Jenns is a TRUE GEM within the city of Oroville. A small cafe off the beaten path, my wife and I stopped in after our Green Line Tour of the Oroville Dam. Its small, but the portions are Insanely LARGE. I ordered the Chicken Fried skillet, which included potatoes, eggs, and the BEST country gravy in Northern CA. The chicken fried steak was easily the size of my plate, plentiful potatoes, and what seemed to be 4 eggs. My wife got the Traditional breakfast with the Ribeye and biscuits & gravy. Weve both been to steakhouses where the cooks couldnt deliver a rare steak to save their jobs, but it was FLAWLESSLY cooked to perfection! There was absolutely NO way to eat it all, so we packed it away and left satiated and full, with a promise to return again. Make NO mistake about this restaurant, and patronage this Cafe instead of the usual suspects like Dennys and the like. You wont be disappointed. If I COULD give 6 stars, I would.

Sadly it’s so unusual to get a breakfast where everything is cooked perfectly. Bacon nice and crispy. Home fries cooked perfectly with great flavor so no ketchup was needed. Over medium eggs actually over medium, duh. Sourdough toast perfectly toasted.Friendly server and cafe ambiance.What a way to start the dayI hope you enjoy it as much I did.

OMGOSH this place is awesome! Great food, great atmosphere. They have hilarious placards on the wall…my favors “Farm Fresh Butt Nuggets for Sale.”We had a bacon, avocado, and mushroom omelette, with hash browns and 1/2 order biscuits and gravy - enough food for two people. Also had the orange juice - it was great!Highly recommend!

The service was great; attentive, friendly, and fast. It was clean, our breakfast was good, it wasnt my favorite cup of coffee but Im pretty picky about my coffee anyway and it wasnt terrible. Best of all, the prices were small, and the portions were large (A necessity when dining with my husband). Over all it was a good little diner, Im sure we will be back.

An absolute Road Trip Treasure! My wife and I are on a month long road trip and we look for these hidden local,places that serve good and honest food. We saw the reviews on Jen’s and had to try it out. We both had the Joe’s Special - I had country fries and a biscuit/ gravy, she had the pancakes. Everything was beyond good, especially the home fried potatoes with green peppers and onions. The best I have ever had - EVER! The eggs were done perfectly, and scrambled with the meat and spinach.Jenn greeted us and was our waitress. Very friendly and the food was out quickly the coffee was good and my cup was never empty.

Its a cute restaurant and the food was good the first time I was there....but the second time there was a serious roach problem! One crawled down from the ceiling, two across the table and there were several dead on the floor. If thats in the dining room I dont wanna see the kitchen. 🤢

The food was great, and the dining area had a nice charm. It was nice how bright and cheerful the room was. The staff was cheerful and attentive. The only thing I wasnt impressed with was the cost to portion ratio. I thought that for how much the cost was there should have been a bit more on the plate. Otherwise everything was great!

Nice cozy little spot. They have really good menu options and run good specials. Service is friendly and normally pretty fast. I like to mix it up and after several visits I enjoyed every order. Only downside is the place is kind of small so it can fill up and youll have to wait, but its worth it

At first I was concerned by the prices, but then saw that the portions were *huge*. My husband and I split a sandwich and they played it on two plates for us. We went in late, it was nearly time to close, and they never rushed ua or made us uncomfortable.

So good, the people here are extremely patient and friendly. They waited on my slow self to get an order in and when I wanted to switch tables there was no fuss about it. The place is small but there was plenty of outdoor seating available. The food was good, ordered a Reuben (is that right?) with a side of fries. The sandwich was very good, could only get half in and ate the rest later. The prices are a little more up there than an average meal but it is a great spot for a get together with buddies.

Ive only been there 2 times and both were mediocre. My man on the other hand really liked jenns.cafe to the point he would go by himself. As we were eating our breakfast he pulls a hair out of his mouth and when we told the waitress she didnt even say sorry she just asked if we wanted another oneHe had lost his.appetite by that point so I asked.for a box and the check. They ended up charging u a full price!!! She had to call the owner to see if it was ok to refund a meal that wasnt eaten with a hair in it...she then came back and said they were gonna charge for the sides and take.off the entree...long story short the food was mediocre and we were told not to come back because they refused to make it right.... we werent planning on going back anyways....

