Jiou Chu Dumplings in Rowland Heights

One of the great dumpling franchise from Taiwan. Come early to avoid crowd. Food can be ordered by scanning the QR code placed on the table. The ordering website has full description and pictures of the food. The atmosphere is nice for friends and family gathering. The staff noticed its our first time and lead us in every steps and made excellent suggestions of what to order. All in all, it was a positive experience.

The dumplings are decent but nothing special. The price is high compared to similar restaurants serving dumplings nearby. When I was here the service was slow and it was during early lunch hours with only 3 tables so that was disappointing. If you like dumplings and have a steep pocket then go ahead and give it a try, but dont have high expectations because it was mediocre at best.

The restaurant is rather new so the environment is very comfortable, clean, and you can really enjoy your meal there. However, dumpling selection is few if you don’t eat pork or are vegetarian. The veggie roll with scallion pancake would be your option. The hot and sour soup was good except it has meat that I didn’t expect to be in it. The soup dumpling is what they are known for which actually looks good if you are craving it.

Clean, bright restaurant known for its pan fried and boiled dumplings. The dumplings are relatively small, with tasty fillings said to be so juicy that can be described as “flowing” (流心). They are not flowing for sure😃. The scallion pancakes used in the veggie wraps (蔬菜捲餅) were stood out: crispy and flavorful. The steamed dumplings (xiao long bao 小籠包)were ok.Service was very good. The place was not crowded when we were there between 4:30 and 5:30 on a recent Sunday afternoon.

My wife and I wanted to go back and try some different items. The first time we went, the food was really good and we really enjoyed it. We were looking forward to the XLB, which didnt disappoint. We also tried the beef roll and beef noodle soup with tendons and tripe. The noodle soup was really good, beef, tendon and tripe was was tender and not tough. The beef roll was okay, too much green onions. The service was really good, our server, Asya was really good and helpful. Our food and drinks came out very promptly. Will be going back again. Wondering when they will be going to regular business hours (still in soft opening mode).

It was our first time, it is actually pretty good. Good food. I am Asian so I do very strict reviews on Asian food. My husband saw some bad reviews but I still insist on trying it.

Find this restaurant on tiktak, and we decided to try it out. We got here right at 5 pm, just right when they opened. There was a crew of people there as we checked in, but unfortunately, we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated . Long story short, I think their dumplings are average, I had better ones elsewhere. Its not worth it for the drive to get dumplings here. Hopefully, they will improve the food next time we come back.

I was curious about Jiou Chu since it’s new in the area and it’s by 85 Degrees. The food was service was great. I had the pork xiao long bao dumplings, which were delicious. The mixed pork ear kelp was marinated well. The pan fried dumplings beef & mozzarella are a must. My favorite dish was the beef noodle soup.Come and give them a try!

Jiou Chu Dumplings, owned by 85 Degrees Bakery Café, is well-known for its lengthy wait times during peak lunch and dinner hours. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and offers excellent menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is new and clean, and to expedite your wait, you can check in via Yelp using the tablet at the entrance. While the food is decent and standard, its real highlights are the signature dishes. Id recommend avoiding the rolls since you can find better beef rolls elsewhere. Personally, I visit Jiou Chu Dumplings exclusively for their signature Xiao Long Bao and Panfried Dumplings. Im deducting one star due to the overrated reviews; this place isnt worth a lengthy wait.Quick tips: Parking can be challenging during peak hours, as its shared with numerous other bustling restaurants in the same plaza. If youre keen on trying the signature Xiao Long Bao, make sure to arrive early, as they tend to sell out quickly during dinner time.
