The bar area is very tight-too many tables for the size of the room. Bartender gave good service, good drinks (although I prefer fresh whipped cream in my coffee drink). Good food but tempura veggies were really greasy.I was there 10 years ago and it hasnt changed. Time for updates! Make your bar bigger.
The food here is fantastic! My party of five started with the peach fig salad special, fried calamari, dragon prawns, and a hotshot each. For entrees we shared the seafood risotto and the rattlesnake pasta. All food was delicious! There was not one disappointing item! For dessert we shared the cheesecake, creme brulee, and the tiramisu. We left nothing on our plates. We also enjoyed great drinks!
Food was good. Had the tempura green beans. Perfect amount of salt and crunch. Followed by ribeye, also perfectly medium rare with jalapeño mashed. Did their take on a Banana split. Good.The service started off great. Kind and considerate, patient. Didnt rush me. Made good suggestions on wine. After the appetizer was dropped, didnt really see a server again, other than flybys. No one checked back on my entree. Desert was dropped so fast he didnt notice I had no utensils. Had to flag someone down. Had to flag someone down to get my check and have it picked up. Never said thank you or anything else. It was very odd considering how it started.I am in the business so I still tipped large, but I was very disappointed.
The food and ambiance was very nice. Prices were a bit steep for what you are getting. It felt like the sort of place more popular for business lunches. The menu is very unfocused and straddles several categories. I think if they tried to make one thing great instead of several things good, it would be more recognized. Plenty of parking and very friendly and helpful staff.
My dinner was excellent. We had the oysters special, tuna poke, pizza and penne pasta. Everything was fantastic. Definitely recommend a visit there. The patio is really cozy perfect a romantic night out. They were working on a charcuterie platter that the owner let me taste. The perfect pairing for a nice glass of chateauneuf du pape selected by Tiffany their wine consultant.

I had the special, Halibut on garlic mashed and asparagus Spears. There was a sprinkling of something that tasted like chopped olives around the edge of the plate. It was absolutely delicious. Great service. Very enjoyable experience.
A group of six of us have been comming to Jasons for the last 10 plus years and have always had a great time and great food. Now last night it crumbled, food took forever and when it did arive one of us was served 10 min before the rest. The server was unpleasant and impatient, and to top it off the food was not what it used to be.
Off the beaten path, but right off the freeway, Jasons provides high end seafood and farm raised meat. The menu is unique and the wine selection is large. Always great service. They have a great happy hour, too!
Upscale elegance and top notch service in a relaxed atmosphere. Food was v v gd. Live music was perfect for dining. Service by our server Angel was v considerate - mistakes were compensated with on the house drinks without us asking. Highly recommend.
Jasons Restaurant is a very nice restaurant. Its a restaurant with a quality menu and great service. My board holiday gathering was held in the banquet room which was not a warm space for a holiday party.Jasons should make an effort to make this banquet room feel more festive for the holidays.Lets see what happens next year!
Good food, but service was terrible. Service staff was pleasant, however, woefully under-trainined to a below-amature level. A basic 15 minute training session explaining how it should be done (e.g. sequence of serving) would help.Got warm water, but then saw iced water served to others. Requested new water, but they just topped off my warm glass after reaching across my plate while eating. Initially, waited to long for waiter to arrive and then waited too long for drinks....15 minutes + for drinks alone. It was not busy. Once served drinks, appetizers immediately arrived. No one removed app. plates so I had to assist when entree server arrived. Waiter did not show-up until end of meal to ask if food was ok or if we needed anything else. Actually we did, but at that point we just wanted the check.Decor was poor. It seemed more like a banquet hall with art more in keeping with a cheap hotel.Nice location and good chef. You do her/him a disservice. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.Get your act together wait staff
My go to restaurant for events and bringing family and friends when they come visit. Service, ambiance, and especially food are all of upscale quality. The one thing I do appreciate is it’s kid friendly and very laid back, meaning it’s not a turned up nose place.Jason himself has helped me organized several Holiday party events and his staff has always been on point.
We really like Jasons. We go late afternoon for happy hour drinks and eat from the main menu. Service is always very good and food is above average. Jason is often in the bar and or kitchen working. Thats what it takes to run a good restaurant today.
The lobster bisque, one of tonights specials, had a little thinner consistency than Im used to but the flavor was wonderful. The scallop appetizer was cooked just right (two scallops with a salad in between). The sea bass was incredible. Miso glazed and served over a bed of rice and spinach with a little soy dip. Well be back for more.Update: Weve been back for more and have not been disappointed. Make sure you try the Dragon Prawns and the Hot Shot appetizers.
Friendly tentative staff. Very good drinks especially duting happy hours.. Definetly didnt skimp on the alcohol! Appetizers were delicious..we got the prawns and string beans. Nice mature atmosphere. Outdoor seating that enclosed but has a view of the water. Would reccomend. 3 people, $50, 3 drinks and 2 appetizers.
A well kept secret in Marin County. Jasons is a concoction of American cuisine with Asian fusion highlights and an excellent wine list. It really is a place to behold. Not the most exotic environment, but the food and the service experience makes it worth your time and the tilted outside patio is just charming. Try it!
Good seafood and a laid back atmosphere. The outdoor seating is nice during good weather. The location is a bit odd (its in a business park), but there is a nice walk by the water with a dog/people park around the corner.
The outside of the restaurant is perfect for meeting with friends or large groups. Food is very good...I suggest sticking to the seafood options. Extensive wine list and really good appetizers. Waiter was a hoot!
Let me be clear I have no problems with the food at this restaurant. The staff was fine and Ribeye was great though that cannot make up for the overall experience at Jason’s this Christmas Eve.My family and friends entered the restaurant only to be told that we would be dining in the ‘other room.’ To call that an extension of the restaurant would be a reach to say the least. The room in which we ate would most closely be described as an office space. Curtains still drawn, no sound, a makeshift bar in the corner, dirty dishes laying out next to the bar for any patron to see — these were just a few things visibility off the bat. Add in no music and chairs covered with measly skirts and it’s safe to say I was truly embarrassed to have taken my family to this restaurant. It is really an embarrassment for a restaurant to intentionally overbook their restaurant and shove those who made reservations in advance into an office for us to partake in an unbenounced fixed price menu. I am trying to add a picture to show what it was like dining next to a coat rack and cheap lights on a table.I will never bring my family or anyone who I care about to this restaurant for as long as I live and hope to see an apology from the owner in the near future.