This place has very good food. The prices were comparable to other breakfast/lunch restaurants in town. The staff is friendly and efficient. The place is small but mighty. Only a morning place as they close at 1pm. The only problem was it was a little warm and stuffy.

Fantastic. Great breakfast, great staff. Love the chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. I try to eat here at least twice a month. The building is way to small and could stay open another hour or two longer on the weekends. I also frequently try to order tomato juice which they dont have, lol

I went there with my daughter and it seemed like a comfortable atmosphere until the waitress really tried to brush a baby roach off of my plate before she set it on the table. I sat there thinking how could she really just wipe that off there and hand me the plate of food anyways?? Well my appetite was pretty much gone by then. I give 2 stars because the server was very nice, but I have to say, cold hash browns, eggs runny when supposed to be (over medium) burnt bacon and my toast was cold and seemed to not even had been toasted. The coffee was good and that was the highlight. Small portions as well and no apology what so ever. Its like they didnt even care. No thanks on eating here again. I suggest going anywhere else but here. Ive had better food at taco bell to be honest.

Jenns is a great little hole in the wall place with friendly people and good food. If youre towing, theres parking across the street. The bathroom key is hanging at the end of a spatula. So I did what anyone would do and that is to tell my friends Im going to go get their meal.

Breakfast looks good, and Ive tried the Reuben...that was fine as I remember.. However, the other day I ordered the western burger and expected a BURGER!! What really happened was a poorly cooked Turkey patty that looked horrible....(I wish I could post the pic I took, it would tell the story). And it just slipped around in my hands. It didnt taste very good and was also under cooked in a couple of areas. It just didnt feel good afterwards also. The service was good as usual, but the food is not healthy...just leaves ME feeling bad.Beware of the garlic fries, theyre not for everyone!!!

Service was very good, but I had a omelette that was more of a scramble, hash browns were ordered crispy and they were, but inside wasnt cooked enough, barely warm, first time Ive ever had toast where butter wasnt melted in a cafe, order wasnt awful at all just not well prepared, would have said something but grand daughter was with me. Ive been to mostly all of the breakfast joints in oroville and this one by far is the BEST ! The service was amazing they checked on us the entire visit, my boyfriend had his soda refilled 3 times before it was even empty. I ordered the chili cheese omelette with a waffle as the side and it was amazing filled me up i couldnt even finish the entire waffle. Great resturaunt!! Definitely will be going back and would recommend it to family and friends.

I tried them today for the first time in six years hoping that I was going to be leaving full and satisfied. That was not the case. The menu is confusing. Prices are high for the quality of food you get. I ordered a 2 bacon 2 eggs 🍳 hashbrowns and biscuit AND gravy. At least thats what I thought I ordered from what the menu said. The menu states: 2 bacon OR sausage served WITH your choice of potatoes WITH one slice of toast or half a waffle or two slices French toast or a half biscuit AND gravy. The way I see this is I get four items. So when I asked for this breakfast I wasnt able to get a biscuit and gravy like it says, they said I had to add gravy for $1.50. So I chose a half waffle. When it came out there was two eggs, which I ordered over medium, two bacon and a half a waffle. Wheres the hashborwns? My bf got the same thing but with toast and he got four items. My eggs were not over medium they were over easy. Needless to say I paid $20 for food that I didnt like and Im still hungry because I did not eat my eggs only the bacon and half waffle. When I said my eggs were too runny and my boyfriends toast was just buttered bread we just got an ok no apology and when we left we were not acknowledged. The waitress was nice and personable and coffee was good. But we wont be back.

Place is not very roomy. Couldnt maneuver my sons stroller in the place. Also the staff let a table block the entrance and exit so we had to ask the table to move which they didnt want to but eventually did so we could leave. You get alot if food with your order tho

Hey is that old Kathy still the landlord there . Boy what a double crosser she was paying my lawyer to lose my case . Good old Bob huewit .. Kathy wouldnt pave my parking lot but she did it after I had to close ... I guess she didnt like are contract...
