Atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing, inviting and very cozy.Service is tremendous.Food was perfect! The tsunami roll is a must try, full of flavor and well prepared. The spicy sauce on the edemame is very delicious and paired well with the eggrols and mustard sauce.Excited to come again and again to keep exploring the menu.12/5/23Came back for more sushi and again walked away beyond satisfied. The quality is amazing, the service is good, the food is delicious.

I recently ate at Japanese castle on 09/03/23. We started with drinks and let’s just say my cup was dirty ! The person I ate with also had a dirty cup. It was really gross as a first impression. We ordered the rock shrimp tempura as the appetizer it was good. Then we ordered the spicy albacore steak also good and the Korean ramen looks like a packaged noodle cook not fresh and for the roll we had the tsunami roll. The food was good but we ate with a little disgust just knowing the dishes aren’t fully clean.

My husband, my 8 year old and I love this place. Sushi is so delicious and fresh 100%The seafood miso is delicious.I have tried several rolls and can’t decide which one is my favorite because they are all seriously that good. Service is superb! Always on top of anything and very kind! My go to for sushi 🫶🏼 dine and take out service are great. Even when you order takeout the sushi is very nicely put together and visually looks appetizing as you can see.

The service was nice and the food was good. I just decided to stop because I was stuck in traffic and got some sushi to wait it out. Not really knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and the restaurant was clean. It had an authentic feel about it. The place wasnt too crowded so I got my food rather fast.They are heavy handed on the sauces so Id suggest you ask them to go easy if youre not a fan.The place isnt close to my home but if I was in the area, Id return.

If you want to have a super vibey date night! This is the place to come. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Inside its gives you all the LA sushi spot ambiance but without the long drive. Starting off we got the miso soup. Idk about you but I can tell a lot about a sushi place by their miso soup and this place didn’t disappoint. Also tried the samurai roll; super buttery baked salmon that melted in our mouth and new paramount roll. Fresh tuna and albacore with a spicy garlic kick. Dont walk run to this place!! You wont regret it.

The atmosphere was perfect, the lighting at the table was unique in that the room was dark, but the table was (mostly) well lit. It was a bit dark around the edges of the table, but the light made the food stand well. Next the choices on the menu are so plentiful and I was very supprised at the prices, they were so low! The food arrived at a reasonable time, and the server was great. He was able to answer my questions and reccomend a great dish. I was very happy with the food. The fish quality was spot on and variety of the menu was plentiful. I arrived in motorcycle gear and the checked my helmet and bag! Ive never had service this friendly and helpful at a restaurant before! Japanese castle has really raised the bar.

This is still one of my top favorite sushi spots in the area. They have a variety of food and sushi to choose from, service has always been great, everyone is friendly and they have really good deals. Since they fully reopened from covid, the menu changed, but in a good way. They have new rolls and chef signature plates that are soooo good. I def recommend to come try it.

Stay away from this place. The food quality is not up to standard. I dont know how they call this place at Japanese restaurant when they play alternative music all night. You are better off going to yoshinoya fast food. Not one thing Japanese is authentic here.

Tried Japanese Castle tonight for the first time. Food and service were great. Tiger crunchy roll, baby rockstar roll and some sashimi choices, including Spanish mackerel- so fresh and delicious. The server and chefs were great. Definitely going here again!!

I think if Japan saw the rolls they serve at this place they would sue them and force them to change their name to cheapanese castle! I have never seen skimpy sushi rolls like this where they serve fish the size of a bubble gum square on the roll. Maybe if it tasted like extra fresh premium salmon it could have been over looked but the salmon was barely average at best. The ginger served on the side was so dry like its been left out for days. The roll mustve been rolled by an amateur as it would easily fall apart when you pick up a piece. The shrimp inside my eel roll was stale. If it was a cheap place I wouldnt have even bothered to review it but for the price they need to step it up a lot or call it a day. This was my first time trying this place and i wouldnt go back there even if it was free.

