And now a third 5-star Thai joint in San Jose area. Jasmine is amazingly delicious work. The green curry with duck and aubergine - stupendous. The quiet area near “downtown” Santa Clara is special. Needs just slightly better service (some waits and we HATE it when the appetizer ends up after the entree). $4 bottles of Singha!

If I could, I would have snatched the Mango Curry that my friend ordered and devoured it all by myself. Lovingly run by two sisters, this restaurant has an inviting atmosphere and great food. Ill have to come back! Oh, and the prices are very reasonable.

This place is very beautiful. Well decorated and arranged. Was amused by the minute details of the decorations. Food is delicious and they have good selection on the menu. We tried Money Bags which was new and interesting. It wasnt bad, can try once. Jan Pad Phoo, Drunk Noodles was also tasty, well cooked. Service can be improved. The server seems to be little moody.

This food sent me into another dimension. Upon finishing my bowl I felt loved, happy, and at peace. This is what food is for. We got the catfish curry and steamed green beans. The catfish curry was crunchy while enveloped in creamy curry that was only highlighted with bell peppers and eggplant. The green beans tasted like a dessert it was so good. I forgot I was eating vegetables. Not only was the food astounding, the atmosphere matched the heaven I was transported to by the food. Beautiful decorations and plants surround you, and music floats through the room. I will come back again and again. New favorite restaurant.

Food was basic and small portions. The fried rice was so salty and rice undercooked. I expected better from a Thai restaurant. Explains why I did not see any Asian customers there. I won’t come back. Be wary of the 4-5 stars! So not the case.

This thai place is amazing - food and ambience. We ordered Papaya Thai Salad, Red Curry and Tom Yum Soup for two. I was bit disappointed with the quantity of papaya thai salad but the salad was delicious. We didn’t order the summer thai rolls but they looked very tempting as well.

I think the food here is excellent and the dining room is spacious and nicely lit. Jasmine doesn’t seem to dump fish sauce in everything which I appreciate. Flavors here are fresh and balanced instead of pungent. Highlights for me are the drunken noodles and pumpkin curry. I think diners that strongly prefer flavors at another place to this one might be because of the fish sauce use vs lack thereof.

We were planning to go to some other restaurant which we found that it got closed on our way to their and stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to go there. Happy with our decision. This place is very laid back and food was amazing. We have observed that at other Thai restaurants, servers are not very friendly but this location was different. Our server was very friendly and helpful.

We wanted to try a new place so picked Jasmine. The place was packed (due to prom and another big birthday party), but thankfully, they were able to seat us right away. Everyone was friendly and professional. They have an extensive menu and many dishes sounded great, so the 2 of us ordered 4 dishes so we had more to try. The salad was refreshing (enjoyed the sauces that came with it), the seafood seemed fresh, the Pad See Ew was tasty, but our favorite was the yellow curry. Needless to say, we had plenty to take home, so lunch the next day was delicious too! 😊

Really tasty Thai food - the few times Ive been here have always been delicious. I had the basil chicken medium spice and it was just at the edge of what I can handle, so perfect for very slightly adventurous spice enthusiasts. Husband got the catfish with green beans and peppers - less spicy, but excellent flavor - fried pieces of catfish with a slightly sweet sauce, along with green beans and peppers.

When Jasmine first opened up the food was great and more diverse. Since then the food quality and taste has fallen and after our last order, our family is done with Jasmine. There is no way that they can call their food fine Thai. The food is bland and the pad thai was downright terrible. How does a Thai place get this staple wrong? The coconut soup - tom kah was more brothy and lacked any heat when asked for medium spice. NOT ACCEPTABLE for a Thai spot and thus one of many parts of our decision never to go back.Ohh and dont expect them to give a rats rear end about what anyone thinks about their food or service. This place is notorious for getting orders incorrect, as they have with ours over the last decade +. Jasmine, you can only be bad at one or the other and still have reasonable success. If you are bad at food and service, forget it.

