My first experience dining at Joanne Cafe was truly delightful. The atmosphere instantly brought back fond memories of my childhood. The staff was exceptionally friendly, with Bobbie as our server who provided excellent service. The teams collaborative efforts were evident throughout our visit. And, of course, the food was absolutely delicious. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning to Joanne Cafe in the future.

This place has the bear breakfast Ive had in a while. I ordered the jumbo breakfast which includes 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, and hash browns. Everything on that plate was made to perfection, and tasted delicious. Im not in there area much, but any time Im traveling through there Ill most likely stop at Joannes Cafe.

Excellent service & excellent food. Love this American diner. Lots of regulars & locals frequent this diner. Owner is one of the hardest working women I know & youll see her there daily. Definitely my go to spot for a bite when Im passing through Ontario.

You may know this place as Joannes but me and my family call it the. Turtle Place. the food is very good with big potatoes a very friendly staff the owner very nice, never a dull moment here a nice cafe with lots of Breakfest meals lunch also come early leave happy and full I believe there only open till 3:00. Grabbed a Saturday brunch here, expectations were met. Country fried steak B+, hash browns C-, burger B, fries, coffee and zucchini all get an A. Service was slow but friendly. Lot of guests and staff speaking Spanish- if you’re looking for that classic American breakfast food but feel more comfortable speaking Spanish then this is a great option! $35 for everything in the pic

Love this restaurant! The food doesnt taste manufactured, but like, food.Pot Roast is great, the grilled cheese made my granddaughter very happy and she ate without any fuss. She also wanted the zucchini bread, (which was devoured by her and grandpa). Overall, this restaurant has been a great place for a good meal.

Mom & Pop cafe with good food and friendly staff. My favorite is Joannes omelet with ham, spinach, mushrooms & lots of cheese and avocado. Dont forget to ask for a side of salsa. 👌🏼 My second favorite is the vegetarian Eggs Benedict with a side of sausage. The coffee is good and their zucchini bread is rich & dense.

Mini Avocado, Bacon & Tomato omelette is very nice, and the cinnamon roll is not a roll but a loaf, which means you should not eat the whole thing in one sitting. Unless you can’t help yourself, in which case you should probably not eat the rest of the day. Food came fast. Restaurant could be cleaner. Definitely worth visiting.

Food was great, but the prejudice wasnt, the waitress never asked if we needed anything, after food was served, the clean up man when asked to come bcuz we needed some hot sauce slammed down his tray, huffed and said what. When cashing out she (our waitress) asked was everything OK, I explained to her about her prejudice and said I would never return. There is more to this story, 1st being the only black people in there, I still try to show how God, would handle the situation in love.

Great food, great service. Our server, Lety, was so nice, and even helped an elderly couple get out of their car and helped get their walker set up too. Coffee was hot, and refills frequent. I got the jumbo breakfast and the pancakes were nice and fluffy. Even the other patrons were super friendly. Hard to be grumpy with good food at a place that treats you like family.

Had a great experience here! My husband and I went for breakfast around 8am on a Saturday and it wasnt too crazy. The meals are large, so definitely share if you dont have a big appetite. My husband got a mini omelette and oatmeal, and I got the 2 eggs breakfast with hash browns, sausage and toast, and we shared a short stack of pancakes. It was MORE than enough food, and it was all delicious. Well definitely be coming back!

COFFEE use to be fantastic but within the last couple of months it turned horrible( we ate there three times hoping the coffee was just a fluke and would taste like it did before). why??? It’s water down and when it’s served it taste warm and not hot. we informed the manager, but she’s says it’s the same coffee. I’m like no, sorry, it’s not the same. Today, we brought our own coffee and we’re both satisfied.😊

Home style cooking at its finest...Pretty much everything is the bomb. Got to be honest except for their french fries, fried anything except fried chicken, and that’s OK, but as far as usual appetizers, you want to skip those. This is just my own opinion, if you want to get fried fast food type appetizers you know where to go here you want, For breakfast Hash and eggs, or omelettes...for dinner,I highly recommend the meatloaf with brown sauce. They give you the option of mushroom onion and bell pepper toppers, kind of like a steak, but for this meatloaf. I highly recommend getting that if you’d like those condiments, as it’s simply pure meat loaf with nothing inside it so it wouldn’t be redundant. Again highly recommend it.

