JIN Sushi (Downtown) in Bakersfield

Staff was very friendly and prompt. I feel as a single diner, they treated me just the same at the sushi bar as they would a 4-top. The rolls are a little pricey but worth the real crab (oh!my!God! Roll), attention to detail and flavor of the artfully cut fish. Homemade saki is a must.

I went here for the first time after my sister recommended it to me and I loved it! The atmosphere was perfect and the servers were polite and welcoming. They sat my family and I down quickly and attended to us quickly as well. The food was amazing and I would go back hundreds of times. Would definitely recommend this place.(The food in the picture is the Chicken Katsu and it was so delicious!!)

We celebrated my daughters birthday there and the service was excellent! Food was delicious! And the prices are reasonable.

This place has great food and possibly even better service. The only reason why I didnt give this place a full 5 STARS was because they didnt have any selection of Japanese Whiskeys and they didnt give us the option to sub white rice with their fried rice, other than that we really enjoyed this place.We will be coming back here, no doubt about it.

Well my plate was great but on the bento box rice of my partner we found a hair and it was disgustingness. I asked for the mago sushi, a kind over sweet but still good. Good in general but the unexpected hair in the food unexpectedly gives me a not good experience.

Originality we were going to another place but it didn’t exist so we went here and omg it was amazing. I got the seafood udon and it was delicious. As well as the snow crab sushi (great for beginners)and egg rolls. Will definitely come again

Okay, so I have mixed feelings about this place. Ill start by saying I very much enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at JIN. I even really like the makeshift outdoor dining - even if it is a little wonky.My issue is that the dishes are either AMAZING or not good at all. I inquired about the oysters and was told they were fresh - they were not. Dont get me wrong, I dont have high expectations in Bakersfield to have outstanding oysters... But these were plain awful.The Jalapeno Poppers, Sushi Rolls, and soups are fantastic.... But the fried rice tastes like it has frozen veggies instead of fresh.All in all, I probably would try JIN again, and if I do - Ill adjust this comment accordingly.

I took my kids there to celebrate my late nephews birthday as sushi was his favorite. Our waitress was so sweet and we had a great time.

This place is amazing and the ambiance is great super mello, food was delicious and servers were the best! Super fast with our food!Appetizers (monkey brains) also in the picture Jin special / omg roll and some dessert deep fried cheese cake 🍰
