can return the favor and not give them any more business after 8 years of being a loyal customer. This is the opposite of customer service and a pathetic way of running a business. I will be talking to the owner after I relax and can keep my composure.

I agree with the other 5-star reviews. The food here is excellent, and Julie makes great recommendations if youre undecided. Julies Beef is an original creation that I crave. Her chow fun and green beans are two more excellent dishes. I cant wait to try more. This is a very casual, fast food atmosphere, but it is not fast food. Im Chinese, American born, but no stranger to good, authentic Chinese food, and I love this place.

Tried this for out for our anniversary based on the other positive reviews. We tend to be pretty picky and am delighted to say we loved this place. The service was excellent. Very fast and friendly. The food was delicious. Tried the eggplant and tofu dish, chicken in garlic sauce, appetizer platter, thai tea... and it was all amazing.(Im sorry, but I have to giggle at the one star review below mine. 5 pretty good experiences, one bad and he doesnt bother to write a review until his 6th time when he had a sub par experience. This was my favourite Chinese restaurant! Last week on Friday I called in the order and picked it up. When I got home I couldn’t believe it the beef was in fat chunks with fat on it, the noodles we’re stuck together except for a large piece of dry egg, the rice was old, the meat in the noodles was all over the bottom of the container like now one even mixed it! Always a great place to go for lunch when Im at work. There are times when I will pick up dinner to take home from Jades. I love it and I recommend this restaurant to all. Yes, this is Authentic Chinese food.That is hard to say around here.Im form the Bay Area and theres always a place to go for Chinese food up there but in this valley its rare. But we did find this one along with Red Ginger. This is real Chinese food in Murreita, I can say this because I am Chinese.

Ive ordered from here a few times and the food was alright but nothing to recommend to anyone. I thought Id try it out this week and ordered shrimp fried rice and fried chicken dumplings. I get home and see that the fried rice isnt exactly what I ordered. I ignored the fact that it didnt have the extra spices I requested and proceeded to make a plate. While eating, I look down and see a piece of hair sticking out from the dumplings. I grabbed it to examine, and saw that it was short, blondish, and more course than typical human hair. When calling the restaurant, I spoke to the main guy and he questioned me as if I was lying. I demanded a new order of everything to be delivered. When the delivery guy finally came, he asked to see the hair. I told him that it didnt look like human hair and I didnt see anyone with blonde hair in the restaurant. He asked to take the hair to show his boss. Weirdly, I handed him the hair wrapped in the receipt. I would NEVER go there again...

Ive been here once before several years ago and I remembered it to be pretty decent. So I decided to buy their family combo to go and it came with 2x egg rolls, 2x wontons, and fried shrimp (one of which was burned and should have been thrown out). It also came with egg drop corn soup that was very bland that I had to doctor up with green onion, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Next, the worst part was the teriyaki chicken that was cut so thin it was extremely dry and just terrible quality. The shrimp lo mein was less flavorful then I would like but thankfully not dry. I dont think I will be coming back anytime soon to eat again, not worth 29.95 that is for sure.

It was OK, the mi Shu pork didnt have a proper plum sauce, it was too sweet. The egg rolls and won ton chips werent very fresh. The 3 ingredient king pao had potatoes instead of bamboo. Orange chicken didnt have an orange flavor to it, it was just sweet and not too fresh. Even the fortune cookie was stale! Sorry, next time Ill go to red ginger.

