Tried Jowlis for the first time to cater a small 4th of July get together. Ordered palabok, menudo, kare-kare, fresh and fried lumpia to name a few. The bilo bilo was tasty, not too sweet, and excellent consistency. Overall, everything was presented well. Lilian was very helpful and we didnt have any issues with our order. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but this most recent visit the quality went down significantly. I’m happy that they’re still in business and hope the quality improves.Side note, the only patis (fish sauce) they have is mixed with soy sauce already.
Some of the best Filipino food in entire Central Valley as well as paradigm customer service. I came moments before closing and they still took me in. Not only that, as a way to express and apology for running out of Pancit for the day, the Lady gave me tons of freebies, claiming that they can’t resell it tomorrow anyway so I may as well take it. Folks, we are talking about an establishment that truly understands, appreciates, and welcomed their customers. The food is genuine Filipino cuisine that reminds me of my repeated stays in Cebu. I would strongly recommend Jowli’s to anybody ready to experience local Filipino delicacies or looking for a nice restaurant with amicable staff. Easiest 5 stars I’ve give out in a while!

As a Filipino who is an excellent cook, but has no A/C, a small kitchen & limited budget for family of 6 who are NOT of same heritage & only mediocre appreciation for the cuisine, it makes sense to get my pinoy food fix elsewhere. Jowlis is the best place to do this. The Philippine Grocery is good... but Jowlis combo meals are tasty, authentic, & most importantly to me, cost effective. Personally, I think my Lumpia & Pancit Guisado are superior to everyone else, but cost of superior ingredients & time needed for one person is crazy, & the amount of pancit I usually make is a blessing to others instead of me. My pork adobo is good,b but Jowlis is better. For $10, the combo is the way to go. Food is great & staff is too. Jowlis is real deal
I love this small informal Filipino restaurant, now celebrating their 7th year in Fresno. My faves are the adobo combos (chicken & pork) but they have a huge variety of offerings & they are inexpensive. Lots of Filipino customers, which is always a good sign at an ethnic place. Lots of pastries & sweets on display at the front counter, lots of take out biz. Really nice place!
Visiting from out of town for a wrestling tournament. Found this place on Google and loved it!! Great food, price, service, and dessert!! Will definitely come back next time we are in town. P.S. the lumpia was delicious!!
I had the topsilog from their breakfast menu and it was really good! And I had their spaghetti as well, that was really good too. They sadly dont have kids meals for the kids, and kids might need help finishing the food, since it is kind of big. The food was delicious, and they had an LBC place in the same building. Service was ok, when people arent ordering food their is nobody there to help you but if they see you or hear the bell that rings when you open the door, they will come to help you if you need anything. They have a TV, but it is not in English, since it is a Filipino restraunt/cuisine.
I ordered the 2 item combo plate, pork adobo and diniguan w/ steamed rice. I had also got some turon, it was all so good. I definitely will be going back next time I will be trying their halo-halo
When I first got here in Fresno Jowlis was the only new Filipino restaurant open. There food was good and still love going there. But it wasnt like before that they have a good dessert that u can just grab on the counter. But ever since another Filipino store opened up thats a bit closer to me. Dont get me wrong I love Jowlis fresh food and desserts.. not like the other Filifino Store that open up. Love Jowlis the most..But after i found out that there food is not freshly cook. Thats all im going to say. I got very disappointed. 🤬🤬 like we got robbed.

All around 1 star.First and last time for me. Went in and waited about ten minutes before being asked if I wanted something. After getting my order, it was a super small portion from what was shown in the photo. Its pricey for the portion to look like kids portion.Horrible first impression.
Nice clean place serving authentic Filipino dishes. The guy wasnt very helpful but the lady there fortunately came out front and took the time to explain dishes which was very helpful. Will definitely go back in.
I grew up in a small city which was mostly Hispanics and Filipinos so I really miss eating some good lumpias. This place defintley did not disappoint, Ill be coming back for lumpias again. 10 for $5 you cant beat that.
While theyre in the lower side of popularity in terms of filipino cuisine in the realm of Fresno, Id say that they bring in a very authentic filipino restaurant vibe and taste.You can order breakfast food such as tapsilog, tosilog, bangsilog, as well as lunch food. While I think some of the prices may just be a tad bit expensive, they do taste darn good.I like the service, the ladies up in the front are generally nice and I enjoy speaking to them in tagalog.The place is not packed so you can probably get in and get out in about 5-10 minutes.Overall the place is good :)
I had my first Filipino food experience here! I like it better than Chinese, which I would say is pretty overrated at this point after having tried Filipino food. Anyways, the food was great, as well as the Halo-Halo!

My wife has been craving Filipino food all week, so we finally made the 30 minute trip to Jowlis. We arrived on a Saturday at 3:45pm, and there isnt a single customer in the restaurant. The cashier told us that they are too busy to take any orders, that if we want food, to come back after 6pm. An hour on the road, just to be told they wont serve us!

2023-04-26 18:42:10Ahh..the best in town! Authentic Filipino home comfort food. So good, I didnt remembered any their food name lolz. This place is spacious, plenty of seats. Nice and clean restroom. We got chicken, beef, spicy beef, ground beef. Reasonable price for the portion. The halo halo is the best I got so far. Big chunk of jelly. Mixed it well before enjoy it. So full, coming back for more of their deserts.

Nasty people who cook old foodThe food was cold the lumpia had been fried a long time ago then put in fridge then fried wben we ordered so it wasnt crunchy chicken adobo had no flavor & the rice was made with to much water & table wasnt clean had dry pancit on it i cleaned it i wasnt gonna pay & send it back i was being polite & paid $37 not worth it

2023-07-07 17:45:50Really enjoyed the lumpia here, pork and veggie version. We came by to try the lumpia because we wanted to order a party tray for an event at the end of June 2023. I couldnt find many places in Fresno area that sold party trays-glad Jowlis advertises their party trays. Delicious and juicy pork lumpia (Shanghai) and delicious veggie ones as well. We ordered 150 pork lumpia for the event and they went fast! Everyone enjoyed them and the order/pick up process was perfect. Our order was being packaged right on time and arrived at the event hot!

2023-06-08 03:56:37Im new to Filipino Cuisine. I found Jowlis to be mild in spiciness and of neutral flavor for most palates. This place is family friendly and had good low carb options and great shaved ice/icecream cups. It felt ver authentic!
