It was first time ordering from Joy City so Im just speaking from my experience. Went in to order out, was greeted by a friendly woman who handed me a menu. First impression good. When I arrived no other customers were there not until I was seated. Nice clean space. Not a lot of wiggle room for large parties. Ordered the Crab Meat w/ Fish Maw Soup, Tofu w/ Mixed Vegetables, Fish Fillet w/ Cream Corn, and Potstickers for a total of $46.80 + $4.10 Tax + Tip. Love the Potstickers, the soup needs flavor, veggies are good but the tofu was not to my liking. For me they were a little over fried. The Fish Fillet w/ Cream Corn was good.

There was a waitress in this store who was about 50 years old. Her service attitude was very poor. She was also very uneducated and rude. She chased customers away before we finished eating. This made my friend and I very unhappy. I don’t want to argue with such an incompetent person. Here’s a reminder to all my friends.

Chow Mein was literally sitting in a puddle of oil. Ordered vegetable fried rice and got home with chicken fried rice -sub egg. Flavor of food was actually pleasant but the grease ruined the meal. Will not be back.

The crab here is amazing. The service is very friendly. The egg yolk crab was my favorite dish. Plates of food were medium size. I liked the turn table. Made getting to other ontrays easy

Nice neighborhood chinese food that is always consistent with their cooking. We got the stir fried flounder that was a real treat.

We did take out, and I dont think I can come back again. We ordered the hot and sour soup, unfortunately I did have to go home and add my own rice wine vinegar to make it sour with my own salt and pepper to add any taste. It tasted like bamboo shoot water rather than soup before I added anything. We also ordered pot stickers, the meat and sauce were a very good flavor however they were very doughy. We had the salt and pepper tofu, which was okay but again no salt and pepper again missing flavor. I dont wish to try it again its not for me I would look elsewhere.

Came later in the night around 8 PM, loud table of Chinese (Cantonese) regulars. Food was not the best but I do like the vegetables (芥菜). The dishes had that old-school Chinese American restaurant feel so heavy on gravy etc. Not my favorite but decent value.

Our family dined in for my MIL’s birthday and we picked the family meal B. There were 20 of us. The food was excellent and the service was great. Delicious food and plentiful. We even had a lot of food left over that we took home. The restaurant is clean also. I highly recommend this place.

Always great food!! Take out only!Great hot and sour soup, chicken wings, Mongolian chicken, and pork fried rice! Yum!Sometimes difficult to call in your order because the line is always busy. If you walk in they are fast and you can wait inside for order. Most definitely our go to place and prices are not crazy expensive.

I was staying in the area and happened across this Chinese resto. Walked over from the hotel. I was surprised at some of the real authentic Chinese menu items offered and specials. Different kinds of crab and things like pork belly and the porridge even on the menu. There was of course all the normal American faves, like sweet and sour stuff and egg rolls. As I sat there I saw most of the to go orders were for the American style foods and the people sitting in the restaurant were getting the more authentic stuff. I got the Chicken fried rice with salty fish which was recommended to me by an Asian friend and pork belly braised, cause anything pork belly I love. The food here is fantastic, but I can see getting food to go youll lose some of the experience of the food ... just like to go pizza is never as good as dine in pizza all fresh and hot.
