Good food, great service and amazing atmosphere. The hummus is to die for, the hamburger was good as well and the surprise of the day was the apple pie, made with puff pastry. Prices are what you would expect in Manhattan Beach, so all good.

My first time dinning at Joeys. A friend of mines recommended it. So after church we headed out. Parking was not a big hassle, since I have use of a cane. Staff & Hostess were very friendly and helpful with selections and placing an order. I already new what I wanted: Korean Fried Cauliflower, Roasted Corn Guacamole, Old Fashion & Molten chocolate cake.My only disappointment was restaurant didnt serve brown rice. Only white rice 😔 I hope they consider bringing the brown rice back. Im a big Vegetable Head, so was very pleased 😁 I/We will be returning to dine again.

Good food, and a vibe like a Houston’s. When you walk into the restaurant, they offer you a glass of complimentary sparkling wine. The building itself is very nice. I got the Herb Crush Salmon and the Bollywood Butter Chicken. The salon was flavorful and was accompanied by a good sauce. The butter chicken was okay. The service was also okay.

We tried only ordering food from the happy hour menu at Joey in Manhattan Beach, and while some items were great others I’d recommend passing and just paying the full price for regular menu entrees.Vibe: The atmosphere is really the reason to go. They have a large patio with glass barriers so it feels covered and it’s not too windy. The servers are friendly and eager to chat.Must order: Our favorite thing was the Roasted Corn Guacamole, $13 on Happy Hour. We really liked that it had pickled red onions, corn, fresh tomatoes, and delicious corn tortilla chips.Eh: We were surprised when the chicken with the chicken on the Szechuan lettuce wraps came out fried/breaded. The metal dish is aesthetically appropriate, and there’s a lot of flavor. We liked sauce on the side, and the sliced red peppers have a good kick!Coffee: Unfortunately, the coffee was the worst part. I usually don’t like restaurant coffee coffee as much as from cafes/coffee shops, and I should have gone with the tea. The hot oat milk latte was most definitely not worth the $7.Sushi: The other worst part was the $16.50 happy hour Tuna & Avocado Roll. As a quality sushi fan, I’d pass on this. Hopefully their other sushi rolls are better, although I’d previously thought you can’t mess up a tuna avocado roll.Overall: Looking around at what other tables ordered, I recommend you get the steak, salmon, or one of the chicken salads along with your guacamole, and not the sushi or chicken lettuce wraps.

When Tin Roof is closed for lunch you gotta go check out Joey!Amongst other locations, their food is very consistent. I have an obsession with the tacos, I get them every time I can’t help it. We told our server that we would be sharing and they were thoughtful enough to go ahead and bring us out the dish divided .I would say the sushi roll was a smidge of a letdown. It’s so tiny.The cauliflower appetizer is also delicious. I get it every time.Our service was very nice. Do you give yourself time they are really busy. And service can take a little bit long. I’m sure it’s due to staffing.And I love the decor of the place, it’s hip and modern and comfortable!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy but we had reservations so we were seated fairly quickly. The ambiance of the location is nice and our waitress - (Im terrible with names!) - was very nice and engaging. She was very helpful in making suggestions from the menu. She even provided us a sample of one of their signature drinks. We ordered a variety of appetizers and drinks (all which were good). The Korean Fried Cauliflower was extremely tasty! The food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time. Our entrees were hot and very aesthetically pleasing! Everyone agreed that their meal tasted as good as it looked. We all enjoyed our meals and were completely satisfied when we were done. I would definitely recommend the Manhattan Beach location although I plan to try the other locations as well.

We came to Joey on a date night and it’s been a while since we’ve had service this good. Isaiah was super cool and helpful. I ordered the Steak and sushi (a combination I never knew I needed in my life🤤) and my wife ordered the chicken parm, both were super good. Drinks were also on point! Definitely coming back.

