This place is phenomenal. Amazing service and top quality fish for their dishes. Im a stickler for the amount of food I get for the price, and I was NOT disappointed. I left feeling like my stomach was about to burst and felt I got more than my moneys worth, which is very hard to say for many restaurants during the inflation. Simply a must go to location if you love sushi!

Came here for dinner with the family. Good sushi, the salmon was especially good when I was there. They also have many non-sushi dishes which are also good. They have pretty substantial portions and staff are friendly, but also very busy. The ambiance is nice. We always consider Jang Soo when we are deciding where to eat out.

It has lost its title being the only Korean sushi experience. From being known as the freshest Korean style sushi serving halibut sashimi paired with overwhelming side dishes, it was a must go, must try place. It still has the concept but the yesteryears are gone.

My husband and I went there for a quick lunch, they follow any sanitary rule posible, they even wrap our chopsticks and napkins in an individual plastic bag, sanitizer on their outside tables and fresh water, i was amazed by the service, they greet us with some miso soup, tofu and edemame, the rolls were absolutely delicious, im very picky and I certainly had no expectations but oh my, I hardly recommend the rainbow roll and their volcano! Prices are the same as any other sushi place that offers Quality food and service i will definitely go back again!

This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit many restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very receptive and the cuisine they place on your table is so appetizing. I never decline to have a nice meal here. I highly recommend this place.

The sushi sashimi combo was great. Ordered the large and it fed 5 of us.Came with porridge, oyster shots, korean pancakes, corn cheese, salad, tempura with shrimp, egg steam, sea urchin, sea squirt, salmon collar grilled, California roll, tempura roll, live halibut sashimi, yellow tail, salmon, tuna, red snapper, mackerel, and etc side dishes.To top it all off, at the end, a spicy seafood soup with your choice of cooked burnt rice soften in water or rice.$210. Included the tip. Not to shabby....Yummy . . .P.s. Try the assorted (haedupbop)sashimi spicy rice bowl.Hella good......

Hate to say this but I go there because my mother n mother in law likes it here but would not be my first choice for Japanese food. But its one of very few korean Japanese restaurant around here. As long as you stay away from sashimi or sushi its safe. Remember that it is my opinion only.

The fresh sushi here is on par with most similar style sushi restaurants scattered all over OC. Their mixed sushi rice bowl is better than most. They also have the typical sushi rolls found at most places. Same with the price. Nothing extra to draw you in week after week.

My mom, who doesnt even like sushi, enjoyed this place.We ordered the las vegas roll, a bento box with beef, and another roll (rainbow I think?).The bento box was disappointing (I just wasnt digging the flavor), but it very generously came with a ton of side dishes, sashimi, rice, beef, and tempura veggies.We all got some miso soup as well (it comes with the meal--yum).The sushi was to die for. Crispy and delicious, and very fresh. I was tempted to order more, but was simply too full. The only downfall is their lack of happy hour but that really is it. Came here last year with coworkers when I was visiting town. The service was mediocre but the food was decent so I decided to visit again for the crave of Korean style fresh sashimi alone this time.From the moment of ordering, it wasn’t friendly at all and they didn’t mention anything about the food being a lot. (Ordered sashimi combo/course “mini” for $95)As I proceeded with the meal, I started notifying that the server was skipping some dishes. I had to ask for those dishes and every time they asked if I want it. For example, they skipped the tempura, grilled fish, corn cheese and almost the spicy soup at the end. They noticeably asked other tables whether they want the soup because the kitchen is closing soon except me. So I waited till she came by. Not to mention that she hardly came by or anything. I had to call her and asked if there will be soup coming out at the end. Then she had an audacity to ask me “oh, you want the soup too?” Jesus. I cannot believe this kind of service. Also she never checked on me and I had to ask for water. And yes, you guessed it. She was sooooo fast to come and get the check in and out even before I started to gathering myself lolIt was a lot of food but they didn’t even bother to ask if I want smaller size or even want to skip. They just decided to try to fool me. There are plenty of other Korean sashimi places. Please save your dime for this disrespectful and dishonest business.Its been a long time since I received such poor treatment while eating a meal that costs close to $100.Last year, when I went with local co-workers, the staff service wasnt great, but the food was pretty good, so this time, I drove all the way from another town to eat the sashimi combo mini while on a business trip. Perhaps because I came alone, they left out the sukidashi. If thats the case, then why did you write the explanation on the combo like that? Why do I have to ask for everything separately when Im paying for it with my own money? Its unpleasant. I went there with high expectations, but was disappointed. I think it would have been better if they had asked me in advance if I wanted to omit some of the sukidashi, as it was too much to eat alone, or if they had given me an alternative to substituting smaller portions for each course. I asked for some of the fried food that didnt come out, but they said it tasted like they had re-fried the old food. They didnt even check to see if I needed anything and just threw the food away. Even if I intentionally gave them an empty cup to fill it with water, they didnt fill it. I think you need to give a lot of consideration in terms of service.

Its been a long time since I went out to eat with the giants. The sashimi was fresh and the food was clean, so I thought it would be good for the price, so I drove for 40 minutes and went with high expectations.I had been looking forward to eating sashimi for the first time in a while, but that evening, my family all went to the bathroom with stomachaches. Was the sashimi less fresh?? Im not sure why, but the initial expectations and trust in the reviews were broken. I dont want to go there again.
