No MSG here. Each dish I ate had its own flavor and its own style. I did take out and it was still hot by the time I got home. This is the only place I found that puts vegetables in with their chicken chow fun yummy. Shout out to Susan from no green onions. Picture 1 is chicken chow fun, picture 2 is house fried rice, picture 3 is Kung Pao chicken.

My first time to dine in and ordered chicken chow mein. Food is not good, salty, oily and less chicken. The noodles are so hard to chew. They put more onions and beans. Dirty and unorganized place. Dirty tables and chair.. I don’t know how customers can stand this place.The tea cup is also dirty 😳 ughhhhh. Dont patronize this place.

We were looking for a new place and stumbled upon this place based on reviews. The food was delicious and the customer service was amazing. We talked and laughed with the owner/staff our entire meal. We will be dining there again.

Stopped by here on a craving for some soup. I was greeted right away, by Im guessing the owner who was very nice. Asking me how my day was & how he could help me. I got an order of the war wonton soup & fried wontons. It came out to be $14 for the entire order, I thought that was really good considering the soup was huge and there were at least 15 large fried wontons. The soup was delicious and not skimpy either, there was a ton of meat, shrimp & wontons. The fried wontons w ere perfect and came with a huge side of sauce. He was even packed me a tea bag, soy sauce & fortune cookies without me even asking. I would go here again.

I’m new to the area and tried a few Asian restaurants until I found Jade Palace, now I don’t go anywhere else. The service is great, and like a lot of small family owned restaurants the food is excellent. I highly recommend it!

I ordered food from here last Sunday and the owner was so freaking nice. He was so pleasant to interact and conversate with. Took good care of my food and it was delicious. My only suggestion is the sweet and sour chicken could use more flavor lol. Over than that amazing!

I have been a customer for at least 20 years, probably more. The food is consistently good! They are the only restraint I have found in the area to offer a choice of crispy or pan fried noodles for the chow mien. I grew up across the bay on crispy noodle chow mien so I was very happy to find Jade Palace. The staff is always friendly and efficient. If you dine in, they remember you when you next visit. I love the food.

Best food in town. Been in business for more than 40 years now. My favorite since childhood. Great place to call for catering too ! They always do an awesome job ! If you need a quick bite or a feast for your group Jade Palace is the place to go. You can even set up a weekly meal plan with them and just pick up on your way home. They deliver too ! Awesome !!

Love their wonton soup! Everything Ive had has been delicious! Fried prawns, every type of fried rice and chow mein are always really good. I love that the lemon sauce for their lemon chicken comes in a separate container when ordering to go so it is crispy and not soggy. The service is excellent and they are the nicest family. I love that everytime I go there I see people I know eating there too. Highly recommended!

Sorry to say this was not a great place. Rice was cold. Overall appearance of the restaurant was dirty. Would not recommend. The flavor was not good and very little serving of beef. The service was good the people were very nice. Low rating based on food quality and lack of cleanliness.

The food was good, but the customer service and the guys running were awesome. I had the best time drinking tea and watching the hockey game. Nice break after a long day at work. I recomend the place. Looking forward to going there again.

This place is Cantonese Comfort Food.The sons Jimmy and Phil run this place with superb sincerity and genuine love.Going to be back regularly, and the food is so affordable, it borders on a steal ! Been here 49 years apparently, so it is beloved fixture of Newark !

While working on a project at Newark Jr high a couple of summers ago I noticed thatJade Palace was still in business. As a teenager growing up in Union City in the early 80s I had heard of the excellent food and friendly family at the restaurant. I was not disappointed and always return when working in the area.

My family and I have been eating here for as long as I can remember. My godmother Susans family owns this restaurant and I grew up eating here all of the time and I just love their food. The prawns are my favorite!

Came from outta town. Checked yelp for closest Chinese food. It was2 miles away. I was staying at aloft. Thought Id grab something fast and easy. Walked in floor was sticky, thought No biggie, some of the best food comes from whole in the wall stripmall places. NOT HERE. FOOD WAS IN SO MUCH GREASE IT WAS A GREASE SOUP. CHICKEN WAS OLD AND REFRIED, BEEF WAS OLD AND NOT FRESH, VEGGIES WERE NOT CRISPY OR FRESH. I three the food away worried my family and I would get sick. I worked in a Chinese carryout in college. This was the WORST CHINESE EVER. TO NOT EAT HERE.

Has this place changed owner? Definately not like all the positive conment said. First sign, there was only one couple dining there. 2nd sign, vety limited mrnu. No fish on the menu. They are soooo cheap on ingredient. Ship dish may have 3 small shrimp

I have never seen a Chinese restaurant where Chinese people eat, so it goes without saying how good it is. I drive past this place every day. For many years, I have not seen Tang people go in to eat.
