Excellent dishes, good banchan - fresh and crispy kimchi, delicious daikon, etc. We got the combo meal which was plenty for two people. It can get busy so plan accordingly

This place is probably the best place i’ve actually ever eaten at, the food is honestly so good there’s no words for it. i’ve been here maybe 4 times, 3 with my friends and 1 with my parents. even my picky parents said it was probably one of the best places they have ever eaten; the atmosphere is clean, the service is great and food is so fresh!! it comes out within 5 minutes and just tastes phenomenal

I definitely recommend this place!! I was craving Korean food so much. The chef knows how to cook with pleasant texture each of ingredients even for side dishes. I was dine in the restaurant last weekend. They served faster kindly. We had spicy tofu, white tofu with Galbi and Bulgogi 2 combinations. My 2yrs old baby ate so well white tofu soup and most of side dishes with big smiling. FINALLY!!! i found the real authentic Korean restaurant in bay area. We took a way chicken and ate next day Even that was still tasty. Thank you for good food. My picky husband said that feels healthy like mom’s home cook👍👍👍

The food is absolutely incredible. Reasonably priced, abundant and absolutely delicious.Staff was gracious and attentive.It is a quiet spot located at the end of the strip in a supermarket shopping center, but inside the atmosphere is quaint, we went for lunch, we will definitely go back for dinner.

This restaurant is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in this area. They have authentic Korean food, their food is not too salty or sweet like other restaurants. I highly definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great food made with love. It’s a family-owned restaurant; and they make authentic delicious Korean food! Super polite people, great service. Tried their bibimbap, bulgogi bbq, seafood pancakes, kimchi stew and beef tofu soup. Loved all of them! Great for bigger groups, or for family-style sharing. Affordable price for such high-quality food. Plenty of side dishes options as well. Highly recommend this place. Small restaurant but cozy and welcoming.

Props to the server. She was the only one but seemed to handle it pretty well. It wasnt super busy or anything but it was somewhat busy. She was able to meet or needs without making us wait or anything considering the amount of people there and the fact that she was the only server. Food here was decent. Got the curry tofu soup which was sort of unique. There isnt meat in it though. Soup was boiling hot. In fact, it was too hot because my egg yolk got cooked before I was able to get to it. Better then it not being hot enough. I hate it when my egg never cooks. Not the best that I have had but it wasnt bad. Bulgogi was ok. Same with the spicy chicken and banchans. Not necessarily impressed by the food or anything.

This place is legit! All of the banchan were delicious. I love their tofu soup combo options. I got a combo with soup and dol sot bibimbap... heaven. Service was amazing as well, super friendly. So excited to have this close to my house. Will be back for sure.

I had the ramyun because I was craving so said eff it. And got dduk ramyun (Ramen with Rice cakes). It was... Definitely a different taste than ramen. Less explosive in overall flavor but still very tasty. Noodles were more chewy which I do like, and the broth was very light and delicious. Imma definitely come back during lunch specials because this place is pretty good and has promise to be one of my new favorite spots. An overall fulfilling meal too.

Didn’t get a chance to take pictures because we were starving, but the food tasted great, we ordered the cheese corn for our appetizer and for the entree we ordered the bulgogi, japchae, and a seafood tofu stew. Service was amazing. We were seated right away, and the waitress made sure that our cups were always full as well as the sides that they provide for every table. Will definitely be going back here again for lunch

I ordered beef bin bam for $22 and got no beef. 2 slices that is 1/4 oz. Or less. Then I called them and they said that yah it’s not beef plate. Beef is an appetizer it’s mostly vegetarian and rice dish with rib bit beef. For $22 no beef. Not worth it. I can go to Berkeley Steve’s bbq $15 get 2 lbs if any meat.

When this place first opened, it was lackluster with limited menu. Today it is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food served with a vast array of banchan. I no longer have to leave San Leandro to find authentic Korean food, this place is wonderful!

I have been living in San Leandro since 2006 but Ive never even heard of this restaurant because its tucked away. I am giving 5 stars as the food is delicious and has a good price. I will definitely be visiting often from now on.

