I’m going to try and keep it simple and juicy. Went for brown stew chicken with rice and peas and the tropical pine ginger. Honestly this gave me pure memories a walk on memory lane. Literally I’ve been home sick and this food cured all dat. Ms. Lady Neva get your name but she’s patient informative and just give off a pleasant vibe big up eh cook too yuh nuh leff yard yuh bring it wid yuh !!!

Food is great, everyone is very friendly and the place is super clean. We got the curried goat and white meat jerk chicken plates with a side of brown stew chicken.Brown stew chicken is definitely the highlight and the other 2 were great as well. The spicy jerk chicken sauce isn’t very spicy, I would recommend that one over the mild. Oh, and they serve Ting!I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area.

The food was incredible! Full of flavor and both the jerk chicken and oxtail were tender and delicious. They have plantains which are a fav so definitely get those. The restaurant vibe is cool and parking was easy. We will 100% be back!

Hands down my favorite spot to eat in Vacaville! My island palate is more than satisfied after a meal at Jamrock. The owners are delightful and always open to small talk. They even cater!Be sure to go early and try the salt fish patties. I almost fell out of my seat after the first bite.

There wasnt a wide a variety of items to choose from and the dishes seemed a little pricey but there jerk chicken was good it wasnt dry and cooked just right although I found to be Similar to the rotisserie chicken you find at the supermarket. There were only two people working there at the time and the girl at the counter seemed a little inexperienced and wasnt familiar with dealing with customers and the whole restaurant was EXTREMELY HOT!

Holy moly! Sorry for not having an Instagram worthy photo, not a single negative thing to say! Tried this place out for restaurant week, jerk plate, ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings (breakfast), and sorrel drinks. This so stinking good, I wish I wouldve tried sooner!I held off because Im a bit reserved when it comes to new things that Im not used to, as are most people Im sure. Restaurant week gave me a no-excuse reason to try since the jerk plate is on a discount. Ive watched travel channel shows where I first saw the ackee and saltfish, never thinking I would have the chance to try it. Im glad I did!!! Please give them a try!!For those who arent sure Ill try my best to explain flavor profiles. So I usually do research on Google about the dishes and their ingredients to get a good idea of what Im about to dig into.Sorell drink. I LOVE hibiscus drinks, I always get a Jamaica when eating Mexican food. Sorrel is just that, like a Jamaica and apple cider had a baby. Its sweet and slightly tart at the beginning, floral hibiscus then the spices hit you, fresh ginger, clove, allspice flavors. Delicious!!Ackee and saltfish. Perfectly balanced, does a kick, about medium spice level. The fried dumplings that come with the breakfast are a must to sop up the juices at the bottom of the bowl! The flavor of the veggies are so good, tomato, onions, bell peppers. Ackee is super smooth, think like a custard creamy texture it totally melts in your mouth. Itself doesnt have much flavor so it picks up all the delicious flavors in the dish. I can understand why this dish is so popular, would totally buy this again with the dumplings for sure.Jerk chicken, meat isnt dry at all, beyond flavorful as is without the spicy sauce for those who are spice sensitive. The only spice here would be from black pepper. Can get the sauce on the side to try if youre unsure, mild sauce is so flavorful spice level is a little more like just under hot Cheetos or a mild salsa/nacho cheese. Little can go a long way if you are sensitive but the flavor is A++. We got a side of the spicy sauce which hubby says is a growing heat but pleasant.Overall, in excited to go back and try more later. Im hoping to see some plantains dishes on the menu or some national desserts to try. I did see at some point there was fruit cake, I assume it depends on seasons as it does with most small businesses. Please please go give them a try!! Get out of that comfort zone and try Jamrock!

Our meal was amazing! 3 of us had Jerk Chicken and 1 of us got Oxtails. Absolutely delicious, my mother, who got the Oxtail said it tasted just like the oxtail in Jamaica. The service was great. The food was hot and everything was very clean! Well definitely be returning.

