The meat quality here beats any other all you can eat BBQ places Ive visited. Great to have this restaurant near my neighborhood. As a Korean, I highly recommend trying their spicy miso stew. Its incredibly homey and delicious. Their steamed egg is a must-order. I dont recommend soon tofu, which is a bit too healthy-tasting for my preference. Definitely give their fried calamari and popcorn chicken a try.

The food is good. We often go there for the Korean Bibimbap. But the service was bad, they didnt bring the drink or add any water until we called the staff to cancel it. At that time, we nearly finished our food•••and the staff was playing her phone behind a pillar, forgot our drinks. So, no tips.

Food was pretty good. I was surprised when they gave a fork and spoon, since most places only give you chopsticks. Prices are reasonable, and the side dishes have good flavor. The beef belly and top sir loin were too gamey and tough for my taste but the seasons short rib was amazing. The fat really broke down and turned it into a slow drip. I will be back!

Excellent all you can eat Korean bbq. As someone who is a Korean speaker and lived in Korea when I was younger I can say everything was legit. Great quality meats and delicious fresh kimchi. Great price for the all you can eat. Make sure to ask for the Samjang sauce to dip your meats in. 😊

Our local Korean BBQ in Thousand Oaks. Pretty good value for the money. Kids love it. Meat cuts are really good! Only once in many visits did I have chewy rib eye. We are regulars.

I was with 3 friends and one of them is vegetarian. All of us wanted to order from the all you can eat menu, but since she was going to order from the already set plates they didn’t allow us. We told she was a vegetarian and it didn’t make any sense for her to pay for the all you can eat. they literally said that if she ordered the plate none of us could do the all you can eat. so we literally had to leave the restaurant because no one cares enough to help us out and figure it out a way to work things good. a restaurant that only cares about the $$$ and not the satisfaction of their costumers. I was a frequent costumer here, like I said WAS. never coming back, my friend felt judged by being a vegetarian and she was not allowed to eat.

The food is really good! It is a fun place to go with family and friends, especially in the night. There are two menus you can choose from. One of them is the precooked, you order and they cook it for you and bring it out. The second menu is where you order meat and you can cook it on the table.

I got the Galbi which was served with rice and the side dishes. It was very good and the meat was fantastic, but I wish they would have more options for the side dishes as they do in other Korean restaurants. They have bean sprouts and radish in two varieties but Im used to seeing a wider variety. Aside from that, service was fine and the other members of my group were happy with their meals.

DO NOT EAT Food at this place! My recent visit to this restaurant near Paddington station was extremely disappointing on multiple fronts. £5 of ADDITIONAL HIDDEN CHARGE per person and 12.5% of FORCED TIP is automatically added to the overall price.ALSO, VERY DIRTY kitchen and tables. I used a desposable chapstick because their tableware was too dirty. Not only was the place lacking in cleanliness and offered small portions for the £25 price per plate without offering rice, but I also encountered issues with unclean cutlery and tableware. Also, our table was right next to disgusting toilet inside showing its really toilet...the door was open all the time during my dinner.This restaurant seems to cater more to new tourists than locals; local customers rarely go here. If you want to make the most of your London visit, Id recommend avoiding this place. You can get a much more satisfying meal for £5 at the nearby fast-food restaurant. If you want to go Korean restaurant, go to other places near Soho.

The reason for the one star is their practice of bringing out WAY more than your party can eat in one sitting so they can get that $10 charge additional per person.This place loves their little charges. Dining alone? That will cost you an extra $5 over their normal price.I wont be returning. Not because of food, which was delicious, or even the upcharges that were CLEARLY stated. But because they employ shady tactics to get those upcharges.

I ordered the lunch bulgogi, it was tasty! I’ve had my fair share of bulgogi and nothing stood out as extraordinary but it was good. Side dishes for me are sub par, I’m used to other Korean restaurants with more selections like pickled cucumber, fish cake, potato salad etc. I only saw one server in the entire restaurant and tables were spread out, so service wasn’t the best. Not one time did she come by to see if everything was OK.

It is a cool nice place but everything I ordered was nasty from all the sauces I asked for to add from and just the salt and pepper they had. I have been to Gen and other kbbq and this is the only place I only had 1 round and trying to eat the food so I didn’t have to pay. I wish I would have enjoyed it but I was disappointed what I paid for and still had to stop to get food after.

