I really enjoyed Javier’s! The food was great and the drinks were also amazing. The service I give a four stars because the hostess seemed to be overwhelmed and forgot to seat us, our reservation was at 7:00 and we didn’t get seated until 7:30. However, the amazing service from our waiter and the food coming fast and being delicious made up for that rough start.

Seated right away, atmosphere was picture perfect! Food was amazing, had a filet that was like butter! Pat Sajak was at the table next to us, which was cool. Lastly, our waiter stopped us on the way out saying we over tipped, that gratuity was already included in the bill and didnt want us to pay more than we should. Thats awesome!

My husband said we had to visit Javiers becasue it was the best Mexican food Ive ever had. Period.. So we went...and he was right! The shrimp ceviche was just ok, didnt have a ton of flavor, but the mains and even the salsas were amazing. He had the carnitas, which were amazing. I had the steak fajitas. They came out mixed together in a bowl, which is not how I usually see fajitas served, but I absolutely could not believe the flavor. The steak was so tender I could cut it with a knife! And the mixture of the tomato with the onions (green and white) with the pablanos was incredible. Even the guacamole was creamy and delicious and so fresh it actually started turning brown! Definitely go here if you like mexican food!

At least two visits. That’s the number of times I’ve had consistent food/service and overall, a great experiences. First time was in Vegas (Aria). Ordered the “La Tablita” steak for two.Got the same thing this time and it was just as good if not better (we were soberish this time). Got a pepino margarita from the bar (it was nice and stiff) but the Old Fashion was one of the best, if your in to adult beverages. Ordered churros for dessert (freshly made and delicious)but we probably didn’t fully appreciated them as we were stuffed.Keep it going Javier!!!

We visited from Texas and this food lived up to (and exceeded) all our expectations for Mexican cuisine! Delicious margaritas too! Beautiful restaurant and view. It was very busy so I would recommend reservations

The chips and salsa that they give you when you sit are Ahhazing. The salsa has the perfect amount of spice! That was a big favourite. We ordered ceviche as a starter and that tasted super fresh. It was mixed with avocado, onions and sauce. It was good but nothing great. The drinks are strong and good! The food was good but not great. My taco had super crusted chicken in it. I got the mixed plate so I could try a couple of things. Enchiladas were great along with the pepper. Food is not authentic Mexican but you come for the ambience and vibe! It was packed on a Monday night!Didn’t get the chance to have dessert. I will definitely be back.

Everything is great about this restaurant the location, decor, service, food and drinks. The cucumber margaritas were delicious and the La Tablita was large enough for 3 people and exquisitely prepared. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

One of our favorite spots in OC. We love the Newport location being right next to the water. The atmosphere and ambiance in there is amazing. The enchiladas suizas are great! Chips and salsa are fresh. I usually order the black mamba which is great as well. Highly recommend

Ive heard nothing but great things about this place, so I finally stopped by for a drink. I ordered the cucumber margarita, and it was so refreshing. Its definitely one of the best cucumber margaritas Ive had. The complimentary salsa and chips was great as well so we ordered the guacamole. Its the most creamy guacamole Ive ever tasted. The sprinkle of parm made a difference in taste as well.Overall great experience. Id come back for an actual meal next time.

Again I say, wonderful restaurant, great service, delicious food, wonderful plating, and the ambiance is enjoyable with friends and family. On the opposite end of my thoughts, this is definitely a restaurant to enjoy and go to when you have the money to spend it. An example would be, you order the pork chop tomahawk dish; You get a small dollop (like a table spoon measurement) of mash potatoes, steamed veggies and the pork chop that comes with the molé dip/sauce. Again I say delicious, but will come with the steep $40 price that I could buy a multitude of Costco pork chops that I could cook myself. Im not mad, Im just warning that the food is so delicious that your wallet will hurt and you wont care. The appetizers are top tier, the salsa+tortilla chips will wet the tongue, I could eat so many taquitos with the crisp shell topped with the guac sauce, the empanadas melt on your mouth and this is all before I even hit the main dish that will make me claim bankruptcy/be in debt to the Javier lordsTl;Dr Javiers got me messed up with how good it is. Im poor but I left happy.
