The food was very generic Americanized Italian at a upscale price. When I got the bill, I thought it was a joke for the quality. My stuffed shells were cold. The food was just very average. After going to Italy and tasting real Italian, this was a sad comparison. I will say there service was very nice. The restaurant was very outdated and had loud Karaoke playing. I wouldn’t be eating here again sadly.

The service & food was excellent! I had the Veal Cannelloni dinner & hubby had the spaghetti with meatballs & sausage ravioli dinner. Both were exceptional! The only complaint would be they didnt have Italian Margaritas. Maybe theyll add them to the menu soon! Please!!!Hubby & I tried the super supreme pizza last night. Sorry to say I wasnt happy with it. The crust was dry, too hard & not enough sauce. I think Ill stick with Dominos.
I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce, cheesy toast and a salad. You are better off buying a spaghetti TV dinner. the pasta was so over cooked it was chewy and gummy and there was little to no sauce and three pieces of meat. I ended up using my own canned sauce because there was just no sauce.
I have been dining at Johnny Russos for years when I travel to LA and back to the high desert where I live. It’s always been great. Until the last couple times and tonight was not so good. I always get manicotti with Alfredo sauce. They used to serve in a nice big plate with 3 large stuffed manicotti smothered in sauce. Now they stuff two smaller ones on a small plate with little sauce yet charge more. The taste was good though I must say. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich to go for my friend and if there were 2 ounces of meat on It I’d be surprised. Barely any meat or cheese but a huge French roll so all bread. Very poor wine selection. Needless to say I won’t be going back which is sad because it has been a tradition for years.
Im a local here and Ive eaten here many times over the years but this was the most disappointing meal Ive ever had there. I wont go back. We had spaghetti and meatballs. He had the soup and I had the salad. My dressing for the salad was so watered down and runny. There was no flavor and it didnt even stick to the lettuce. The meatballs were half the size that they used to be. And the meat sauce wasnt even enough to cover the pasta. Of course or order was to go so none of this was known until I got home. And the cost was an astronomical $53. Yes, you heard correctly, $53 for 2 orders of spaghetti and meatballs. Never again will I patronize them and I say that sadly because, like I said, Im a local that has patronized them for years. But this was unacceptable.
Fantastic service by Ariel. Promptly seated, appetizer of Fried Zucchini. We had salad. Choose the raspberry vinaigrette.Order the Oso Bucco its delicious. Charming atmosphere, home cooking taste and wall art painted by Mrs. Russo herself.Best choice within 10 miles for dinner.
Stopped in randomly on our drive home to Hemet from the desert area. We were quickly seated, for Saturday dinner time this was amazing. The lasagna was the best Ive had in a while. Well be sure to stop by again on our next trip.

Im very particular about Alfredo Fettuccine, and they score big on the taste and texture! I like how they offer you a choice of regular or garlic bread, of course I love garlic. I chose soup of the day, which was clam chowder, & to my surprise it wasnt salty! Kudos to them, and major kiddos to having pumpkin cheesecake, a very rare find!!! Yum....especially on my birthday...Yaaay!!!

We moved to Banning a year ago and have had good luck with this place, I am Siciliano and had a well known uncle named Johnny Russo in the 1940s in San Bernardino, I do not know what happened to the Italian sausage last time I ordered, it was hard and dry,we made our own as a kid, and buy it at clairos Italian deli in upland, we will give this place another go.but will ask about their sauasge.
Close to school where wife had graduation 10 of us good service . Fair food . Better than olive garden I guess.

Very disappointed went there to celebrate a birthday and simply put the food was lousy no taste, service was fair at best and the place (at least at our table) was warm. Maybe I was expecting much better after reading the reviews but it was a major let down.
We stopped here on our way to LAX as a random off the road spot. We had such great service and felt so welcome by the staff. One of the employees who was working phones ended up seating us and making sure we felt comfortable and at home.

Called in and Ordered a 16 Veggie pizza.. Taste was very good as usual, but pizza was very overcooked.. Kids were not able to eat the pizza due to it being to hard.. Compland to waitress but did not ask for another pizza due to limited time.. Im a regular customer and im usually very pleased with food here however todays pizza was very disappointing..

