Great mom and pop shop sushi house! The flaming dragon was recommended, and I honestly didnt expect it to be. Truly, flaming! Nice presentation and it delivered the flavors as well! I also ordered the seafood tofu soup and green tea, which came in a huge mug! If Im in the area again, Ill definitely be back!!

My friends recommended this place as they’ve been here a few times. Small and basic Korean restaurant. I ordered the soondubu and my friends ordered some sushi and bibimbap. Food overall is good for what it is. I am taking a star off because the waitress mentioned that their menus that they gave us had incorrect prices so when we got our bill each of our dishes were at least $2 more. I also think that it may not legally be allowed since you’re getting charged more than the listed price on the menu but hey, I’m not a lawyer 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pretty small Korean menu, but what there is is on point! We got the combo Tofu soup (which wasnt spicy at all, so you have to specify spice!), spicy pork bulgolgi (really tasty, but also almost no spice, so adjust if you need!), and we got the crazy bomb which was jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and crab (tasty but very salty/saucy).Have fun eating here!

Only good things to say here. Excellent food and service. Not too busy for a Saturday evening. Try the tofu soup and spicy beef ramen soup. Tuna sashimi is also delicious. I recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

SO glad this place is finally open, Ive been driving by for weeks waiting for it. The wait was completely worth it, the food and service are impeccable. The layout is just right for the size of the building. I was also impressed with all of the interior modifications that have been done since the last tennant. All the furnishings, prep area and sushi counter look brand new and well chosen. The beer selection is much more than I expected with plenty of Japanese staples as well as a few unexpected but welcome additions. Since it was my first trip I ordered the Spiderman roll (soft shell crab and cucumber) it was fantastic and the soft shell crab was done just right. I also ordered a chicken katsu bento box which was also wonderfully executed. As a certified sushi nut I cant tell you how excited I am to add another great sushi bar to my repertoire!

I have only visited the restaurant one time so far. It was very good. We had both Japanese and Korean items from the menu. It was all really good. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. The restaurant was on the smaller size but I like the feel and vibe of smaller ethnic restaurants. I will definitely be back.

They have pretty good food but the customer service is absolutely terrible. Me and my family were seated first but another table that was seated after us (30 mins) received their food first. We had also ordered the same items but again theirs came first. The waiter had the nerve to tell us that she was sorry for the wait and the back log but again proceeded to serve the table that came after us, which who also possessed the same number of guests as well. At the end of the day the wait and lack of customer service is not worth the food.

NEVER GO HERE. Pictures are misleading. We thought the food portions were large, but they are extremely small and expensive. We ordered 3 rolls and a 3 bento boxes for 4 people and we all left HUNGRY while paying 160$. The food was average for the price and the sauces on all the rolls make them taste the same. I could have went to a fancy restaurant and paid less and left with a full belly. There was limited seating outside with flies trying to take the small amount of food they give you. I guess we should have expected this with their large menu, but their reviews were good, so we gave it a try. These reviews are a joke never eat here. Worst restaurant Ive been to.

In my opinion, this is the best sushi in Elk Grove. That is just speaking on the fish and rice. I usually eat nigiri sushi, so I cannot speak on other parts of the menu. The fish is fresh and the right temperature. The rice has good texture and flavor. The service here is great and it is always a nice welcoming atmosphere.

This is a wonderful little restaurant! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious! We had Spicy Chicken Bulgogi, which was delicious and plentiful, and sushi rolls from the extensive menu. The Fire Dragon roll is wrapped in foil in a dragon shape, and flamed at the table! It was so good I would like to return tomorrow for another one! The seats were mostly filled on a Thursday evening, and it is easy to understand why!

First time checking this spot out. Good customer service, food, and cleanliness. Great combination on the menu, loving Sushi and Korean food. Only advice is have some photos (doesnt have to be a lot, just feature or recommended dishes) on the menu so when new customers arent sure what to get they can see it. This is a small shop so if you come when they are busy then have some patience with the staff, they will take care of you. Sushi are good here too, along with other korean dishes that I had.

The service staff were impeccable with their care of our needs. The server we had was highly personable and got all of our party of 13s orders right the first time. Then the food was served in a timely manner, with it being absolutely delicious for everyone. I would highly recommend that anyone go here for a great bite to eat.

We stumbled across this little restaurant in Elk Grove and loved it. We have been back a couple of times since. We have always had great friendly, personal service and delicious food. We particularly like the vegetarian rice bowls. I dont remember the name on the menu but the rice and veggies are served in hot stone bowls that brown the rice. It is always fresh and tastes awesome.

This was the first time that Ive been to this particular restaurant. Went over there with my neighbors. The place was nice and clean. The service was impeccable. The waitress that helped us was prompt, courteous and helpful as we told her that this was the first time that we had been there. The food came in promptly and the presentation was great. Husband had a rare Tuesday off so he and I went for lunch. We were actually going to a different restaurant in the area but it was closed Tuesday go figure. We popped in and had some apps, we had the crab salad stuffed jalepenos which were really good! The sushi we got was also very good. We got a ramen bowl to share which I still think about it was so good and spicy! Our waiter was the real hit though! He was so nice and had good recommendations. We chatted about a controversial commercial he was just very personable. We will definitely return for some of the Korean items we didnt try and the great customer service!

Only complaint is they charge extra for things other sushi restaurants dont such as sliced lemons and small sides of sauce. We were told that there is no tap water, we would have to buy a bottled water. So if you don’t have running water, why are you open and serving food?? Way too overpriced anyways. Tasted fine, but nothing great. Side dishes were minimal and rice was a little dry. Won’t be back. I’m too concerned about the fact that they can’t serve people the tap water but somehow they are still open. Maybe the health department should check things out…

I love Korean and Japanese food and so this is my favorite place to go when I want both. I dont have to compromise on either now. Their food is great. The only downside to this place is how small it is. Definitely try to avoid dinner because they get super busy and their dining area is small. I hope they expand to a bigger location.

Food is good! Typical sushi. but why do they charge 0.75$ for schricha sauce? We spend 50$ on our meal should be included. This isnt mc Donalds where they charge you for every little sauce. They have ok service and you have to eat outside. I had to ask for wasabi a couple times before l got it.

My boyfriend and I try this place last Saturday but unfortunately we werent wowed by the experience. I felt the fish in my sushi order was on the chintzy side. The Korean BBQ portion of our meal wasnt impressive either. It really didnt seem authentic. Im used to Korean BBQ houses where you cook your own food and they serve pickled vegetables on the side. Overall this place felt like a knockoff. Weve learned our lesson: its not wise to trust a place that serves two different types of cuisines. Pick a sushi bar or pick Korean barbecue, not one that claims to serve both. The service was decent enough so that was on the plus side of things. There are too many other places to try and we probably wont be back.

Small little restaurant. Went in as a group of 7. Tables are pretty close together and we were not the only big group. It was pretty busy that night. Ordered 3 rolls, but only got 2. One was great, I think it was the ninja roll. The other was ok and that was the torched roll with scallop. Service was a slow after we got our food order in, but still got at least one refill of our drinks. Took way too long to get our checks and had to ask them to remove a roll from our check, which they did. I would come again, but not as a bigger group. Id like to try their korean dishes.

New to the EG area, hit up Jang Goon for lunch (2 adults, 1 kid). We originally ordered a Junior sashimi plate (9 cuts), Fireball chefs special, and Five Star maki roll, then some miso and a spice tuna roll. Service was friendly and attentive, the sushi bar was fairly slow but it was busy and they only had one chef. Very pleased with FB and FS, the plate and miso and ST were all delicious but standard.