My wife loves Korean BBQ. We wanted to try a new spot but this was not it. In general, the portions were small, the options are a fraction of what other locations offer, but the worst part was that the food was severely lacking in flavor. For KBBQ veterans, you should know there is no rice paper, radish paper, ttokbokki, KFC, and only 3 side dishes. The pinnacle of the dull experience was when we ordered the vegetables and they brought out an awkward plate with 6 pieces of random veggies, at this point we couldnt help but giggle as I jokingly suggested we rock, paper, scissor for the piece of asparagus. I will say, the service was exceptional with waiters checking on us continuously. If you want to stay in T.O. this could pass as a decent experience, otherwise do yourself a favor and drive 30-45 minutes for a more authentic experience.

My first time at this restaurant. It was a little pricey compared to other Korean BBQ restaurants and the selection of options was honestly mediocre. The meat choices are alright, actually marinated really well, the miso pork belly is bomb!! But the side dishes are lacking. Im used to Korean BBQ having japchae noodles, cheese corn, fried rice dishes, etc. They have some soups and white rice and some appetizers. The banchan selection is also honestly weak. Would come back, but its just not my top choice.

Has Janchi changed ownership? We usually have a good experience here, but this evening was totally different. There was chaos among the service staff, only 2 types of banchan being offered, the meats are lesser cuts and the staff either bombards you or ignores you. Such a shame. This used to be a great KBBQ place. Way too expensive now for such a lackluster meal.

If you like bulgogi why not get all you can eat bulgogi plus great Korean side dishes here. Cook the meat right at your table. Ask for more than one set of tongs to cook it together. Consistently good especially if you’re really really hungry. I also like the steamed egg and the salad dressing. They bring you a huge side salad.

We were finally close enough to try this place and decided to drive a little more out of our way to give it a shot. There isn’t much for Korean food around the Ventura area, but we wouldn’t drive the further distance again to come back here.We ordered the spicy tofu soup (similar to soondubu jiggae), dumplings, and calamari as appetizers while waiting for our meats. The dumplings and calamari were both a little oily and unremarkable, also served with some sort of ranch aioli for some reason. The soup tasted like a very watered down version of soondubu jiggae and you could tell by how watered down the broth looked, which also included mushrooms. The bonchon provided was ginger, beansprouts, kimchi, and some sort of soy-jalapeño-onion sauce.We had several meats (ribeye, prime sirloin, boneless short rib, beef belly, beef bulgolgi, red pepper pork belly) and they weren’t very flavorful compared to other KBBQ we’ve had with the exception of the red pepper pork belly. The plus however is that they were served pretty fast. We asked if there were any dipping sauces to eat the meats with (specifically sesame oil or gochujang) and were brought a sesame oil dish as well as a cup of soy sauce, some sort of red sweet sauce, and another aioli. Just not very authentic Korean. Along with these, they did bring us a mixed green salad with a ginger dressing that was good.The place was clean and in a nice area though!

The service here for weekday lunch is top notch. September 2022, there was a lovely and friendly Latina woman who was our waitress. She was on it, checked in on us quite often, and made some suggestions off the menu to try.Its your typical Korean barbecue place, where you cook the meat yourself on a grill.I have to say that this is one of the rare places where their Grill actually pulls the smoke back into itself. So its not a smokey restaurant like most of the Korean barbecue places are.For the price, its a great value. You want the best deal? Go for lunch, and get the lunch price!Its a tradeoff though... they keep their prices low by having a limited menu. So if you want to spend the extra money and go all out to have more choices, you have to pay the extra dollars and get the dinner priced stuff.Parking situation: There is tons of parking available for free in the surrounding lot.Notes:1. For what this place is, in the area that its in, its definitely worth it. Otherwise, youd have to spend all that money and gas, and sit in traffic to go to the San Fernando valley, or down to Koreatown in downtown LA.2. With the exception of a few items on the menu (the fatty Bulgogi), most of the meat that you will order comes without any seasoning. If you want to enhance the flavor, ask your server for some salt, and sprinkle it on during the cooking process.3. Speaking of bulgogi, I think its one of the best things on the menu at any Korean barbecue place in general. It comes marinated, and the extra fat helps to keep the meat juicy and tender.In summary, this is a great place to bring family to, or out of town visitors. Its a different experience then your typical sit-down restaurant. The flavor profile at most Korean BBQ places is usually sweet with the little hint of sour. So if youre into that kind of thing, give this place a try.

In terms of kbbq restaurants this place has really good service. They were very attentive and kind. The food was blander than some kbbq places Ive been to and the serving sizes of each order were pretty small. It was all you could eat, so it wasnt a huge deal, but the amount given per order was pretty difficult to split between 3 people. It was still a nice atmosphere and was a great backdrop to talk with friends.