Was pretty good food. I had the Spaghetti with Italian sausage and meat sauce. Was very good. My only complaint is not enough sauce on the spaghetti, but ordered some to go so I could add later. So no biggie, FYI, it was a Huge plate of Pasta.
I haven’t ordered for over 8 months as I want happy but tonight I was craving what they use to be, I door dashed chicken pacita which is suppose to be served with Angel hair pasta…. Nope I got spaghetti when I called all asked said was sorry….. never again so sad as I loved them once

Just walked out of Russo’s for the second time because either we are invisible or they just like to ignore us. How long are we expected to wait and watch other people that came in after us get served? A couple of years ago I actually got served cold rigatoni. I guess they think the sauce is suppose to heat the pasta up. I especially like the terrible fake garlic bread. I think.I Have finally learned my lesson. As far as I know this place doesn’t exist anymore.

Food is delicious but dont order for delivery. They didnt send my Au Ju sauce for my French Dip, nor my salad. The sandwich didnt even have mustard on it like the menu says. I didnt get my pickle either. Went to go pick up the missing stuff and they gave me a salad with no dressing.
Generally when you walk into an Italian Restaurant you should be able to smell garlic and oregano in the air, but not here. The manicotti was not hot, it was cold in the center thinking it was reheated just warm around the edges, not freshly made. Sauces was tasteless. The Chicken Picada was a disappointment since the sliced chicken was cold on top and not fried. Will give this place another try when they have a different cook who knows how to present Italian meals. No complaints with the service, it was great.

I had dinner with my family here tonight. I ordered spaghetti and it was awful!! The noodles didnt taste like they were cooked long enough and their spaghetti sauce wasnt tasty. I added cheese and salt for taste but it still had no flavor. I had a couple bites of it and took the rest home.
The food was hot and the service was ok as was the food. The garlic bread turns out is a hamburger bun grilled with garlic butter and was ok. The first serving of garlic bread we received was hard and over grilled the second serving was not over grilled. The zucchini serving was very small for the price however the mozzarella sticks were very good and hot.
This place is outstanding. The food and the waitresses are great. You always feel very welcomed and they really go out of there way to make sure everything is right. We always tell our friends and family if you want a great Italian lunch or dinner you need to go to Johnny Russos you wont be sorry. We took my daughter in law there for her birthday and she said that was the best Italian food shes ever had. So go check it out you wont be sorry.
Picked up a couple orders of Chicken Alfredo after work today. They were delicious! The choice of soup with the Alfredo was very creamy & tasty. The salad was fresh & topped with lots of cheese. I dont know who the cooks are but they are doing a really great service with their food. The young lady who assisted me was very personable & attentive. I highly recommend this place for families & take home orders as well.

My husband and I enjoyed the Russo Trio with garlic bread and the sampler platter. It was PLENTY of delicious food and was nice and hot when served. There was live music Friday night, he was talented and fun to sing along with. We had a great experience and look forward to going back.
Date night and as we drove past Russos I notice i was not busy on Friday at 4 pm. How about we eat there- the food was always good? We had not eaten there since we moved from the Pass area. 10+ years later and we were not disappointed - it was great! My husband/date notices the Russo trio was dinner for two and we went for that. Absolutely a fantastic deal for 25 dollars. The clam chowder was good but the blue cheeses dressing is not (pick a different dressing). We had a to go box for left overs!

First time visit to Johnny Russos restaurant. They have a variety of great selections of Italian dishes to choose from with good size portions. We had a real treat to be able to visit on a evening where they had live music provided by Jamestown.We definitely will be back!
Mmmm. The food is decent, the staff is kind. Their bread is delicious and so is their ranch. I enjoy eating their salad with the lunch special. Its alright. Staff has been a little rude but we ignore it. Ive seen the restaurant be tended by 2 waitresses and its packed. So there is a shortage in staffing.

