2022-12-11 06:12:49First, I have to say that they serve beer in the plastic cup. This is not respectful behavior for the beer. :( Food and price are reasonable, but it can be better. 1. I did not like the idea of soup is made of water and sauce. 2. Veggie can be improved (quantity and variety). Otherwise, it was good service and and fun experience.

2023-11-04 06:12:34$50 meal and you get to cook it yourself and dont forget this is not an all you can eat joint. In a bar-like setting, Joon Shabu Shabu, is not your traditional place and more just an Asian hot pot. With a limited selection of meats, the menu is simple and yet elegant. Base flavors for the soup are subtle and as strong as you want to muster out by squeezing the bottle. Dipping sauces are surprisingly delicious and pair very well with the meats. Vegetable selection is also on par with having the hot pot essentials further making a complete meal. The favorites are either the Angus beef or the blade-cut Joon beef. You really can not go wrong. The quality is high and perfectly sliced thin. The staff is good and friendly with the occasional hiccup of not filling your water glasses frequently enough.Contentiously, is the value of this. Although, tasty in nature with excellent ingredients, Joon Shabu Shabu is a good choice for your hot pot fix. Unfortunately, the standard $37 base pricing for a large dinner portion is quite a bit light compared to some alternatives elsewhere in the city. Additional add-ons can set you back another $10 and if youre a protein-seeking carnivore you can easily tack on another $20-$30 per person.

2021-11-01 03:19:35This was recommended by my brother and we finally had a chance to try Joon today. What a great, delicious experience. 2 Shabu bars-high/low-We went high. There were 5 types of dipping sauces-2 complimentary per order but they all were so tasty decided to do all 5 ($1.50 for the 5th sauce)Jason gave us a sampling flight so we can decide. For our mains we opted for the Dinner Angus portions. Jason, our server, gave us some quick 101 tips and even prepped the water broth by mixing in a couple sauces, which were so tasty. I really like how generous they are with the condiments (especially the chopped fresh garlic 😋😋) The Angus was well portioned as were the vegetables. Kevin, the owner, came by and checked on us. What a nice man and we really appreciated that. Parking is very easy. There are meters on the street and a public lot across from the restaurant, also meters, I think. They were really conscientious in spacing guests far enough apart. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

2023-05-15 05:36:23Service was pretty slow even though it wasn’t busy. Meat option on the menu is fair.. the manager and workers were gossiping aloud about one of their coworker’s the whole time we were eating.. Awkward. Unprofessional.

2022-04-19 03:08:15This place was quiet the experience. This is a place where you basically make your own Ramen noodle soup. You sit at the bar or table and begin to boil your broth and make your selection of meats and veggies. Then you can add in your sauces are garlic and a whole bunch of other stuff. Its kind of like KBBQ version of soup. The staff is super friendly and will guide you on how to make your broth just right.

2023-06-19 05:27:19Truly the best Shabu Shabu in LA. We make it a habit to go around trying different Shabu Shabu places in any city we go to and Joon Shabu Shabu is by far the best. Their service is amazing, everyone is very nice. The portions are really good and all of their sauces are delicious. Everything tastes homemade. Their base sauces are one of a kind. This is our go-to place for Shabu Shabu

2022-10-06 01:49:10The place was spotless and I could tell the owner and staff take cleaning and presentation seriously. The food was fresh and delicious. The amount of sauces were a nice selection to pick from. Ordering was simple and in that simplicity the food really took the spotlight. Will definitely be coming back.

2020-01-14 06:09:22This place is good. I wouldn’t call it a traditional Shabu Shabu house but it’s close enough. I ordered the Angus Beef and for $28 for a large dinner it’s reasonably priced. The Angus Beef had good marble and an excellent taste. What sets this place apart from more traditional Shabu Shabu house is the ability to spruce up your base with a couple of soup bases that they provide for you. One leans spicy while the other is more savory with a little bit of sweetness to it. They also offer 4 or 5 dipping sauces. I tried the Goma and the Soya...both leaned sweet and they don’t really give you a lot of it. Service is good.