You see so many enthusiastic reviews of this place, so we tried it. Total was almost $90, for we had the food delivered. I am here to announce without a trace of a doubt that this place is not all that, and actually I am now convinced that the people (no chefs in the house, that is for sure) that made our food, do not eat it. They are way smarter than that. Following dishes were ordered:Egg Rolls, $3.95: yes, we know, everyone makes them. These ones were very narrow, and lacking enough filling. What appeared at first a good deal, was anything but. 1 Star.BBQ Sliced Pork, $5.95: an insult to decent BBQ pork. Old tasting, overcooked, smothered with enough of this deep unappetizing sauce that could almost double as light paint, stale meat that basically told us we had stepped into a culinary land mine. Try Sam Woos in Irvine to find out how it should be done, a total disappointment to any eater that knows the real deal. 1 Star.Salt and Pepper Calamari, $6.95: rings of calamari lightly battered and breaded, this plate had its merit, but cabbage overshadowed the calamari in quantity. Still, better than the two described before. 3 Stars.Wor Won Ton Soup, $6.50: one container, so if a large family side is desired one will have to dish out $13, which makes it quite expensive, compared, to lets say, Red Gingers. Some of the vegetables were past the point of no return, very mushy, but overall must be said that the broth was not saturated with sodium (a well known practice in lesser quality soups of this type), and the chicken was tender and the one or two shrimps (they are a little stingy perhaps, but trust me, they are not the only ones) made this well known soup quite enjoyable to the group. 3.5 Stars.Beef with Schezchuan Garlic Sauce, $9.25: covered in deep brown sauce, which part of it was black bean sauce for we would see the little indicators, vegetable overcooked, beef tender, but then again if there is one thing Chinese has mastered, is the art of tenderizing just about anything, no guarantee of quality beef, just tenderized. Gooey mess, was rejected by 50 % of eaters. 2 Stars.Lemon Chicken, $8.95: I think they got a frozen breast of chicken, defrosted it, and cooked it very badly and had the audacity of charging their price. Must say that the sauce (on the side) was the color of orange, not overly sweet and they did send a very generous container, and since it is paid for I will use this sauce on a fish I been trying to create. 2 Stars.Mandrian Shrimp, $12.95: I think it was a typo, and what they were thinking of saying was Mandarin Shrimp. Either way, the plate consisted of ridiculously small shrimp covered in the same type of batter that sometimes is used in Sweet and Sour Pork. Not crispy at all, fall apart wet, about 90 % batter or whatever their concoction was, and 10 % Shrimp. A fiasco of monumental proportions. 2 Stars.House Chow Mein, $7.95: think noodles with not enough of anything else, overly cooked, sticking together like putty, half of it went into the garbage disposal. Cheap mentality leads to cheap eating. 1 Star.One might be fooled that their prices are nicer than the competition, and they would be wrong for their servings are not what one would call average. Their quality of food makes them one place where only in light nightmare will be revisited. The after taste, and the joint effort to consume anti acid pills (better safe than sorry) leaves a lot to be desired. Basically good money went vamoose with absolutely zero satisfaction for the investment. Oh, but they do have their acolytes which sing them praises, but check this out, if this place is truly a 4 Star, then a really good Chinese place would have to be a 12 Star, and that is just not going to work. 2 Stars.

The first 5 times we ordered here.....decent, i mean it wasnt peonys or pf changs it was decent Chinese food, the only one that unfortunately delivers to my area, my last order was horrible, the food was cold, the veggies tasted like the were frozen and were not throughly cooked and the soup tasted like it has been sitting all day, my fiance has been sick the past 2 days sice we ordered as i believe she has food poisoning. We call to get a refund and get a promise to call back. The next time i try (2 days later) to get ahold of them, my phone keeps getting busy signal like they bloked my number (wow really) enough said........avoid this place like the plague

I would ask almost anyone I came across, where the best Chinese food place was. You know what those misguided fools told me? Red Ginger. I ordered take out from Red Ginger and was sorely disappointed.Go to Jades. The cook is the husband of the husband/wife owner team, and hes from China. The wife is from China. The dishes are authentic Chinese-style dishes from the province in China where hes from. The food is made-to-order, and pricier than youd ideally like to pay. Its also worth every penny.Julie (the wife part of the husband-wife team) recommended a dish after I said I wanted something spicy and not fried—her namesake, Julies Beef (I think). It was seasoned well, tender, spicy, and garlicky. It was served over a bed of fresh cabbage and blanched broccoli. Everything tasted fresh, and I ate the entire $9 dish by myself. Like a ravenous dog, I was—jealously guarding my food, wary of passers-by.I dont know if they use MSG, and I dont care. I dont care if they use angel wings and puppy tears. The food is good, Im wholly satisfied, and cant wait to go back for more.

Not to long ago Jades Chinese Cuisine had different owners and the food was horrible, since then Julie and Sam, formally from Golden Phoenix, bought the place and the food is the best Chinese food in Southern California. Im from New York and Ive eaten the best Chinese food on the planet and the new Jades Cuisine is by far one of the best Ive eaten at. How to start this... well i dont know where to honestly begin. There are to many good things to write about this place then i can imagine. Lets start off with me. I am a 17 year old Caucasian male. Now the meals there are made to order so you can get any dish they can serve if they have it which in my terms is a limitless playground for culinary experimenters The food like clockwork has taken less than 15 to 20 minutes to get to you while being cooked to perfection so in my opinion excellent wait times and when it is served it is a hearty portion of what you ordered so you know you are getting your moneys worth when you eat there. But the one thing i will applaud more than anything is the family welcome and air of friendliness. Almost as if you were best buds when you walk in that door you are practically family and then next time you go there after your first time you might even be surprised that she remembers you I know i was. Actually more like shocked but you get the point anyways I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH IF YOU HAVE HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE THAT IS NOT TRUE THAT WAS THE PREVIOUS OWNERS AND NOT THE NEW ONES.