Host staff was friendly. The food was delicious. The amount of food felt right for the quality and quantity of our food. We didnt have any problems with our custom orders.The restroom appeared clean. Restrooms were older but well maintained and appeared clean.We were so hungry when we arrived we forgot to take pictures.
Super tasty and amazing service! The restaurant was clean, excellent parking, attentive wait staff, and timely ticket times. It was a great way to catch up with an old friend and get to know his wife and in laws. I hope to eat there again next time I visit. My lasagna was tasty, and the atmosphere was perfect for what we were there for. The cream of potato soup was a little thick, and we did have a little surprise in one the salads but all in all everything was handled well and we had a great time!
Called while I was in line and was put on hold. They didnt even get to me after 7 minutes on hold. People behind me went up to the register to order.
Food was good and portions were nice. The service was good but quite slow, just under 2 hours from arriving to leaving. It was a Friday night so I will give them some slack and I definitely would eat here again. Just my opinion though, put the pasta and marinara in its own dish and not next to my ribeye. Steak tasted like marinara not ideal.
I personally love this place. Maybe its the name... Or maybe its the friendly personal service... It most definitely could be the garlic bread. Perfection, is what they should call the chicken wings. Baked all awesome in the oven. The lasagna is a must have almost legendary. I only say legendary because my family has 3 generations that would testify to the lasagna being their favorite dish. My personal must have is the grinders and the chicken wings. The salad is always a staple on my order and in my family, we need both the old style Italian dressing and the house style Italian dressing too. The ambiance in this place is nostalgic and inviting. The only damper is that around 9/18/21; i called the store to add an order of chicken wings to my check and they placed me on a brief hold....which lasted 15 minutes! I was still on hold as i entered the establishment and saw no line, just a hostess and i assume a server just chatting it up by the register, while i had been on hold the entire time. 😫 I was going to complain but then the owner and his wife came out to the front, treated us like family, gave us some free salads and garlic bread too. I was so delighted by the encounter, i instantly forgot about the phone situation . So bc I forgot about it, i didnt bother to factor that experience into my rating. Great food, good service and i am 100% returning customer.

The atmosphere is dated, no liquor, senior citizens mostly dining here and we can cook everything better. They put so much oil and butter on the veggies, it looks disgusting and inedible. Clams seemed canned. Nothing tasted fresh. Olive Garden is 10 steps up from this place and we rarely eat there.

She brought food then when we all there laughing and talked theres a guy walking towards us and brutally to my gf, why you bringing food at my place ? Your killing my business! I do understand but there are many ways to approach and still civilized. My good gf bf was very nice and told the owner he take care it. The owner looks like crashing party because he did not dress presentable but just odd. im the owner im sorry but please we all think its ok but its not. *** Friendly staff*** Got the lunch special manicotti with salad. The salad was fresh and had alot of cheese and I was pleased with the portion size. The garlic toast was hot and crusty and the manicotti was came quickly fresh out of the oven with lots of cheese! My server Brittany was very polite, friendly, attentive, and even packed my leftovers to go for me 🙂 Forgot to take pictures of my food but there are plenty on here. I felt the food had good flavor overall being only slightly authentic yet fresh and tasty. Ive included a picture of the bill for Price reference. Food was okay nothing spectacular. In fact more on the disappointing end. The restaurant was recommended by some locals who made it seem like this was high in Italian food. It simply wasnt. It did hit the spot as far as taking care of our hunger pangs but nothing to write home about.
Amazing as always. Great sauce, great service. The only thing I didnt like today was the broccoli in the veggie lasagna. But it was still good. And it was fresh. The best thing here is the Italian wedding soup. Best around.

My family and I stop by every time we go out of town. Absolutely love the food here, however service is on the flat side. We get seated fairly quickly but to place our order is challenging more times than not. It seems they are understaffed or lack leadership. There doesn’t seem to be any sense of urgency and the restaurant isn’t always packed when we go so this would be my only complaint. Staffing structure needs a tightening!
As always, the food was delicious and plentiful. Still hoping to see Spaghetti Carbonara on the menu soon. Service was somewhat slower than usual last night, even though there was not an overflow crowd. We needed help a couple of times for small things and had to get it from a different waitress; it seemed like our waitress was not very attentive ... unusual.
Took a minute or so for the wait staff to notice me standing and waiting to be seated. I was shown to an extra large booth that had excellent views of the mountains just as the sun was setting. My order was taken quickly however, they forgot to bring my drink out with the dinner salad.The dinner salad was deliciously fresh and I enjoyed the raspberry dressing so much that I cleaned my plate. I ordered garlic toast instead of a garlic roll and was unimpressed with the toasts flavor and texture. My fountain drink was delivered and was a pleasant way to clear my palate for the coming main course.The lasagna with meat sauce arrived resembling a small island in its dish that was overfilled with what reminded me of Campbells tomato soup mixed with milk, not a traditional marinara. There was extra cheese on the sauce but, I didnt find meat in the sauce.My fist bite of pasta was disappointing as it lacked moisture and was extra chewy. I searched through the tiny portion for better pasta and gave up by bite number 3. I then left the table to pay for my meal.A small house salad, 1/2 piece garlic toast and 1/4 glass of Dr. Pepper cost me $8.06 after crediting the bill for the lasagna that was too hard to chew with an unappetizing sauce. I may go back as I noticed other diners enjoying steak dinners that looked and smelled fabulous.
Pastrami sandwich lunch special is a cold sandwich. I wish they would have stated that on the menu. Did enjoy the toasted bread however.