Their extra all you can eat doesnt add much, but if you like something on the menu, go for it. It all tastes amazing. I overcooked the spicy calamari, but it was still a treat. I gave the service a 4 star review because the ordering to getting the raw meat at your table was a little slow for Raw meat. Not like there was much preparing that should be going into that last minute. But overall a great experience.

My favorite food in the world is Korean BBQ! I eaten at at least 30 Korean BBQ restaurants. The food here was just ok. It could be much better if they offered more marinated or salted meats. Quite a few options didnt have any seasoning at all. Very bland. If they simply added salts, marinades, or sauce on the table it would be much much better.Otherwise the atmosphere is good and the marinated meats are quite good.Just a minor tweak and this place would be 5 stars!

Took my mom here last weekend for her first Korean BBQ and we could not have enjoyed the experience more. The miso soup was delicious. This restaurant has only gotten worse and worse over the years. They only stay in business because its the only Korean bar b cue in thousand oaks. In past years, the portions of meat served was small and you had to keep asking for more meat everytime. Now, the portions of meat are still small and the quality of meat is much worse. Tasteless and pulverized globs of meat. AWFUL! You would do better driving to Korean Town in los angeles. And the burner of our grill only worked on one side so we had to pile the meat to that side.

All You Can Eat is a really great deal, it includes appetizers as well as meats and rice for under $30. I went last night and it was moderately busy and very understaffed but it was still a good experience, cant wait to go back again. Really good kimchi! And I dont know if she was the manager or owner, but the lady that seemed in charge was very sweet. If you go and it takes a while to get seated or something, its worth the wait.

Pretty dissappointed in their pricing structure, they are more expensive than most Korean BBQ which is ok until you find out Galbi is an extra $5 and limited 1 per customer on their premium menu selection. Most places include Galbi so considering this it is about 30% more expensive than the better Korean BBQ 20 miles up the road. Food is still good and if youre craving Korean BBQ it will get the job done.

Brought family to this place many times. Today is the last. Normally pay for premium for my young kids and they end up only eating giyoza or steam egg. Today I told the waiter how my kids eat. Waiter said youre good. Awesome! Until the waiter came back, mid-meal and said sorry, the manager saw your kids eating and youll be charged full price. (Note: They didnt touch any meat. They dont like it.) So I asked, are what? Waiter stated I know. Was the wifes birthday, so I didnt make a scene. Finished eating, and told them this was the last time wed eat there. My suggestion would be to get anything spicy or marinated, especially the spicy pork. The flavor of the marinated meats is way elevated above the meats that arent. Overall great place to go with an appetite for flavorful meat!

We ordered, half the food never came had to keep asking, flies galore (5 flies were in my sons beer), came home major stomach issues and headaches- we suspect they used msg. Waitstaff was just ok, not too busy so can’t even give an excuse or justification. Uggh such a bummer as I liked this place. But COVID much have given them a reason to cut corners. Just be aware.

I really wanted to rate this place higher. The meats are high quality and the veggies are fresh. However, they do not give you a raw and a cooked tongs or scissors. It makes for a cross contamination situation. Stay aware. Other than that, food was really good. Give them a try.Update: Had to take off a star because guess what happened? Myself and another person in my party had...can you guess? Yup, severe tummy troubles the next morning. So until they can get some better training for staff on proper food handling techniques and separate utensils for raw and cooked, this place is a no go for me.

Amazing Korean BBQ. My brother-in-law is Korean and he gives it his stamp of approval. He is quite picky too. They have a great banchan selection. Banchan is the unlimited side dishes. If youve never been to Korean BBQ, this place is a must try. I only had Korean BBQ about 5 years ago and Im hooked!! This place is amazing, especially with the all you can eat for 2 hours special.

Its a very long wait while there are tables open, so Im not sure if its a staffing issue or what is going on but have gone in past prime dinner time, around 8:30 multiple occasions and still had to wait about 30-45 minutes with tables open. Great place if you are hankering for some meat eatin. Having just done Grasslands American style AYCE BBQ, Janchi is competitive in every way. You control how done your meat is to your exact liking and take it off the grill and eat it. Hot off the grill. Competent menu and every bit up to snuff when comparing to Gen with the variety as well as quality. One slight nitpick would be the lack of Japchae on the AYCE menu. It is a kid friendly Korean stable that is not offering it is a missed opportunity. It is all carbs and no protein. A good filler that would complete the KBBQ experience. But then again, not taking a star off as meat eaters. We are there for the meat. And quality and bountiful they are at Janchi. Very glad that it made its way in Thousand Oaks. We need more authentic foreign crusines this side of the valley. Janchi is representing Korean BBQ food very well!