Food was (mostly) good. Their salmon and mackerel was fresh and tasted good. The blue crab castle was flavorful but had some shells in it. Cuts were decent size. Albacore was a bit bland and didnt deliver as well as the other pieces of sushi.Our order was messed up several times but the staff fixed the issue. We ordered sushi but were served sashimi. And they only served 1 order each instead of 2 each. I assumed it might have been been an honest mistake but it was a slick way to charge me more.I recommend to double check your order. We arrived at 5pm and even though it wasnt busy they still had problems with our order.Overall a good place with room for improvement. Ill try them again someday.

Great place! Love it here. Ive been a lifelong resident of Paramount and have only started to go here this year. They have the dodger games so I go there for that, while I have some sushi and sake. I keep going back because it is more of a family place and not loud. Excellent customer service here as well. Other sushi places do not have it as good.

I am giving them 2 stars because the service was great the food not so much. I went here because I was looking for a new ramen place and I read a review saying how good it was. The ramen they use is Top Ramen! So you are paying almost $10 for a 29 cent packet that is doctored up. The shishito peppers were soggy and overcooked. The avocado fries were not good. The cucumber salad was ok. If you want legit ramen this is not the place to come to.

We started with the spicy garlic edamame and shishito peppers. the edamame was a little too salty & sweet, in my opinion but my bf really liked it. my bf had never had shishito peppers before and we both loved them. then we ordered the dynamite roll and the spicy baked salmon roll. both were extremely delicious, so we ordered a third roll: the alaskan roll. it was so delicious. on top of that, the service was outstanding. this place was overall excellent. we will definitely be coming back.

I am honestly so, so impressed. Immediately, the atmosphere and customer service right off the bat are excellent. Having the Sriracha bottle on the table is an A++ from me. Complimentary refills and attentive servers are a highlight as well. Now, down to the food. My girlfriend and I judge a new sushi spot by their spicy tuna. I thought the flavor was right on point; It was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered the baked salmon roll, and the tsunami roll. Our personal favorite was the tsunami roll, its seriously so freaking good. The baked salmon roll was also so delicious. The only thing was our spicy garlic edamame was a bit overcooked and not saucy enough, but the flavor wasnt bad. The spicy mayo also didnt taste like the usual sushi spot flavor. But those are just 2 minor flaws compared to the many many successes. This place is probably going to replace our usual spot, Kikyo in Bellflower, just on customer service alone (the sushi quality is just as good). This is a hidden gem and we will be returning.

The chicken udon and popcorn chicken were very delicious. The dinner special A (chefs choice) was also fantastic. The fish selection for the rolls was great. Highly recommend the avocado roll for vegetarians. Will definitely make the drive out to eat again. Just a quick heads up, business hours state they close at ten, but they close the kitchen 30 minutes earlier (at least they did during our visit) so plan to your visit with that in mind.

If I can put 0 I would. This place has the rudest customer service. I ordered a scallop roll and it tasted stale. The ginger was dark brown and stale. I wouldn’t normally complain but for the amount of money spent and the customer service this first experience was ridiculous.60$ + And I asked for Spicey mayo on the side and got told would cost extra. These ladies were RUDE AF. Would never eat here. Even if it was free. Again they were RUDE .

So...this is one of my favorite places. Hands down my favorite place for sushi. I have been coming for 6 years now and maybe its because they are so good I havent left a review before. The Salmon Tempura Roll and Spicy Island Roll are amazing. The entrees available are also really great. Nothing here is lacking including the condiments. Very wholesome and traditional. The restaurants theme is warm and inviting great for a solo visit, a date or even a group day out.

This is definitely a favorite!! The prices are reasonable and there is so much to choose from the menu. I am absolutely in love with the Tempura California Roll. This is my go-to dish. I took my friends here one day and now they attend more than I do. The service is great and the staff is accommodating. The only con is that there have been a few occasions where they was closed during normal operating hours but the closure was not announced. Other than that Im happy with Japanese Castle.

Always loved this place since years ago when it first opened. Ive told one of the employees that the only reason I dont come more is because Id rather not burn the place out. Its a great place, with great food and very good customer service (didnt wanna use the word great again, doesnt mean its not great customer service, lol...). Dont let the exterior fool you! Inside is a top notch sushi restaurant. They give you sriracha right on the table! There is also soy sauce with a jalapeno and lemon juice added (its the one with the rectangle on top). Some of the best miso Ive ever eaten, with hand rolls that are overpacked generously.