Came in 20 minutes before closing. I was sure i would be turned away or at least told it would have to be to go. Pleasantly surprised they allowed my party to be seated. The food was delicious! They had 1/2 servings as well which was a normal size. (I was comfortable full not miserable full) not once did i feel pressured to hurry up even after official closing time. When we sat down the waitress took drink order and informed us they were out of ice but someome was already next door buying ice. next time though i will stay and save room for the dessert! It looked fantastic! though Great service! Once again GREAT SERVICE DELICIOUS FOOD THIS WILL BE MY GO TO ITALIAN!
My wife and I go here often, especially on the weekends. Weve had many of the dishes, including lasagna, sausage and peppers, pizza, and our favorite - the meat ravioli! Every time the food is great, and the service is top-notch too! Russos is a great place to stop when going through Banning, and even if youre having a meeting too!Update - Its been awhile, and we continue to go to Russos when were in the Pass area. Food is always great, and so is the service. The wait staff is getting to know us, so that should tell you something! Anyway, keep up the good work!Update - 11-11-15 - We were back at Russos on a date day and had lunch. As always, the food was great as usual. Met a friend there too by happenstance - and she indicated the same thing weve known for a long time - Russos is our favorite restaurant too! Thanks much.
Okay service, the servers were a little ditsy but very nice. The food itself was mediocre at best, the alfredo and marinara sauce and garlic toast were pretty bland but still good. The white clam sauce was the best part, very flavorful and goes great with the pasta selection! Would have given 5 stars if the food was better

Been patronizing Russos for many, many years since the days of Paradise Pizza (their first startup business down the street). The servers are quick in taking orders & checking on you throughout your meal. The Best Italian food this side of the Atlantic Ocean.

My husband and I enjoy trying different restaurants and usually pick really good one but this time was not so great. We can start on how are you a Italian restaurant but dont have parmesan cheese, my husbands ICEtea didnt have ice, my sparkling wine tasted like it was left on the counter open,our bread came when we were about to leave, the Alfredo tasted like milk no taste no garlic just milk, the diablo pasta was literally crushed tomatoes and crushed peppers. Dont really understand were the 4.4 stars come from but will definitely be the last time we visit.
We have dined here for the last 9 years or so and can say it is a great place! We usually have the Veggie Lasagna and the awesome-tasting garlic toast along with the salad with house dressing. Their prices are very reasonable, you receive a ton of food and you will probably be asking for a takeout container to take home the extra food you cannot finish. The service has always been top-notch and we appreciate the way they do business at this restaurant. Very clean and excellent food for sure!
The owners really care about the community. They contributed so much food to the senior shut ins during COVID. Now that the community kitchens are open for the needy again, they can put their energies back to focusing on serving their regular customers. We went last night for the veal and the chicken parmigiana, the veal cannelloni, and the shrimp scampi. My friends raved about the parmigiana and the cannelloni. They even have a sauce blend called Rosa- which was so incredible. The waitress was fast and friendly and the food came out on time. I’m so happy they are open for business!
Everything was great! The staff was especially friendly “ miss Brittany “ was her name I think. .and the cook was very friendly when we left he said goodbye and hoped we enjoyed our meal and asked us to come back with a genuine smile . Also our food was great worth the drive from Redlands
Really not impressed with the place.I ordered an appetizer, half way in; my plate arrived. I ordered Shrimp Alfredo with Broccoli. The sauce wasnt an Alfredo sauce but a cheap bechamel that tasted like flour. The Broccoli had been boiled, all saggy. The best thing about the dish was the shrimps.I really hope that their pizza is better than that.
Me and my boyfriend both went in for the first time to Russo’s to celebrate our anniversary and we had a great experience. Staff was friendly and Candice was a great server! We enjoyed the shrimp Alfredo pasta, it had a really creamy sauce that melted in your mouth! 10/10 would recommend to try it !
Traveling through Banning, CA and stopped at Russo’s at the suggestion of our hotel receptionist. We both ordered the lasagna! It was baked in the oven and very delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The bathroom was clean but it smelled like urine. The restaurant was clean and the food was hot and delicious. I never saw the kitchen and the service was fast advocate. There was seven of us for lunch and they served us quickly