I am a huge fan of Thai food and well traveled so I know my Thai food. I typically judge the restaurant by the quality of its Tom yum soup. My first spoon of soup always has high expectations of a burst of flavor. Imagine my huge disappointment when it tasted more like camp bells chicken soup. EASILY the worst Tom yum soup ever. Soggy fish, really light on shrimp and mushrooms. Will not EVER order from them again

My new favorite Thai place. I didnt take any photos because I was really hungry but everything tasted delicious. For apps, we got the money bag. It was nicely presented and came with a sauce. There was also shrimp tempura, served hot and so crispy. I also got the duck larb. It was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned, not gamey tasting at all. For my entree, I order panang curry with chicken. It tasted amazing. There was a good portion of it and it filled me up. Looking forward to coming here again.

I really loved the tasty foods here in this restaurant. The service was very excellent because the staff members are quick to respond to my request. This place is really good. Went here for my birthday and got the vegetarian yellow curry with medium spice, it was really good but it was pretty spicy for it being “medium”spicy. We also got the vegetable tempura which was really tasty. However, my friend had their ginger salmon main and didn’t like it as much. Would recommend this place fore their curries though.

Didn’t take any pictures because the food is so good I just couldn’t bring myself to the mundane ritual of snapping a pic before eating. Even though the Tom Yum soups are only average at best, but I had the best Panang Curry here and that alone will bring me back for more! The rice, my goodness the rice is so good I could just eat them without pairing with anything!The atmosphere is great. The tables are comfy, the music is great, and there aren’t any huge crowds or loud conversations, which really enhances the dinning experience.The price is a bit on the upper echelons, but it’s probably worth it. I’d try to get some desserts next time

I came to this place last year and had such a great experience. I moved to the area and rediscovered it, tried to order via phone had an experience. They are very busy during peak hours, so dont take it personal I guess. Nonetheless I still came back in person because you get veggies and protein with their curries. Problems I have are, theyll ask if I want chicken as a protein instead of just asking what meat, Ive been vegetarian for a decade, never ordered chicken. The food is top notch. Beats tee nee thai, new krung, and the others in the area in both taste, quality, and price. Service is mostly good, suffers when busy.

We went to the restaurant after visiting the farmers market. After calling the waitress to get our order multiple times, we were ignored. We were with our baby and we decided to leave the restaurant after 15 minutes of no response.When we left, the waitress called us out saying “So you came to the restaurant just to use the restroom?”How incredibly rude, besides the extremely poor service, we had to also deal with the waitress who was lashing out on us leaving, because of not getting any service.This happened on August 28 2021, between 12.30 - 1PM. We couldn’t get a hold of our waitress’s name but she was the only one around and went out of her way to insult my family.

Advice to the owners/management: stop being stingy and get a few more hands to do the work. Some people surely like your place and you wouldnt want to lose them to bad service.I was dissatisfied with the service and the food too. They clearly seemed to be understaffed. Food arrived quite late and surprisingly the drinks arrived when we were almost done with the food. The server even spilled the drink on one of my lady guests, the pressure perhaps taking its toll. There were repeated requests to get the proper silverware to our table. And one of us even had to walk down to them and get an extra menu, which we had been asking for several times.Food for our table was decent. But for me the fish was not well cooked nor well prepared.Overall bad experience, this second time that we went and I would never be going back again.

The stir fry tasted horrible. They add coconut based sauce for veg stir fry that makes it taste really bad. Also it had some strong flavored spice that made it taste like curry. If you are expecting to eat a stir fry don’t go here.