———-update (JAN23)—————I had a chance to revisit the JOEY manhattan, and my impression was changed. My friend who visited this place for the first time and I really enjoyed the food and the vive. Most importantly, I did not have any problem with the waiting system that I was not happy about last time (I waited, but that was okay). I felt delighted to re-visit this place, and that was the right decision.——————————————————The first visit with my coworkers during the lunch time was super great, so I decided to take my friend again for dinner. Had to wait for an hour even some of the outdoor tables were empty. (I was told I had to wait for 30 mins when I listed myself) when I went back to the front desk staff and told her We are okay with the outdoor tables, we could finally take a seat even after waiting for 10 more mins. I think restaurant staffs who help the listings should have asked people from the beginning whether the outdoor table is okay or not. Even after we took a seat, nobody came for water or menu. When we asked one of server who was passing by us for another table, another server (who was super nice and kind finally) came and helped us order.The food was okay. Disappointed in the way restaurant handling the waiting list. Won’t go there when it’s crowded.

Took my girlfriend here the day before Valentines Day. I made a reservation just in case. We arrived a few mins early and checked in. Waited about 5 mins til we got seated.Ambiance is nice, clean, dimly lit. Very nice if you want to have a casual or romantic dinner with your significant other.Food was delicious! As a food enthusiast and cook I can say I enjoyed the food and it was well executed.Drinks were smooth and just the right amount of strong! We did two rounds before the dinner was over. Highly recommend. Def would come back!

Loved the vibe at Joeys especially this location in Manhattan Beach. They have other at stores and restaurants and a parking garage which is always a plus in Los Angeles.Lots of outdoor seating and just overall very friendly staff. Our table wasn’t ready when we got there but they offered us a glass of sparkling white wine while we waited. We went for happy hour and they had lots of choices and food was delicious. My favorite was the seared salmon sushi and the sushi cone.I’ve been to other Joeys before so I know the rest of the menu is also really good including the lobster ravioli.

Doing Dry January, I very much appreciated their non-alcoholic beverages. I got the She Pretty N/A drink for a whopping $11. Loved that it was served in a coupe glass but it was absurdly sweet. I also got the burger protein style and it was good. Fries were excellent. Everyone else liked their dishes as well. I heard so many reviews on this place. I finally made a reservation with my family. Party of 11. Hostess was very nice and we were seated outside. Our table was tight so I asked the waiter for a bigger table. He said he couldn’t accommodate because it’s not allowed. Mind you there’s no one sitting next to us on both sides. Our waiter is meh. No personality whatsoever. Service was very slow. The food was good and I definitely recommend the steak frites. I would come back but if we get a nicer waiter.

We stopped by when visiting Manhattan beach area. The restaurant is beautiful and had a great atmosphere, but felt like service was lacking. Our food took a very long time to come out, server never checked up on us (as she seemed overwhelmed with a larger party), and the food wasn’t that great. I didn’t like the chicken salad but the spicy tuna roll was pretty decent. I would say they had great drinks, so I’d come back for the margarita.

I absolutely LOVED my experience this afternoon at JOEY! Right off the bat, the atmosphere is incredibly inviting, so beautifully put together. The host staff are so kind, and did an incredible job making me feel welcome. Our waitress was so sweet, literally one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen and never once made me feel stupid even though I absolutely was out of place at the restaurant. Lastly the GM was there as well, sharing her tips on the food and she made me feel so loved and welcomed! Will definitely be back!

I’m late to writing this review! This restaurant was close to the airport LAX. I had just came from a flight and stopped by for a bite to eat with family. I went a few months ago but I loved the experience. While we waited for our table we were offered champagne. Time went by very quickly. The service was great! Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu had great recommendations. The menu was diverse there was something for everyone in my party. Fancy drinks. I can’t wait to dine here again! It’s a bit far from home OC but worth the drive. I really suggest coming to eat here if your looking to try something new. Guaranteed an eye catching dinner or a romantic date.