Johnny Russos Italian restaurant can compete with all the other Italian restaurants and come out ahead. Their food is always delicious, the service is great, and the staff is always friendly. One of my favorite dishes is the half and half; cheese raviolis and fettuccine both with alfredo sauce. Delicious, wont disappoint!!
If I was rating on the food alone it would hands down be a five star review, but I gave this review 4 stars because the service is ALWAYS a hit or miss. For the most part its a miss. The service is normally very slow with not many upbeat or smiling faces serving you. But the food is worth it, it is so delicious! Their dinner salad is literally my favorite salad Ive ever had & their chicken piccata is God-sent. But either way, try this place out. Even if service is slow, the food is some of the best Italian around.
The food is just ok. The marinara was way too spicy. The eggplant Parmesan was good as was the bean soup. My main complaint is this place takes no precautions for covid even during the current omicron breakout and therefore seems to attract anti-maskers who actually hasseled my family in the parking lot with a talking car horn because we were masked. My septuagenarian father has a medical condition that means he probably wouldnt survive covid infection so I wont return any time soon, thank you very much.
Enjoyed a wonderful evening with my wife on Friday night. We had great service by Rebecca, the food and wine were delicious, and the live music created a spectacular atmosphere. The delight of the evening was meeting Johnny Russo and his wife. They came to our table and showed genuine hospitality, even treated us to some amazing homemade chocolate cake. 5 stars!

Went for granddaughters Birthday and waitress was very awesome for our party of 16.Myself being their a few times love their soup and bread but this time ventured out to try the halibut.I love this fish and has been awhile for me.My plate came with the fish in a white sauce which I love all the white gravies.I tried so hard to eat a view bites of the fish which had a strong smell not good number 1 and not flakey under cooked but taste burnt and the sauce was a strange taste did not even mix with the halibut.My stomach right away upset.I stopped eating and just packed it up to take home.2 others in my party with the white sauce did the same.The flavor was so bad no season and with that sauce just horrible but everyone who stayed with the Italian foods enjoyed their food.So no fish next time..

We came across this spot almost 5 years ago and eat here around twice a month. Its about 40 minutes from home but well worth the drive. I absolutely love this spot. The food is authentic, tasty, fast and great service. Its a must have ♡
I love their dinner salad, A very basic salad with Ranch, Shredded Mozzarella. The Shrimp Alfredo with Broccoli was 4/10. I didnt eat too much of it, The serving is way too big, Broccoli was too chewy, The Alfredo sauce was dumped on the pasta, Not mixed in with like we do at my work.
Truthfully, Ive never eaten at this restaurant. The menu and the pictures online look amazing and probably taste even better. I live in Dallas TX and was in a pinch. One of my colleagues is in Banning, CA caring for a very ill family member. The situation is very sad and the family was spending long days at the hospital. I googled restaurants near by and came across Russos. I called and asked if they did delivery and they said that they catered large orders. I explained the situation only to find out I was speaking to Mr. Russo himself. Without hesitation he said he be happy to cater this meal for this family and even personally deliver the food himself. I got a call later that evening from my colleague who was very thankful and said the food was some of the best Italian food shes ever had. This all goes with out saying that Mr. Russo is an awesome person. He could have easily said that he couldnt do it but he went out of his way to deliver this tired and saddened family an amazing meal. With a leader like that I can only imagine the love and hard work he puts into his restaurant and the meals he cooks for his patrons. Im a total stranger and he treated me and my colleague like family. I can only image the excellent service youll get sitting in his restaurant. Ill have to plan a trip to his restaurant in the near future next time Im in California.
Russos just catered our company Christmas Party for 25 people and it was fabulous! We ordered the Lasagna, Alfredo Fettuccine and Italian Sausage. The meal came with salad and garlic bread. There was plenty of food for the group with enough for some to take home. There were compliments from everyone on how good the food was. I highly recommend Russos Italian Kitchen if you are planning a party or just want a great place to eat. Thank you Johnny and all your staff for helping make our party a huge success.