I go here all the time. Awesome service and yummy food. Clean and calm. Breakfast has some mini omelettes (perfect size for me) and most of the dinner selections come with soup or salad before and DESSERT 😇 after your meal. I recommend everything they have but usually get the soup, filet of sole with a baked potato and for dessert the tapioca with whipped cream. Do not order this yummy combo though. I don’t want them to be out of it when I get there ;)

I came late lunch this time solo, place not busy, greeted and seated myself. Ordered lemonade and ground beef steak plain with fries well, corn and salad with blue cheese dressing. Server attentive asked if Id like beets and told her no and fries well and a refilled my drink. Salad and entree were great in taste and portioned. they honored my request the steak plain and was excellent for the value ($9.99 plus tax). I wish this is like this closer to me! Will be back!

If youre looking for a simple diner cafe, this could be your place. I came here a few weeks ago and now I remember why I didnt come back right away.The breakfast is completely overpriced. I paid over $30 for two breakfast plates. The first time.Today I came and thought I would be paying no more than $16 for my food. But I left paying over $20 for one breakfast plate and a small side of eggs. The menu on here that someone uploaded was outdated and now their prices have gone up by 5 dollars a plate!

Food is adequate, close to me . However, I have a legitimate service dog who is well behaved and the only time you notice him is when we come in and leave . He is always under the table and never leaves till we are ready. We always get seated as far away as they can seat us away from any customers they can. It is illegal to do so and I wont come again. I came in a couple of times to see if this is the usual way they handle service dogs. And it was.

Food is good. Did not appreciate how rude the waitress was. She is an older waitress and seemed very unconcerned with serving us or making sure we were ok. As she was letting the rest of her tables know she was leaving she skipped us and left without informing us who our new waitress would be. Unfortunately this has not been the first encounter with her. Even after I spoke with owner she continues to treat us indifferent.

While Im going to try it again, our food was not at all good. The salmon was not fresh, was not pink, and tasted a bit rancid. The ribs were much better, but still not good - I dont think the bottom membrane was removed before serving. The veggies were just a huge helping of way overcooked carrots. This place is AMAZINGINGLY GOOD. never have had an issue with anything Ive ordered. Nothing is bland its always so flavorful, the plates are HUGE portions, enough to make a breakfast lunch and dinner. The staff is super friendly and on it. I recommend everyone eat here at least once in their life.The only tiney thing that I wish they would have fixed is the broken iron bar by the turtle pond they have out front the hole is big enough for a toddler to easily walk right thru and fall in the pond. And the parents wont be able to get to them because they cant fit thru.

Old fashioned diner. This has become a favorite for the senior population in Ontario, California. Its usually busy, but we have never had to wait for a booth or table. Large portions of really good food. Salisbury steak has become my favorite, but the hamburgers and breakfasts are are also excellent. Their salads are incredibly fresh and their soups are made fresh daily. Get there early on Friday if you want the clam chowder. It usually sells out!

They have discriminatory seating practices. Poor Coffee, Customer Service was mediocre, and they seperate the customers based on race. The Black folks and darker skinned Mexican customers were sat in the back towards the bathrooms. All Whites and lighter skinned patrons were in front. All the customers noticed this. BE-AWARE. We do not recommend this place based on discriminatory seating.

Came for an after church meet up with friends and family. Decided to try the appetizer sampler, the chicken was thin and small, the cheese sticks had really bad tasting cheese in them too. Id say stick with main courses, their appetizers had my appetite running for the door. Sad to see a place with such good main dishes fail on the appetizers.

We have been coming to this place for years but last time they made us feel bad, we finished eating and a few minutes later the waitress came to us and said that we should leave because they had many people waiting, we used to be finishing the coffee and we were ready to go but thats not okay, I think it was the owners orders, its not okay, its definitely not okay to rush the customers very disappointed we will not return to this place

Its an American Style Café...several steps up from Dennys type...privately owned.The cooks will make you ANYTHING if they have the ingredients, like SPINACH salad or steamed ( not on menu but they will make it!) Great HOME FRIES! NOT a GOURMET PLACE...just down home food and plenty for the price. Not a diet place, however they do have salads and fresh fruit and sugar free syrup, egg beaters, cottage chees etc. . LOTS of OVER 50 CUSTOMERS, but weekends are FOR FAMILIES! The BEST BREAKFASTS at the best prices. Try a FRITTATA OMLETTE! You can sub the sausage for bacon or ham. Great home-made MEXICAN SALSA made fresh daily. Home made soups are better than many. GREAT CLAM CHOWDER on Fridays. They make a decent Eggs Benedict also and the PORK CHOPS ARE GREAT...( not dried out!). For dinner try the SALMON or POT ROAST. Old fashioned TAPIOCA is good too! ( Clean Bathrooms a plus!)