This place does the best curried goat Ive tasted in California. Been to lots of Jamaican restaurants and they are ok but charge really high prices for a few pieces of meat. This place is reasonable in price and the quality and quantity you get is fantastic. Only do goat on Tuesday, Thursday and sunday. Will be coming back here again.

I am new to the area and wanted to eat some Jamaican food. The reviews for this place sent me there. I purchased oxtail, rice and peas with steamed vegetables, plantains. The rice could be steamed some more. However, because the food is so well seasoned and tasty this could be overlooked. Feels like I am in Jamaica eating my Sunday dinner. I give them a 5 star. I will be back. Awesome job guys. The place is also very clean with good parking.

Small hole in the wall with counter service and dine-in or takeout. Had the lunch special curry chicken and wife had jerk chicken. Both were so good and plenty filling. The patty hand pies looked very tempting as well. Highly recommend for a unique food experience

I ordered several items a la carte. Jerk chicken white meat spicy was delicious & tender, not dry at all. The spicy sauce was served on the side and not overly spicy, just the right amount of kick with good flavor. Brown stew chicken over rice was my favorite. I highly recommend it! Beef patty mild was also good. Plantains will be eaten with coffee at a later time. Service was very pleasant and place was very clean! Try it!

I have had almost everything on this menu it’s amazing. Good food and nice size portions. My favorite is the stew chicken plate and the curry patties. The hibiscus drink is bomb! Some days it’s stronger than others but that’s how I like it, the stronger the better😜

Starting eating here about a month ago. We try to go every Monday now. The food is outstanding! I order extra rice and patties to go for home for dinner!! I try to order something new from the menu every Monday. The jerk chicken is to die for! Im trying the stew next....The staff is is great! The restaurant is clean. Want to get away to the spice islands? I thought it would be boring food...POW! I could not believe my mouth, the flavors, so much variety every thing I tasted popped with deliciousness. You can get it Spicy or mild. The food and the music will sit you down at the Islands. I am craving this food all the time now. The pies are so good. Growing up in South London, Caribbean cuisine was a regular occurrence. Since moving to California its been hard to find anything that lives up to those memories. The goat curry with rice and peas here however are perfect. Succulent, tender and packed with flavour. I was sad that the meat patties sold out to the woman ahead of me as Id have loved to try them. Its a long way to drive but worth the trip.

Food was quite average, came in the afternoon and it was reheated chicken with rubbery skin, The rice was quite boring and didnt have much flavor as well. They offer spicy jerk sauce which helps livin up the food but without it there is not much going on here. The price for the portion size is also a bit high. the steamed veggies is actually a warm cabbage slaw which was not good at all. I came looking for spice and flavor and left missing the target

Authentic Jamaican cuisine with added vegetarian dishes on your way to SAC with no hassle. Its a minute off the highway.As a vegetarian I enjoyed the sweet and sour tofu dish with some veggie patties to go which were awesome. My kids look forward to having festivals, fried plantains and oxtail with Sorrel drink.My wife loves the oxtail, curry goat and jerk chicken dishes. We always have to take something to go. The price is good and the service is 5⭐. We look forward to head north from the valley.

Ive been looking forward to the opening of this restaurant.They are currently doing a soft opening, with limited menu items, & will be expanding the menu shortly.Today I enjoyed Oxtail. I am also really impressed with their extensive daily menu options for vegans as well. I had only believed I would have to go to Sacramento or the Bay Area to eat this type of flavorful dishes again. Authentic Jamaican and Vegetarian cuisines at a good price and quantity. The ambience is great, I look forward to when we can dine in this restaurant. Due to Covid, its only take out avaliable and I recently discovered that you can order online and pickup at the restaurant.Try the different Jamaican drinks such as Sorrel, Ting, Topical Rhythm, etc. I love the sweet and Sour tofu and the Oxtail. I almost forgot to mention that they have portions for kids too, so bring your entire family.

I have been going weekly for 6 weeks since I discovered Jamrock. Had jerked chicken years ago but THIS PLACE is amazing. Its so delish!! Get the HOT sauce for it does not burn, just more flavor with a little zing to it. Going tonight to get the Whole Fish plate. Cannot wait!
