Above average food quality and tastes. Mainland Chinese cuisine that is not Cantonese, Teochew, not Hokkien. Some seafood items are market priced. Lobster was $40/pound when I visited and also required a 1-day advance order. Excellent attentive service from the staff. 1 VIP room area with 2 tables, each seating 10. Minimum charge for a VIP table is $400. Rice is $1.95 per bowl (not large). Nothing special about the interior. Plenty of free parking. For those who like pork belly, get the Dong Po pork.

The decor here is not like your typical Chinese Restaurant. The food is good. Small things could make it better. Of the dishes we tried the Kung Pao Chicken and the Eggplant with Pork were the best. The fried fish fillet with seaweed was really good, but to me could greatly benefit from a nice light sauce - maybe even on the side.We tried a soup dish that was recommended by an article in the LA Times and it was just ok. It had what looked like a noodle, but turned out to be a bean curd based thing. Definitely not going to order that one again. Not even sure if it’s on the menu.

Lots of great delicious choices here so be adventurous & try something new. Definitely must try the beef rolls & the rice cakes. This place is a bit pricier than your traditional mom & pop type of Chinese restaurant, but it’s worth it. Great for groups since it’s family style.

- Sweet Red Bean Pancake ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Love it! Just the right amount of sweetness! If I ever visit the restaurant again, this will definitely on my order list!- Dong Po Pork ⭐️⭐️Too much oil. The portion is really large so you probably wouldn’t want to order it unless there are 3+ people. I don’t like the pork as there’s just too much oil but the broccoli is really good 😂 although it’s not the focus of the dish- Seaweed Fried Fish ⭐️⭐️It’s almost flavorless unless you dip the salt in a small plate that comes with the main dish. I can’t really taste any seaweed but the fish inside is tender and juicy. Just not much flavor.Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If without the hype, I may enjoy this place more. It is truly just an above average Chinese restaurant. For sure not those kind hole on the wall type. The food taste good but not outstanding, the service is excellent consider this is a Chinese restaurant, haha, you know what I mean. The price is also fair.Again, I sure will come back if I am in the neighborhood, but not deliberately.

Do not believe the other reviews. You get 5% discount for reviewing them on Yelp or Google. We had the shimmering shrimp and the only characteristic thing of it was sugar, there is no depth no amount of redeeming it. We also had the salt duck which was ok. Wonton soup might have been. The most edible dish we had. The raw crab was a bit too much MSG. The Pork Abalone dish was ok. The scallion noodles with shrimp roe was bad as the noodles were overcooked and you could barely taste the shrimp roe and scallion . The braised sea cucumber was quite a vile dish that was not properly prepared, it needed more braising and cleaning. It was so bad that we left the leftovers in their parking lot. Please do not visit this establishment.

The food was okay. The chicken dish we ordered were all bones and very few pieces with meat on them. The beef soup was really good. The egg was silky and light. The pork belly was the best. It literally melted in your mouth. Because its so rich and heavy that I couldnt have more than two pieces. The veggies was good, the same as everywhere else.Although the servers were very attentive to our needs, I dont appreciate them started clearing the table while I am still signing the credit receipt. For a Michelin star restaurant, I am not impressed.

The waitresses are friendly and attentive. The lunch menu offers a good range of selections, including soup (recommend #19 the winter melon and clams soup), vegetables, pork (#49 and 51, the later has hidden diced chili to surprise your taste buds), seafood, a few beef and lamb dishes (#61 is good). You will need to pay for the steamed rice which is charged by bowls. Overall, the taste of food matches the advertising Michelin award.Food portion is smaller while pricing is a little higher if compared to the nearby restaurants in SGV.Parking spots is limited in the adjoining parking lot, but there is an additional parking in the far back.

First time went back after the pandemic. Located on Las Tunas east of the restaurant row on Main Street in Alhambra. This place seemed to have remodeled since the last time I’ve been here. The inside looked bright and modern yet plush. The foods had improved quit a bit.The staffs are very friendly and kind. We had a chance to talked to the owner of the restaurant. He is from Vancouver, Canada and brought with him the culinary experience and good foods from that region. I understand that his brother in law is the executive chef here who has many years of five star hotel chef experiences. I guess that’s why they got a bid gourmet recommendation from Michelin Guide. It’s a rear that a restaurant can blend well the cuisines from Taiwan with the Shanghai flavors. This restaurant has done a good job creating many delicious Shanghai/Taiwan dishes.I particularly enjoyed their Scallion pancake and the Shanghai pan fried cake with soy sauce. These two dishes embodied the best of both Shanghai and Taiwanese cuisines. I loved the flavor of the onion pancake which was flaky and crunchy without tons of oil. The wok Hei in the Shanghai fried cake dish reflected the excellent skills of the chef 👩‍🍳. The Shanghai rib and the tofu skin with preserved vegetables were excellent as well. Overall, the foods were fantastic, can’t go wrong with ordering any of the dishes with pictures on the menu.Tons of parking spots next to the restaurant.

We came early around 11:30 am and no wait on weekend. We are large group and lucky there is only 2 tables left for large group. My fav are dry spicy pork intestine pot, crab, fried fish and Shanghai baby ribs. Bitter melon with egg yolk is good too, a little more bitter than the flavor we eat. I like the way they cook. Light and not too overwhelming for sou sauce flavor. Will come again for sure to try other dishes. Price is also very reasonable too. Has small car park on the side and back. Cost about 240 for 9 people.
