2023-12-08 04:24:28I came here for dinner with my friend and I heard so many good things about it! The interior was clean and had some nice Korean decorations. The side dishes weren’t anything special, you get some bean sprouts, kimchi, pickled lettuce, pickled onion, and spicy radish. We ordered the beef broth soup and cheese curry katsu. The broth soup was so yummy! I highly recommend it. You get a good amount of meat and it’s easy to share. The cheese katsu was so crispy and savory. It’s a good portion for 1-2 people! Overall, the food was good and I would come again to try the other dishes. I think the service was just adequate, nothing over the top.

2023-11-07 00:00:42Hands down, one of the better korean foods Ive ever had. The chicken curry katsu was exceptional. The standout was the cheesy ramen tteokbokki. It tasted so good.Service was very quick as well.

2023-05-08 04:18:59Out of the three dishes my friends and I ordered, the chicken katsu stood out the most. It was surprisingly juicy and breaded just right. The sauce was good too.The beef bone broth and its spicy variant were good too—after a dash of salt and pepper. The sides weren’t bad either. As for seating, there’s a lot of tables. There’s paid parking behind the restaurant and metered parking on the streets surrounding around the restaurant.

2023-09-10 16:00:29You don’t need to finish reading this review, this place is so insanely good and you just need to go, especially if Korean food is your jam. I’ve been here twice now and everything I’ve tried is incredible. I’ve had the curry katsu, spicy pork hot stone, and bulgogi pancake all of which were amazing and had so much flavor. This time I split the braised beef short rib and I was squealing with joy the whole way through. I had to stop mid conversation multiple times to gush about how good it was. Pro tip: add the cheese, you won’t regret it! (unless of course you’re lactose intolerant 😭) The short ribs came with two bowls of rice and any entree you get comes with the standard side dishes (banchan 반찬) which usually is kimchi and other tasty veg. And to top it all off, the staff are always so sweet and friendly.

2022-08-31 06:16:37We tried quite a few things off the menu. The food was good, but didn’t necessarily stand out to me. I eat Korean food quite often. I guess for being located right on Brand, it’s nice to have a place to go that has a little bit of everything. Out of what we ordered, I liked the mushroom japchae and the spicy pork with cheese the most.

2022-04-05 05:29:22Ive got to be honest... Ive got mixed feelings about this place, but Im definitely willing to come back to try out different menu items.First of all, their banchan is amazing. They only serve kimchi, pickled radish, and pickled onions but damn theyre pretty good. Id believe them if they told me they had cute Korean grandmas making all the banchans in the kitchen. The food, for me, is where Jin Cook fell short. While its not what theyre known for, I ordered the Army Stew because I wanted something hearty and spicy and while the flavor of the broth was good, they didnt really put much in the stew. If you ever order Army Stew at a restaurant in Ktown, youll get a bowl PACKED with veggies and canned/processed meats and ramen noodles, but unfortunately I was left wanting more.My girlfriend ordered the Sweet Pumpkin Cheese Curry Katsu and we both liked it. The pumpkin flavor is very subtle and quiet but the dish as a whole was good and filling. While there arent a lot of servers, they were all very nice and did their best to help everyone. There is paid parking in the back but there should be plenty of free street parking as well.Overall, I would probably pass on the army stew and get one of their other soups next time.