You also have to realize that Thailand is a huge country in Asia and it has different regions with different flavors. Which was such a pleasant experience, I even gave a $5 tip for a $17 Basil Beef Fried Rice!I decided to return for a dine in experience on Sunday July 1st. and try the Beef Noodle Soup plus order a Green Curry Beef, and Fried Fish Cakes to go (still excited about my 1st. visit).Upon my arrival, the waitress gave me a head gesture which conveyed a what do you want? in what would be considered RUDE to any average customer manner.No, not hello or welcome...but a head gesture in ganster-style!Still remembering my 1st. impression from Friday, I chose to sit down and waited for my Noodle Soup.This Soup is traditionally served with condiments sauces...which the waitress sharply said we dont have it.So, I asked for at least some hot sauce so I can proceed to taste what I consider to be a basic & common dish that would give me a clear indication of their flavor-authenticity of Thais food.While eating the soup, I heard a spoon or some silverware dropped to the floor.As I looked toward the sound, I saw the waitress picking up the dropped item and placed it back on the serving tray that she was bringing out to another customer!A few minutes later, another customer requested additional bottle of bear and said thank you to the waitress...who replied with okay.I am originally from Thailand, which Im proud to know that the country is known as The Land of the Smiles.Courteous and polite are normal traits thats ingrained and obvious among most Thais that Ive crossed path with, even in other countries.In closing this review, I would not recommend this Thai restaurant to anyone unless theyre familiar with the typical French-restaurant-atmesphere.But as a Thai-Born U.S. Grown man....Im out!!😨😣🙏

I used to love dining at this place for many years I hadnt been here in a year or two, but was in the area and decided to go again. Not sure if there was a change of ownership, different cooks, or what, but the quality of the food has really gone downhill - although the prices have increased considerably. The Tom Yum soup was decent, but both curry dishes we got (mussaman beef and green curry chicken) were bland and watered down. The curries used to be served in a much thicker, more robust and flavorful sauce. No more. Both the chicken and the beef were rubbery, thin slices, as opposed to the thick, tender pieces I was used to before. Sadly disappointed.

From the food, to the staff, to the location...everything was a hit. Went late in the evening after shopping at Valley Fair, so definitely had an appetite. Hands down worst Thai food I’ve ever had. I love Thai food but this was like they said what if we made Thai food and added maple syrup to every dish! I ordered my food. My girlfriend and I each took one bite. Ask for the check. Paid the bill ($27 dollars) and walked out. So so very bad! 😕😕😕

Their food is good and their prices are low considering its a restaurant environment. The biggest issue is their service, it is far from flawless. Most recently I had to wait twenty minutes longer than the people I dined with for my food to arrived, just to find out that they gave me spaghetti instead of noodles. Instead of trying to solve the problem they got upset when I complained.

Its reputation precedes this place. Jasmine feels authentic, looks authentic and actually is fairly authentic. Although the Thai Food ship has sailed a few years ago if youre in the area be sure to give it a try. Their prized duck curry tastes like Chinese Peking duck in curry sauce. Lol; but still good. Ordered from doordash to pickup here and forgot my mask.......so when i entered the server screams at me right away upon entering to put a mask on.....so i tried to explain to her that i placed a online order and i forgot my mask and if she could just bring it to me? To my surprise she wouldnt bring me my order and seemed unwilling to let me in to pick up the food......than finally she decided to let me reach in to grab my food.....i mean i understand its shelter in place but that was uncalled for. Great family owned Italian restaurant! When you first get there, dont worry if no one is there to greet you and seat you. The owner personally seats everyone so it may take a bit.The night we went, there was live music which wasnt too loud, which allowed us to have a nice dinner conversation.At the recommendation of numerous Yelpers, we got the veal Parm and the cioppino. Wow, I sure was glad to have gotten these dishes. Both were delightful and were wonderful! I couldnt even finish the cioppino because it was massive! Let me tell you, its even better the next day for leftovers!Oh almost forgot.... the bread.... oh goodness the bread. It was warm, chewy and fluffy. The best place in Santa Clara and San Jose to find a quality Thai curry. My wife and I have dined here several times and we throughly enjoyed every visit. Our favourites are the red curry and the pad thai chicken noodles. They are busy, but the staff are polite and gracious. Take away options are also available for dining at home.