Having a great experience at JOEY Woodland Hills, I was excited to check out JOEY Manhattan Beach. However, it just wasnt the same. It couldve been because it wasnt a Friday night vibe. Instead, it was lunchtime on a regular day. I guess I just prefer the night ambiance better at Joey.I continue to love the complimentary glass of champagne when you arrive. It just gives that extra bougie feels. However, once we were sat, that feeling started drifting away when no one came to our table for 15 minutes. I finally went up to the front and asked the hostess whats the deal. They apologized and quickly got our waiter. He then apologized and took our order.Hubby and I were both craving a steak. So we went for that. Both the food and drinks were good. I would come back but on a Friday or Saturday night at the WH location.

Restaurant with eclectic mix of menu options, from steak to sushi to pasta. It’s like a Canadian Hillstone. Came here a couple of times for work lunches, but note that the pace is a bit more relaxed, so it may be more suitable for eating with friends or family. Outdoor and indoor dining is available. Free parking is available in the parking garage and it’s a quick walk. Credit cards are accepted. They offer sparkling wine at the entrance. They accept reservations as well as walk-ins.As mentioned previously, there is a variety of dishes. Portions are reasonable. Get an order of truffle fries and Korean cauliflower for your appetizers. The yellowfin tuna salad is light and tasty, or you could get the poke bowl if you want something slightly more substantial. For those with heavier appetites, they do have steaks and burgers. There is a vegetarian/vegan section of the menu, and a few options for those who are gluten-free. For dessert, the chocolate cake is small but heavy - you could split it between two people. They don’t charge for soda refills.Overall, it’s a nicer casual place to grab some food and have enough options for a varied group of people.

What a great new addition to Manhattan Beach!Our group of four went on a Friday night around 6:45pm without a reservation. Our wait for a table indoors was about 45 minutes. Not to bad considering the place was full to the brim both inside and out.The complimentary champagne offered by the hostess was a nice touch. And enjoyed by all.Everyone absolutely loved their main dish but I can only give a first person account on mine. The Joey Classic steak was cooked to perfection! Seasoned just perfect, and was juicy and tender though out.The fully loaded crispy mashed potatoes were absolute heaven. Such a unique take on a traditional dish. The outside was crispy and reminded me of a sort of pastry roll. But the inside was pure mashed potatoes goodness!My meal: JOEY Classic Steak (top sirloin)featuring our famous fully loaded crispy mashed potatoes, asparagus.Our waiter Elijah was amazing! Helping my friend find his perfect scotch for the evening. I stopped at Joey for a quick lunch. Ordered the fish tacos and an iced tea at the bar. The bartender was quick and efficient. Less than 10 mins later the food runner brought my order out. The food runner was super sweet, funny, and charming. She was the star of my lunch experience. The food, however, was just ok. The tortillas were right out of the package. Didn’t seem like they were griddled or toasted in any way. Grainy. The TWO medium sized tacos were well filled but nothing incredible. Fried fish and shrimp with lettuce, guac, and garnish. The ice tea was out of the soda gun. Including tip, lunch was over $40.I don’t mind spending any amount of money on amazing food. This was definitely not a $40+ lunch meal.

Incredible food and drinks!I loved the Moscow Mule with Tequila as well as the Real Peach Bellini. They both have a slushy added element to them but still strong & flavorful.The Truffle Parmesan fries are perfectly seasoned & the dipping sauce is so good.The Seared Salmon Sushi was unbelievable, the sear on the salmon gives you that perfect crunch just like with crème brûlée - 10/10, must try.The Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli was incredible. The cream sauce has the perfect hint of lemon alongside the small cut pieces of asparagus added a nice crunch with the ravioli - highly recommend.The Warm Italian Donuts are perfect if you’re full but still want to finish with something sweet. It’s not too heavy of a dessert and very delicious - loved the mascarpone cream and lemon curd to dip the donuts in.I will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious! We’ll be returning.We walked in and put our names down for a 30m wait at 5p. Not bad. We were offered complimentary champagne which was light and fruity. The atmosphere was very inviting with good music. Love that you can wait outside or visit the mall.Once seated the waiter was very helpful. They do have a kids menu though not written (chicken tenders, pasta, sliders). I always carry crayons and paper which was a good thing here.We started with the hummus plate which did not disappoint.For dinner we had the salmon, poke bowl, and kids sliders. My husband said it was one of the best poke bowls he’s ever had. The salmon was unbelievably delicious. The kids loved their sliders (my husband sampled them and said they good).We also ordered the donuts for dessert and they were fantastic! They were served on a bed of lite pudding.I should likely knock off a star for for one kid’s plate coming late (this led to minor problems) and the other kid fries were cold and not very good… but we really had a nice time. This restaurant is definitely one of the best in Manhattan Beach, if not the best. Since it was recently built and opened, this place is very stylish and spacious. Each table is separated with plastic barriers, which is quite beneficial during coronavirus. Due to covid, inside dining is still unavailable, but the patio is opened and very comfortable. The personnel is very friendly and attentive. The food is super delicious, original, and cooked quickly and served nifty. We will definitely visit this restaurant again for new discoveries. Complementary champaign at the entrance was also a pleasant surprise.