I would give 5 but Ive known him since 92 my mother worked for him many years he treated her very well.i worked for him as well in paradise pizza as a driver delivery, he stayed in town and I love that.but he got fancy and he isnt.so to see a new restaurant and a fancy idea betrays him in a way. He never was expensive never.
Made an order through GrubHub. Nearly two hours later I was informed the restaurant had cancelled the order due to the restaurant closing (It was mid day) or not currently accepting orders. All Id ordered was a sandwich and Mac and Cheese bites.
As always its a great experience. Been coming here since it opened in 1999. Great food and wait staff. The owners are amazing people. They remember who you are and always try to say hi.

My friend and I ordered two pasta dishes plus one piece of cheesecake we shared. Today was the lunch special of Ziti...we had the clam chowder and garlic toast. They make the soup and breads/rolls fresh ..very friendly service!
1st time eating here and it did not disappoint. The house salad was delicious as was the chicken fettuccine alfredo! I also highly recommend the dinner roll as well! Great lunch portions and prices!
Omgosh!! Best Pizza Ever!! Im totally hooked!! Im a little embarrassed to admit that we get this delicious pizza about twice a week ( Hee hee) but its the truth!! Great sauce, fresh veggies and the best pepperoni n ham. Well, hey, it covers all the food groups in one shot and in a scrumptious way. Employees are super nice too! Always patient and sweet with me. I havent tried their other foods but if the pizza is any indication of the quality and taste then they must be excellent too. Ill let ya know when I try something new at Johnny Russos but for now I can honestly say I highly recommend the pizza and service. Good work guys!! It was our first time there and we were totally impressed !! Servers were very friendly and service was fantastic!! The food we had was excellent and I believe that anyone would be satisfied with whatever they ordered. I cant wait to try the pizza. Thats next for sure...
Service was horrible. Asked several times for drinks and our bread for dinner they never came. She then told us she would pack them to go. We had a party of 4. Waitress only seemed to be interested in chatting with regular customers. I hope they tipped her well because we didnt tip at all.
Our son was visiting us from Illinois this past week and asked us to take him to the best pizza place around no doubt there was only one choice in this area. Russos by far has the best for pizza and great pasta, their sausage and pepper appetizer is to die for. The service is always great and prices are very reasonable.
Amazing find right here. The employees were all moving about taking care of guests and every single one of the 3 or 4 I came in contact with all offered help and greeted me. Great job guys oh and it smelled awesome!
The food here is always amazingly good! Been coming here for about 15 years now from Indio, CA. Feel in love with the Spaghetti and Meatballs the best ever! The garlic bread is like no other and the salad with homemade Italian dressing is to die for. The Italian wedding soup is so authentic. I suggested to friend that is Italian to try this place after not being able to find a good quality Italian restaurant in the area. She called me and told me that Johnny Russos is the real deal and praised them so much. Give this place a try and youll see why this place is still around after all these years!
Food was not very good and service was very slow even though it wasn’t very busy, we started with the sample platter appetizer and the macaroni and cheese balls and mozzarella sticks were still cold in the middle, not to mention my boyfriend is very allergic to seafood and there was 2 piece of calamari mixed in some how, thank god I noticed and pulled them off the plate before he ate it. Next, I had a spicy shrimp pasta and the shrimp didn’t look that fresh or good and kinda threw my appetite off as I was eating it and he got the chicken parmesan which he does report was really good but it was so tiny!! And the large side of spaghetti was pretty good, but the star of the show was supposed to be the chicken parmesan so idk what happened there. All in all, we will pry not be back again.

