Jantz Cafe & Bakery in Merced

Visited this place for breakfast. We waited 20 minutes, then I decided to walk around the cafe and found that they had free tables and not one. The table at which we were seated later was exactly the free one that I had seen before. They do not have enough staff, the waiters are busy, and you have to wait a long time. The interior is beautiful, lots of light in the room. Owners should consider hiring more staff because the place is quite popular even on weekdays. The table we sat at was dirty. The coffee latte had a strong burnt taste. The food is not very tasty. The pie was delicious. I was surprised that you have to pay for the sauce for a burrito, how can you eat a burrito without sauce at all? Breakfast tacos looked like a mess. Prices are above average and not justified for me. Don’t recommendSam who replied to my review. We did not change seats on our own, but asked your staff to help us with the table! And it was your staff that gave us that seat. And if they gave us a different table, they should have wiped down the table and made sure it was clean. Instead of responding normally, you joke around and look for excuses

I absolutely love this place. I like to get the biscuits and gravey but my favorite thing Is to get and take home with Me is A bag of the blackberry and cream coffee. This is the best coffee that I have ever had and believe me I love coffee. I love the atmosphere while coming in to Jantz. Just The smell alone is amazing. They have all kinds of different pies and snacks and treats so you Have many choices to choose from and you will never get bored. The employees are always very nice and welcoming. I love how modest they are and how it really sets the atmosphere for family. Everything is made fresh with high quality ingredients and it shows. They also have a lot of gluten free items which is important for people with certain health issues. Have plenty of seating on the outside patio for those beautiful days. Theres a lot of parking and this is easy to find. I would highly recommend this place to anyone on the looking for a great quality breakfast your lunch. I believe they also start early about 6:30 or Seven and they also do catering. Go to Jantz check it out.

Theyve got good coffee and breakfast sandwiches. The staff was very friendly. The place was busy when we went there in the morning. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There is plenty of parking as well. It was one of the few places that was open early in the morning.

Caden was a great server. The food came out quick, was super good, and large portions! The Milky Way coffee was great too. 10/10

The legendary Jantz! I’ve heard so many good things about this place. Well, their business as a whole. I was not disappointed. We walked in, had to patiently wait to be seated. A lady in charge came up and told our hostess that we could dine on the patio. It was cold. I mentioned so, and they were kind enough to turn on the outside warmers. Very nice. The ladies here are beyond polite, professional, and they know what they’re doin! I let her, the lady in charge, decide my plates. She was great at picking and choosing as I can be very indecisive. I went with the French toast combo. That and a slice of heath bar cheesecake for the road. I think between myself, my wife and the cake, it was about $40. We will be back!

Jantz is a well know restaurant/bakery here in Merced. They offer a range of baked goods and a good selection of gluten free options that I trust to be gluten free. I have purchased items for individuals with celiac disease.For this visit, I stopped in for a full size French silk pie, which is also offered in a mini size (gluten free). The pie was deliciously decadent and smooth. The crust was even in thickness and had the classic crispness of a good pie crust. The pie had a hefty amount of filling and is not overly rich. The family loved it.

Always wonderful, quick staff. Really yummy food. I like the cinnamon bread French toast.

Looking for a delicious breakfast in Merced? Look no further. Located in a medical plaza Jantz totally fits in. Its beautiful from the outside and on the inside. The decor is modern and homey at the same time. The staff is super friendly and are very welcoming and accommodating. Now the food! OMG! Theres so much to choose from, its all made from scratch. I was with a picky eater. He ordered the pancake combo, two pancakes, bacon, sausage and country potatoes, he ate everything. I ordered the country breakfast and was a little disappointed in the biscuit, though.My son got a breakfast burrito with chorizo and loved it. We were all stuffed by the end of our meal. They have tons of pastries, pies, breads and cakes. I bought Easter sugar cookies and theyre not only beautiful, theyre delicious. You wont be disappointed eating at Jantz.

It was a very pleasant dine in. The food was great, fulfilling yet not leaving me over stuffed and my pumpkin chai latte was even better. I love the way the drink had foam and a tea bag, not just that syrup stuff. The employees were nice and prompt. However they were out of a lot of ingredients but I was still happy with my experience.

This place was lovely!! Loved the food! It was a peaceful environment Forsure ! We don’t really eat breakfast at places but this was the best! And they have pies! 😮‍💨⛽️💯💯