Wow. I havent gone outdoor dining since last year, pre-pandemic.JOEY did everything and more to make me feel totally safe. All staff wore masks and gloves. Some wore face shields as well. The outdoor set up was phenomenal with well social distanced seating and plexiglass between booths. The indoor area was very much open air as well with big glass windows/walls that opened as well. Beautiful overall and SO COVID conscious.Our server was Oliver and he was AWESOME. The drinks we had by Clayton were delicious.Upon entrance, I noticed the very well dressed staff. From the servers to the hosts to the bartenders, everyones uniforms were very professional and classy. The restrooms were SUPER clean, and every patron had individual rooms with sinks, and signs on each door that read ALL GENDER which I absolutely love. Love the inclusivity but also, not having to share a restroom during this pandemic.We had a small tasting menu but every single thing we ordered was delicious. The Japanese Ceviche was definitely my favorite followed by the Katsu Chicken Salad. We also ordered the Bollywood Butter Chicken and that basmati rice was SO flavorful.For my beverage, I had to try the Signature Sangria. I usually prefer more fresh fruits in my Sangria but this one was only garnished with an orange wedge. Still, so yummy.Oliver made sure to get us everything we ordered in a timely manner and frequently checked in on us, asking for feedback about our menu selection. I especially appreciated his input when I couldnt decide on my order. We even had management staff walk by to check in on our experience.This was the first time Ive dined out since the pandemic and I am so excited to bring my family next time. We finally got to eat here. We had tried previously however the wait times were prohibited. I would recommend making a reservation as opposed to walking up. We walked up, we were told 30 minutes but it was probably 15-20 minutes. We were seated inside but close to the patio. The restaurant is open and allows outdoor air to circulate. The food we ordered the steak and lobster raviolis as an appetizer, a Moscow mule cocktail and bottled water. For dinner my husband had the shrimp and lobster raviolis and I had the Joey Steak medium rareupgraded to filet ( $54 wallet hit but worth it ) with broccoli. I do not like asparagus. The steak comes with loaded mashed potatoes ( mashed potatoes ina wonton wrapper with the bacon and cheese sprinkled on top). I expected the appetizer to be raviolis with lobster and steak inside. The food was warm when it got to the table but not for long based on where we were seated. The entrees were delicious. My filet was so tender it was wonderful. My broccoli was nicely chard I told my husband to not eat all his raviolis and leave room for dessert. For dessert I had the apple pie (Tart Tatum) with a slice of cheddar cheese. My husband had a molten chocolate cake. We will definitely come back there are more items to try

Came in last night looking for a late night dinner. We were seated at the bar because we explained to the greeter that we were short on time because we were picking up someone from the airport. You get one star just so I can enter my review. The apps were good, but I cant tell you how the food was, because by the time our server brought it to our table, the food was cold. The guy had the nerve to blame the kitchen, when anyone would know food doesnt come off the grill cold. It got cold cuz he let it sit there for 15-20 mins. Plus, it took him about 25 mins to come and take our order after we were already done with our apps. Said he would send the manager over to our table, which he never did. This guy def needs to find a different job. The manager was great tho. BTW, kitchen staff, we know it wasnt your fault but you may want to ask Cameron why he blames you for his lack of service.