Amazing food plus the dinner salad with toast worth the price ..The only downside for me would (take out) I pay for a full meal unfortunately a drink is NOT included you have to buy that separate. Other than that friendly staffand its clean 💯
Not my favorite Italian quisine.... Garlic bread was hard and dry, no flavor in pesto sauce on the angel hair pasta.....had to add salt, which I never do. Maybe other choices were better. Waitress was friendly.

The worst calamari I have ever had😖It was fried hard and burnt and so was the Zucchini burnt hard with little taste.Will never go back and spreading the word on how bad this place has become 🤮🤮🤮

This is a place that is a regular stop on my weekly lunch route. The lunch specials are perfect in price as well as portions. The staff is friendly and the food is always good. My personal favorites include pasta with Mushroom Garlic sauce, Chicken Giovani, Italian Wedding soup and the homemade dinner rolls are always a treat. The sandwiches are excellent as well. The bread is toasted perfectly and I like the shredded lettuce and the red italian dressing!
The clam soup was very good! The seafood shells misses seafood flavor.
Russos is my favorite restaurant in the area. As a waitress myself, I have high standards when I go out to eat, especially on a single moms budget. The friendly ladies at Russos are great at what they do, and they cheerfully tolerate my boyfriends sense of humor and my little boys picky food preferences. The food is great and prices are very reasonable!

My parents introduced me to Russos after they read a review in Inland Empire magazine. Ive been to Russos twice and the food has been great both times. Service has been fantastic and I have no complaints whatsoever!

They do not follow proper protocols. Most employees were masked but multiple individuals in the kitchen were not. They also did not follow proper six foot distancing between tables. The food was decent but disappointed by their lack of proper protocols. It would be more stars if they werent operating illegally.
If you enjoy a restaurant where about 75% of the staff dont wear masks correctly and get an attitude when you point it out, this place is for you. You can be assured that someone will breathe COVID all over your food and, in my case, not even get the order correct while doing so. Theyll also ignore the mandate against indoor dining, so COVID can be passed from the illegal customers, to the staff not wearing their masks, and breathed directly onto your food.I say this as someone who has loved Russos for years, but the way they handle business now is disgraceful. If theyre willing to put customer safety at risk during a global pandemic, what other safety rules are they ignoring because theyre inconvenient? Im sad to say that Russos has lost my business as I simply dont trust them to handle my food.

Half of a cherry tomato, some cheese, and lettuce is not a salad, Untoasted hamburger buns for for garlic bread??? No utensils or napkins made it hard to eat in the hotel.The lasagna was OK but nothing special.
This place is great! The food is wonderful, good service and the owner is very much involved- I appreciate that. If you make contact with Mr. Russo about your experience at his restaurant you can be sure that he will respond- every time. You really do get a family feel at Russos.

Havent been to Russos in quite a while, since they closed the Beaumont location. Sorry I waited so long to come back. Dinner was excellent, and our server was personable and kept checking on us to make sure everything was ok. Portions were large, and allowed us to enjoy some leftovers the next day. Even got a dessert to go which was delish the next day. Cant wait to go back.
Within COVID-19 restrictions, the place was very busy. The back room was full of Trumpers. The restaurant could have used some extra service staff. After all we were there on a Wednesday evening, and we got there before 5:30. Normally a very friendly and efficient staff, tonight, they were overwhelmed.
Id been craving professionally prepared pasta fo several days, and i decided to go to Russos alone for dinner. The meat ravioli with meat sauce was delicious, and the senior portion allowed me to order dessert. The Razzleberry pie was better than I expected. I usually get pie at Polllys pies or Marie Calendars as I love pie like grandma used to make. Its nice to find someplace locally that knows how to make flaky crust. Ive had a lot of poor pie in the pass area.
I came here to 4 years ago for mine, my cousin, and step-aunts high school graduation and it was awesome. Tonight the food was great, the canoli was heavenly, and Rebecca is the dopest waitress Ive ever met. Shout out to Rebecca for making mine and my moms dinner experience awesome!
My family and I have eaten at Russos for years. We have a special liking for their Antipasta salad that we often order as take out and eat for dinner. My husband and I will split one of those salads and thats all we eat for dinner. When we dine in we have tried different meals and have never been disappointed. Generous portions means we always have a doggie bag for another meal. Small town atmosphere as the owner frequently wanders through the dining room greeting diners. Five stars is well deserved.