Great portion sizes. Got the bulgogi + tofu stew combo. Enough to share or eat on your own. Everything was super tasty, even the small dishes that come with the tofu stew. Looking forward to visiting again.

Just excellent. This is the kind of restaurant that locals enjoy for years until some journalist places it on a diamond in the rough list, and then you cant get in until 8:30. Totally unassuming, on the pricier side, but man is it delicious. Best fried chicken wings ever (better than San Tung in SF) so long as you let them cool down for twenty minutes. Fresh bonchon, supurb Gal bi charred just enough... I could go on. Cant wait to go back.

I ordered 2 beef sundubu 2×13.99, 1 pork bulgogi, $12.99, 1 stir fried pork belly kimchi $20.99, 1 spicy fried chicken wings $13.99. Food was good but...Total was $94 without tips. I left tips on the top of $94, but simple math for all food is $75.95 + tax $7 = $82.95, where from extra $11 is coming? Cheating is embarrassing!Forgot to add for my dine in experience, food is not 4 stars, bbq meat is average, plus they dont change grill pan like in a good places, so service is bad too.

We went w/friends. Havent been here before. We asked the waitress what to order said some items we thought wed like. I thought it was going to be more tofu since it said tofu bbq on the window. I think & feel we might have had a better food enjoyment if things were explained. Little dishes were brought & nothing said. After we tried some then called waitress back to explain. First time visiting this newly open korea restaurant in San Leandro. First off Id like to say the food is very delicous. My girlfriend and I went there for lunch and ate two flavorful dishes. The bbq short ribs(galbi) and a spicy noodle dish(japchae) which are great together. The banchae or mini fermented dishes were on par or better then most korea spots.Overall the place was really a 3 star joint. A typical hole in the wall service. Quite expensive price point. Luckily this venue is clean. The owner really should work on having enough servers. While we were there they only had 1 server/runner and 1owner/host. The place feels cluttered with cleaning supplies and paper towels out in the main dinning area.If I had to rate this place on its restaurant practices Id give it a 2. Since my review is about the food I ate I give this a 3.8 rounded up to a 4. The kitchen staff works magic back their that makes me forget all about the spray bottle on the roll kart sitting in the dinning area. If you live in the area go and visit this place for your self to get a good feel of what great Korea food tastes like.

After all the restaurant debacles this particular location has gone through, JP Seoul Tofu House looks like it has what it takes to stay for good! And I hope it does. I need another local Korean go-to since CV Tofu House closes Sundays.The yuk bae jang broth was excellent, perfect spicy level and very savory. The pulled beef was a little overcooked and there were maybe too many onions, but I would think about getting it again.My boyfriend got the naengmyeon and galbi combo. It was a hot day so of course the naengmyeon hit the spot, and the galbi had great flavor.9 types of banchan, and even though the restaurant was at ~80% capacity on a Sunday night, the waiter actually came by and asked if we wanted more sides when he saw 3 empty dishes. Ive never experienced that at another Korean restaurant! For that alone I pushed my 4 star rating to a 5. 😉Service was very good. Although our waiter confused our naengmyeon for the spicy version, they brought out the correct one right away. And I heard him explaining to other tables very patiently about how certain sojus are or the spiciness differences between medium and mild. I could tell he was working very hard. He brought our check and to-go containers without delay. From what I could tell, it was only him and an older woman doing all the front house work.The menu was pleasantly surprising in the wide variety of their dishes and how nicely paired their combos were. Id love to come back often to try out everything! Its unfortunate that Korean food is always so pricey (although understandably so!) or else Id come here every week!

If youre not Asian, specifically Korean, youre better off getting it to go. A group of 4 was seated after me and my boyfriend ans got served before us and it took a long time to have our order taken and get the bonchon/complementary appetizers. Everyone was treated better and it felt like we were being ignored. The food was good but stick to the bbq plates.

They were very accomodating. I arrived almost at closing time but they still served me and waited past closing time until I finished my meal. The waitressese were nice too. I had the bibimbap, and, combination galbi and tofu stew. The galbi was tender. Bibimbap was fresh but a bit cold(not complaining I literally was the last one. The stew was piping hot and full of tofu. Will give it another go definitely.