The drink wasnt worth million dollar but it great. I wish it came in a fancy glass instead of a cup. He changed to fettuccine with white creamy sauce and topped with fresh parmessan cheese. For a kids pasta dish, it was delicious. In addition, we ordered shrimp with asparagus and rice. My son loved the lemon rice from my dish. Let me tell you, my one year old is a very picky eater. Mother and son, we both killed the dish.Although its a fine dining restaurant, they have kids high chair and kids menu. Yelp had the sign not a kid friendly restaurant which is totally wrong. Kids are welcome.😍Ambiance inside is beautiful.Ill totally recommend this restaurant for a date night.
My go-to place on the way back from anywhere north on my way back home. Also, the place I always go to on first dates. The food is great, the wine is great, the walk outside afterwards is special. Jason is a great guy. I asked him, since my date didnt eat meat or seafood, if he could hook her up if I brought in an Army boot. Of course he said :)1/2 off bottles of wine on Tuesdays and Thursdays is a a nice perk.

REVIEW ONLY FOR: The Kobe Burger, pricy per person at $21.00 but worth it, medium well, comes with cheese, bacon, everything else and the bun is buttery good. First off, its huge, my husband and I split one, comes with a choice of salads or fries (sometimes, you can ask them to substitute a side). Ive only eaten inside the restaurant a couple of times, nice, clean, friendly, but the sell is outdoor dining with the view of the Corte Madera waterway, paths along the waterway and to Bon Air Shopping Center. So far, their burger has not disappointed.
This place was awesome. Appetizers were delicious! Food was so good. Ambiance was really nice. Date night, good friend night..it is a great place for drinks and dinner.

Jasons is a beautiful restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. Even the owners are working the kitchen to keep everything running efficiently. Its a must go to in the Greenbrae/Larkspur/Corte Madera area with ample parking and a convenient location right near the freeway.

Our server was funny and sweet. We got rushed to leave our table by staff so they could use it for others waiting.Jasons will be closing permanently September 19 2021.

As we were not too hungry this evening, we just went into main dishes directly - we had miso glazed sea bass and dungeon crab linguini pasta (todays specials). I have to say this is by far the most dedicated fusion that perfectly blends western and Asian essences into a very nice work in Bay Area at very reasonable price points. From the first bite we knew we were in the right place! We enjoyed our dinner at Jasons very much and felt actually much more satisfied than dining with some unimpressive over-rated Michelin restaurants! 😝

2017-11-01 21:10:59Great place for Happy Hour, good food. My favorite: Hot Shots appetizer& Tomato Bisque soup. The location at Office Center is not my favorite, but there are a lot of parking though. You can stroll by the river after dinner, there is a nice pass walk with a view of Mt Tam.

2016-03-13 02:58:16Old school meets excellent food in a 1970s era building. The atmosphere feels like a place my dad hung out in during the 70s - in a good way. The food here is excellent. The seafood is particularly good and the cocktails and wine selection are great. I know the menu changes from time to time but really, Jasons has a long standing reputation for always being good from long time locals. I agree.