JOEY was a new experience for me. The menu selections are really varied, which is great. From meat to fish to plant, youve got an option. I had the salmon. It was perfectly cooked, and served on a bed of mashed potatoes and vegetables. The vegetables and potatoes were very tasty, and highly complemented the salmon. While it is not the restaurants problem, the left turn from Sepulveda into Manhattan Village needs attention as I had to wait for three lights to turn left.

Went there for lunch and truly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very nice and everyone is very polite and helpful. As soon as you arrive they offer complimentary champagne. Our servers name was Rosie. She was a phenomenal server. She had recommendations on what we should get. For appetizers we had sushi cones and the wings. Both were delicious. The wings were a little overpriced but tasty. We also had the steak and some sushi. The fried mashed potatoes were very good. Basically a mashed potato egg roll. My steak was a little under done but the flavor was perfect.While the food is delicious what really sets this place apart is definitely the service. Will absolutely be going back and will take pictures next time.

I would never recommend to go here based on their service. I went with some friends for a birthday dinner (about 12 of us), my friend said she wasn’t allowed to make a reservation since they were unable to take anymore. Which is really weird for a Wednesday night. We got there around 7:20 and were told that there would be about an 80 minute wait. Mind you, we waited until about 8:30 for the rest of our party to all show up since she said she wouldn’t seat us unless the full party was there. Even after that, she mentioned that there was no seating available yet and that we may have to wait another 40-88 minutes, which is oddly specific. I decided to ask if she wouldn’t mind sitting us even if it’s separate tables that are near by since there were plenty of smaller tables open. She said let me see what I can do and did absolutely nothing.Fast forward to us finally being seated around 9 PM. We were seated at a table that still could not accommodate the whole party then moved out to the extended outside patio which was empty to begin with… at 7:20… We finally order drinks and food which took a LONG time to come out. I ordered a burger that came out after everyone had already eaten their food since they apparently forgot about my plate. At that point I sent it back and told them to take it off the bill because of their horrible service.You’d expect much better from a place with such high reviews.

Tl;dr: Honestly, it was just ok. Nothing about the service or the food stood out to me or anyone in our party of 11 to say Oh wow, this place is 5 stars. Not worth the $700 we spent and probably wont be back to celebrate anything here again. Might be nice for a first date or dinner though.When I called them two weeks ago to place the reservation I didnt speak to anyone and placed it online. They say itll take 48 hours max but it took about 3 days to hear back. I missed a call and they left voicemail later that said I was all set however when I tried to move the reservation there was a lot of confusion as to whether I even had a reservation. I never spoke to anyone over the phone, it was all through text or email which felt a little impersonal and the confusion showed some communication issues but things did eventually get resolved. I was given a 3 hour dine time window which I didnt think wed need but with it being busy and a Saturday I understood why they space their reservations out so far apart.When we arrived, the table wasnt ready and we had to wait while they set it up and even when they did, it was rushed. They seated us in their high top tables and the set up was not ideal but we made it work. Our server was nice but seemed to have a lot of tables to handle so he took a long time to come back between taking our orders for drinks, food, and appetizers. The food wasnt bad though Id say it was a little on the pricey side but the quality was there. I dont regret going but wish things had been a bit smoother and less hectic.By the end, I was just ready to get the check and get out. Overall, an average experience that felt lacking but we had a good time. If you ask for a reservation for a larger party be sure to provide plenty of specifications for any needs you may have and be sure to get an email confirmation well before you get there, just in case.

Had a late lunch with our friends from Manhattan Beach yesterday. This was our second visit. Great location and beautiful restaurant. I ordered the Seared Ahi salad and unfortunately was quite disappointed. The Ahi was less than petite, almost a garnish. My wife had the Salmon salad and it was wonderfully. Hopefully they can do better next time.