Went in today, with mom and daughter for the first time, saw a packed parking lot, turns out there was a party, our waitress was nice but totally checked out, she knew nothing of the menu, was spaced out for sure, i had to clear my own dishes and repeatedly ask for water, coffee..which never came until i got up and reminded her, 20 minutes later.i had the chicken parm, very good, mom had the roast beef sandwich, no good, sooooo dry,daughter had manicotti..bland.Canolli..lol..hard no good...its all pre made, the fettucine was tough...over all i really liked the parm, i would never have that waitress again, nice but useless.

This is way more that a pizza kitchen. This is a full service Italian restaurant with portions so big you cant eat it in one sitting. We had enough left over for another meal at home. Their lobster ravioli was excellent.

One way to get my wifes eyes to light up is just ask, How bout if we go to Johnnies tonight? We already know what we want. For me it is the Eggplant Parmesan and for her it is Spaghetti with Red Clam sauce. Johnnies has the best homemade Italian bread thats great with the Wedding Soup as a starter. Its a personal, cozy, non-chain restaurant -- great bang for the buck. The pizza is great too. This is a restaurant that has something for everyone in the family. We recommend this best kept secret in the Inland Empire.

Honestly they are losing their touch. Eggplant was tough, spaghetti was overcooked and dry. My personal pizza was doughy and just seemed like cheese bread to me. Otherwise theyre usually on point. I dont know what happened?

Home cooked styled Italian. Big portions, right price. Friendly atmosphere. Do not expect the Italian to be Americanized. The calzones were fantastic.
Incompetent servers. They finally get new booths, still have good food but the servers are incredibly slow. And frankly, they dont care either. We would make a 35 minute drive from Palm Springs just to eat here. No more.
This is one of my favorite places in Banning, I love their fresh food and Im never disappointed. I especially love their mixed vegetables and fish, I love the fact that they have gluten free pasta and gluten-free pizza, it is wonderful!

I have always had good food there. The chicken picatta is delicious. The decor is not fancy but its a small town and nothing is fancy there. Whenever I take new people there, they enjoy it too.

Arrived to meet up with co workers for a farewell dinner. Orders were already placed when I arrived. Waited too long for waitress to check back at our table so I could order. When she finally arrived I requested a menu so I could order my selections. My food arrived with no utensils or napkins to eat with. Waited too long for waitress again, so I had to get up and find one to ask for utensils and a napkin. Service was terrible, food was mediocre. A tip was not deserved but I gave her a $1.00 anyway

Excellent restaurant. The marinara sauce is very robust and incredible. The alfredo sauce is slightly heavy on the cream side but delicious nonetheless.
Meat lovers pizza is delish. Calamari was ok...wasnt a fan of the cocktail sauce that accompanied it. Overall nice family place to eat.

My daughter chose them because this is where they ate on their first date. Our family has been customers for 24 years. Highly recommend.

The location is great and so is parking. Even when busy the staff is still attentive. I had the Chicken Bella and it was delicious! If you ever have a taste for Italian this is the place to go.

My husband and I went here for Valentines, and got one of three specials (see photos). The dinner was amazing, and the chocolate cake, served only for Valentines specials, was phenomenal! If you love chocolate, this is your place! They were busy, but service was exceptional.

Food is not really that good. We ordered different items to taste a view and food is average. I would not call this good Italian food.The pizza dough is the worst I have ever had. Literally, pizza dough is really, really horrible. I could not even eat my pizza it was so badThe other items were ok but nothing I would go for if I pick italian food. There is better options out there.I will try this restaurant again in the near future to see if they improved the dough for pizza and hopefully I can change this review to a 5 star. Staff definitely would deserve it.

2021-12-29 04:33:14A local favorite. I had the wedding soup and a side salad with homemade Italian dressing. The wedding soup was tasty. It would have been better hot instead of lukewarm. The same with the garlic toasted bread. Serve it hot… it makes a difference. The salad was fresh with lots of mozzarella and tomatoes. The dressing was more of a marinara than a dressing. It was just too thick.
